Fri, 02 Dec 2016 09:29:01 -0800

Jhoom Cultivation at Sikkim is very important farming procedure. It is also called Step Cultivation. Here there is lack of plane stretched field. So all the farmers are to do very hard work to grow their food crops. So local people has to take the advantage of this type of farming. It is a very popular farming procedure in all north-east states and north Indian hilly states also. In the image, it is a part of very long field.

India Nature Watch - The track of Kalet Chu River

Tue, 29 Nov 2016 18:16:54 -0800

It is always beautiful to see a wide view of hilly river track from such a high altitude. This is the track of a very small and unknown river called Kalet Chu, one of the tributary of Rangeet River,of West Sikkim. I daily cross this river on my way towards Rangit Power House(my work site). This image was taken from near Tingmoo village, South Sikkim. Sometimes it seems that the river is coming from heaven or sometimes it also seems that it is going towards heaven. The close view of this river valley can be seen here through this link:

India Nature Watch - Waterfalls gives peace of mind

Tue, 29 Nov 2016 03:42:08 -0800

There are so many other beautiful aspects other than snow-capped peaks, stretched mountain range and snow falling in high altitude. There are so many small and large waterfalls which can be found at different places of this himalayan region and are equally beautiful. Here is one such which I photographed on my way towards Rinchenpong, West Sikkim.

India Nature Watch - Stars and city

Mon, 28 Nov 2016 14:45:11 -0800

A deftly concocted and executed night out within the city limits. The torturous off road terrain was solaced by the Japanese consort, the bitterness of cold breeze warmed with thick blankets, the night calmness was stop-gapped by intellectual discussions with friends, The intermittent hunger subdued with tasty food spiced with mom's love. Twinkling Stars and milky-way were our chaperone for the night, The bat were ruthless with their flights to kill their foe, the small waves of the Bhima river hitting the shores with dainty touch. The celestial transformation were persuading the pursuit to know oneself better in this confound world.
