I saw the Staples shredder commercial. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I didn't really care for that manipulating bit of product placement...kinda took me out of the moment. I guess they know that people are fast-forwarding through the commercials so why not put the commercial in the show.
I really liked the Jim and Andy interchange...who reports to whom (Assistant Regional Manager vs. Director of Regional Sales)? I know it's not July, but can fireworks be far behind?
And what about the interchange between Ryan and Jim when Jim put his coat and bag on his old desk, which is now Ryan's desk? After Jim removed his stuff, Ryan said something like, "Jim's a nice guy. That's why it's my desk" meaning that Ryan was more willing to "fight" for it than Jim. Methinks our little temp has come far...thanks to Dwight's training regimen?
And where does Jim sit? I thought he was going to be second-in-command? Shouldn't he have an office? Or maybe that was just going to be under the Josh regine? How priceless would it be if Dwight and Andy have to report to Jim? Please o please o please...

Ransom: It looks like your dream is coming true... I mean, at the end, Michael announced that Jim was second-in-command. It was kind of funny because all Andy and Dwight cared about was who was third-in-command (!) instead of the fact that they both had to report to Jim.
And I thought the same thing about Jim having his own office.

Thanks for that. I had set my VCR to record Earl and Office forgetting that they were extended episodes so I didn't get to see the last 20 minutes of Office.
Majorly bummed out am I.
Also, did you catch the scene when they were all in the conference room for Michael's Unification Celebration and Jim wanted a piece of gum and Karen was oh-so-quick to give him one? Pam's worried/jealous glance as she watched this go down (you missed it if you blinked) was very telling.
And when Karen was setting up her voicemail and Jim was critiquing her message telling her, "You're Italian, use it." He was definitely spending more quality time with her than with Pam.
The claws are coming out...
