The Hunt for a Good Nail Salon

Ok, I get it, women are fierce about their nail salons. I am all about great customer service, especially when it comes to looking good but why is it so hard to find a good nail salon?

Doesn't anyone else find it rude and insulting that most of the people in the salon speak a different language the WHOLE time while you are right in front of their face? They ignore you completely. Where else would someone go and pay to put up with that, and why do we?
Then there are the salons that just do your nails and try to cut corners. Usually with cheap glue and re-using the same tools on everyone. I personally have gotten mold on my finger from moisture getting under the nail. It wasn't a fungus, but it did stain my nail until it grew out.
Am I the only one who feels this way? I mean maybe I am not keeping an open mind and this comes along with the territory. I just don't understand why it can't be a pleasant experience. Does anyone have a good salon or stories to share?

Am I the only one who didn't know about Bob's website that sells gift certificates for half price? It's a website that you can get thru by going to www.bobradio.com and clicking on Discount Deals. They have good ones too. Like Atlanta Bread Company, $50 for $25, Cantones, $50 for $25. You have to be quick because they sell out fast, and it takes 7 days to get it, but who cares, that's a deal! They also have the gift certificates to places like Big Ugly Warehouse and Leaf of Eve, for 50% off. I just discovered it but I will be checking in every day because it looks like they add them all the time.

Hi, My name is Kate Miller. I am a Realtor in the Central Pa. area. I deal with a lot of people who are from out of town and have a LOT of questions. I thought this blog could be a forum for everyone who has a good experience, a complaint or something just plain strange that has happened to them somewhere around here. That way we all will know where to go and definitely where to avoid!
So if you have a place that is good, bad or just plain wierd bring it on!
