'Big Brother 19' Recap: Derrick, Clips and the Double Eviction Fallout

Fri, 18 Aug 2017 18:01:38 GMT

Once again, Big Brother 19 has decided to give us a special Friday night episode. And just like last year, it's a pointless clip show that looks back at all of the drama from the first seven weeks, even though there's probably going to be ANOTHER clip show in four weeks when the Final 3 reminisces about the season.

3 Ways 'Big Brother 19' Can Turn It Around

Fri, 18 Aug 2017 16:00:00 GMT

Big Brother 19 hasn't been without its moments. Kevin has been a gift and Cody's (second) exit is one the best the show has ever seen. But tor the most part, the long-running reality competition has hit a bit of a snag in its 19th iteration. Rather than the usual back and forth that makes Big Brother so much fun, BB19 has told one story of one mission for the entire house. Jury has arrived and there's been WAY too many unanimous evictions. It's boring. All hope is not lost, though -- there are few ways that the season could (and should) be able to turn it around for something more exciting.

Why 'MasterChef' Doesn't Need More Cliffhanger Endings

Fri, 18 Aug 2017 13:14:18 GMT

Do you know why I like MasterChef? Because it's the same formula each season. A certain amount of wanna-be contestants try out. A certain amount make the cut. And then each week someone goes home until a winner is crowned. The challenges are the same. There are no live shows. There are no cliffhangers.

For me it works. I like it. I watch it every week because I want to see who cooks what, and who eventually gets cut. I certainly don't think MasterChef needs more cliffhangers like the one in "Vegas Deluxe & Oyster Shucks." Tell me who goes home in every episode. Don't leave me hanging, because it's not going to make me want to tune in any more than I already do.

Why Black Siren Should Find Redemption on 'Arrow'

Fri, 18 Aug 2017 11:20:12 GMT

What's next for the Earth-2 counterpart of our late, beloved Laurel Lance? Well, in a new interview with TV Line, Arrow co-showrunner Wendy Mericle discussed possible redemption, and how that may come to be. We believe she should find redemption as well -- for her family, her lost love on Earth-2 and to give herself a second chance at a life she deserved but was unjustly taken from on the parallel planet.

Why Cody Was the Best Terrible Player in 'Big Brother' History

Fri, 18 Aug 2017 10:23:02 GMT

Cody Nickson was pretty much doomed from the start of Big Brother 19. Despite winning that first Head of Household, Cody went mad with power. Cody betrayed his entire alliance within the first week and went from the leader of the pack to the bottom of the totem pole. The Battleback might've given Cody a second lease on life but it was always on borrowed time. Cody, quite simply, couldn't play Big Brother. Cody's the completely wrong person to win the game but that didn't stop him from becoming one of the most entertaining houseguests of the season.

Fri, 18 Aug 2017 09:16:46 GMT

Nina Dobrev Gets Candid about the Reasons She Left 'The Vampire Diaries'

Fri, 18 Aug 2017 09:15:17 GMT

The Vampire Diaries was a show full of unexpected turns but perhaps the most shocking twist of all was when Nina Dobrev decided to leave the show for good. For six seasons, the 28-year-old actress played lead character Elena Gilbert (and sometimes doppelganger villain Katherine Pierce.) She announced her departure from TVD after her contract ended in 2015 -- just a few weeks after co-star Ian Somerhalder announced his engagement to Nikki Reed. Many thought her decision to leave had to do with Somerhalder, whom she dated from 2011 to 2013. But Dobrev explains leaving the CW series was all part of her plan from the start.

Thu, 17 Aug 2017 18:59:00 GMT

It's the most exciting night of the year, the double eviction of Big Brother 19. With an entire week's worth of action crammed into a single hour, there are always highs and lows. This one is fairly predictable, with the entire house ganging up on their next target. But there is a twist thanks to the Power of Veto that finds a pawn going home.

Why Alex Should Target Elena for Eviction on 'Big Brother 19'

Thu, 17 Aug 2017 12:00:00 GMT

In the latest Veto competition, Elena made one of the silliest mistakes a Big Brother houseguest has ever made. Although Elena was on the block, she gave up the Power of Veto and took away a reward from the Head of Household, Alex. The move made Alex seriously consider taking out Elena and Cody jumped on the small opening, arguing that Alex should keep him over Elena. While it's incredibly unlikely that Alex will go along with Cody, it would be the best thing for her game.

Though Bachelor in Paradise tried to address the scandal which resulted in production shutting down during this week's two-night premiere, details about what actually transpired between Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson are still up in the air. America's Got Talent went live for the first time in Season 12 as the quarterfinals got underway, but despite a rollicking two hours of fun, a closer inspection reveals a rather sub-par effort on the collective behalf of the performers

The haves and have nots were apparent, which leads to expected results, but the fact of the matter is that few, if any, upped their game. Nearly everyone took a step back, and even the best of the night was so only because of a stumble that could have cost him his life.

'Big Brother 19' Recap: The Dumbest Episode Ever

Wed, 16 Aug 2017 18:01:36 GMT

There have been many famously terrible and idiotic moves in the history of the game. Marcellas not saving himself with the Power of Veto, Lawon volunteering to be evicted so he might return with a special power and Cody taking Derrick to the Final 2 instead of Victoria are just a few examples. But this episode of Big Brother 19 seems to take the cake, with multiple people jockeying to make the dumbest move possible.
