We might even snap each other! Love your shot of the Kingsbridge at night; has a 'real' atmosphere, hasn't it?
I'll check on the site you refer to, thanks.

These images might be ideal to be contributed to the Year in the Life of Canterbury project:

Take a look if you're not already signed up.
I'll be wandering around trying to capture the people and places this year too!

There is more to the city than just fine architecture.
I'm endeavouring to show through my photos that it is also teeming with human activity(or sometimes, the lack of it!) as well. It makes for an exciting atmosphere as well as offering the photographer a wonderful 'canvas' to paint pictures with.
More to follow in due course........................................

Scott Kelby Photowalk

Heart & Soul posted a new topic:

For any one who is interested there will be a scott kelby photowalk happening this Saturday 18th 11am at Canterbury.

For those of you who are unaware of what a Scot Kelby photo walk is. It's a world wide set of photo walks that happens on designated day each year and was devised by world renowned photographer Scot Kelby. There is a prize to be awarded for the best photo taken on the day and if you wish the chance to enter world wide competition as well.

This is a walk around the city of Canterbury and it's cathedral. The walk will start at 11:00am from Canterbury east station. Walking along Dane John mound and the city walls up to Christchurch gate and on into the cathedral. We then break for lunch. Afterwards we carry on to st augustine's abbey and the kings school. swinging past the kings gallery. to westgate tower. There will be a brief pub stop before the last leg of our journey. On the last leg we will go past the poor priest hospital greyfriars chapel gardens before heading back to start via st middreds church and weavers cottages.

Unfortunately the scot kelby section will only be up and till the cathedral and inside. As they have to be 2 hours. But please feel free to join in the whole walk. we will be getting a group ticket for the cathedral which will cost 6.50 each and they are happy for us to shoot there.

Please signup below, as well as look at the map of the route.

I'm member of the Londom Flickr Meetups Group

We are looking to do photo walk round Canterbury on july 18th. The route has yet to be finalized but will inevitably include the cathedral. If anyone has any suggestions for us on places that are worth visiting with in the town then please let us know. All of our walks involve a stop at a watering hole “no walk is complete with out a pub stop or two” so any suggestions on that front would be appreciated or if you would like to join us please feel free to reply.

I have yet to have numbers but most shoots very from 10-20 people and we are a very friendly bunch!

New group people!!!
