Mon, 20 Feb 2017 17:18:49 +0000To primary Heidi Heitkamp and Joe Manchin: My Democratic Party believes in science. My Democratic Party believes in protecting the environment. On February 17, 2017 two Democratic United States Senators voted for a man who is a climate denier, a science denier and a destroyer of the environment to head The Environmental Protection Agency. For that alone, Joe Manchin and Heidi Heitkamp must be “primaried” in 2018 and we should start finding qualified, principled, Progressive candidates in their states today who can take them on and represent true Democratic values in Congress.

Mon, 20 Feb 2017 16:12:22 +0000General Kelly is building a deportation army: Secretary Kelly ordered the director of ICE to immediately begin the process of hiring 10,000 to effectively enforce the immigration laws in the interior regions of the U.S., according to a DHS memo obtained by Breitbart Texas. In addition, Kelly authorized the agency to hire additional operational and mission support staff, along with legal staff.
Sun, 19 Feb 2017 17:13:28 +0000That’s the percentage of Americans who say Democrats should work with Trump! Of course, vulnerable senators like Heidi Heitkamp will never be allowed to work with Trump. Vive la Resistance!
Sun, 19 Feb 2017 16:16:25 +0000French “centrist” candidate plummets in polls after alienating everyone: Mr Macron provoked outrage on the Right by describing colonial rule as a “crime against humanity” during a visit to Algeria, once the jewel in France’s imperial crown. The 39-year-old independent, a relative political newcomer, then infuriated Left-wing supporters by trying to reach out to Right-wingers who opposed gay marriage, saying they had been stigmatised and “humiliated” under President Hollande’s Socialist government. […] According to an OpinionWay poll, Mr Macron and Mr Fillon ended the week level-pegging on 20 per cent, with both men trailing Ms Le Pen, on 26 per cent. An IFOP survey indicated a wider gap, with Mr Macron and Mr Fillon both on 18.5 per cent. Ms Le Pen is expected to win the first-round vote in April but polls suggest she will be defeated by whichever candidate goes through to the decisive second round runoff the following month. Maybe. Maybe not! The French establishment has been so decimated that the opposition to Le Pen consists of virtual unknowns. No wonder Fillon and Macron both self-destructed. Le Pen’s political skills, on the other hand, have been honed by years of vicious ostracization by the establishment. She won’t […]
Sun, 19 Feb 2017 15:09:49 +0000Said John McCain: “We need a free press. We must have it. It’s vital.” Agreed. Let’s ban foreign interests from controlling the “vital” American “free press.” Starting with Carlos Slim and the Old York Times!

Sun, 19 Feb 2017 14:48:14 +0000Apparently, there was a “Day Without an Immigrant” on Friday. This immigrant didn’t know about it, didn’t notice, and wouldn’t have participated anyway. But some people did, and got their just desserts: The manager of the ironically named “I Don’t Care” Bar and Grill in Catoosa, Oklahoma is hiring… After firing 12 staff last week for violating his “no call/no show” policy. […] A message to one of the employees reads: “You and your family are fired. I hope you enjoyed your day off, and you can enjoy many more. Love you.” Bwahahahaha!
Sun, 19 Feb 2017 14:35:10 +0000Chinese coal-buying accounts for half of North Korea’s exports. Money quote: “The Chinese are getting more frustrated with North Korea,” Eurasia Group President Ian Bremmer said in an interview at the same conference. “They clearly don’t feel that they have a lot of influence and they’re worried that the U.S. under Trump is going to blame China as opposed to continuing a multilateral process.”

Sun, 19 Feb 2017 03:25:53 +0000In World War II, the US military came into contact with stone-age peoples on various islands in the Pacific. Baffled by the vast abundance the Americans enjoyed, the islanders sought it for themselves. They figured all they had to do was to repeat the rituals of the Americans. So they marched around, cleared mock runways, and hoisted flags. Alas, the hoped-for divine airdrops of vehicles and supplies never materialized. There’s a name for all this sort of thing, cargo cult. The Democrats watched as their dreams for the Obama presidency melted away, almost overnight. They figure it all had to do with the evil Tea Party. So, they figure, if they organize their own Tea Party and repeat the same rituals (only amplified!), electoral votes will rain down from the sky. Alas, they’re wrong. Here’s the difference: The Tea Party was opposing unpopular policies. Those policies were so unpopular that, in the first year of Obama’s “historic” presidency, despite the united front put up by Fake News, Republican Bob McDonnell won the Virginia governorship by 20 points, Chris Christie became governor of New Jersey, and Scott Brown took Ted Kennedy’s seat! The “Resistance” itself is unpopular. To sane Americans, the […]

Sat, 18 Feb 2017 17:01:44 +0000The Marxist Pope: “Muslim terrorism does not exist.” Which brings us to our inevitable poll:
Sat, 18 Feb 2017 16:31:40 +0000Whoulda thunk importing a million Muslim “refugees” would be electoral poison? All sane people, that’s who! According to the pollsters at Infratest dimap, fully 50 percent of Germans want the next government to be led by the SPD, a result that is 14 percentage points higher than prior to the last general election in 2013. Only 39 percent want to see a government led by Merkel’s conservatives. The question is whether the leftist SPD will become pro-borders to take advantage of Merkel’s unpopularity, or whether the vacuum will be filled by the surging, pro-borders AfD.
