Thu, 19 Jan 2017 11:00:27 +0000With Barack Obama’s presidency coming to an end, I want to defend the man one last time. I am able to do such a thing because I don’t live in a Right-wing bubble. I’ve never had Obama Derangement Syndrome. In fact, for the last eight years, I have spoken against Obama Derangement Syndrome. No, I never voted for Obama. Anyone who has read my posts during his presidency should already know that I haven’t hesitated to criticize Obama’s job performance as President. At the same time, I have spoken against verbal attacks on him that are wrong. Speaking of which,

Wed, 18 Jan 2017 11:00:53 +0000ABC News has reported that more than 50 Democrat members of Congress will be skipping this week’s presidential inauguration. In other words, those Democrats are taking their balls and going home . . . except that they have no balls to begin with. Although they represent their congressional districts, they are still in the congressional minority. As such, they are not all that powerful. Perhaps those Democrats are pleasing their political base, but what they are doing will have no effect on Donald Trump. Indeed, it is not as if those Democrats will be missed. As for why they are
Wed, 18 Jan 2017 00:23:32 +0000So, President Obama has decided to commute Bradley/Chelsea Manning’s prison sentence. From ABC News: “President Obama granted a commutation to Chelsea Manning, a transgender soldier who was convicted of Espionage Act violations and other charges for leaking hundreds of thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks.” Obama might as well pardon the Russian hackers, too. Why? Because the Russian hackers are alleged to have given information about Hillary Clinton and her campaign to WikiLeaks. As CBS News reports, Manning “was convicted in 2013 in military court of six violations of the Espionage Act and 14 other offenses for providing to WikiLeaks

Mon, 16 Jan 2017 13:00:55 +0000The Republican Party continues to have a problem with its members being politically tone-deaf. From Yahoo! News: “Speeches by far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos (yuh-NAH’-poh-lihs) and former pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli were canceled Friday night after heated protests erupted at the University of California, Davis. University police put up barricades as protesters shouting “shut it down” grew increasingly rowdy in the hours leading up to the talks. The UC Davis College Republicans, who sponsored the event, chose to cancel about a half-hour before the event began.” ABC7News.com quotes the leader of the UC Davis College Republicans as saying, “We came here

Mon, 16 Jan 2017 00:30:33 +0000One again a Democrat politician is promoting the Russia-elected-Trump canard. From The Hill: “ Feinstein, the ranking member of the Intelligence Committee, said “I do. I believe that” Russia’s interference altered the outcome of the election.” Once again, let’s go over the allegations as stated in the previously-reported Intelligence Community Assessment. Russians gained information about the Clinton campaign via hacking. Russians gave that information to WikiLeaks. WikiLeaks gave that information to the public. That information was not fictitious. In short, American voters were given facts about the Clinton campaign. More from The Hill: ““I think that, and I think

Sat, 14 Jan 2017 11:00:42 +0000Dear Democrats: Your political party, as a whole, is acting juvenile right now. I am sure that there are still some adults among your members, but they are being overshadowed by the rest of your party. Indeed, some of the juvenile behavior is coming from Democratic Party leaders. From The Hill: “Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-Ariz.) announced from the House floor on Friday that he plans to boycott President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration next week. The co-chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus is the fifth House Democrat to publicly vow not to attend the inauguration on Jan. 20.” From USA Today: “In
