After a historic referendum, the British people decided to exit the EU with a vote of 52-48%. Here's how different politicians are reacting to the result--and who's suggesting the same for their own country.

Tusk called for calm in dealing with the situation, which he deemed“a historic moment but for sure not a moment for hysterical reactions.”

Merkel expressed "great regret" over the result, but warned Europe shouldn't draw "quick and simple conclusions" that could create further division. "Today represents a break in Europe’s history, a break in the process of European integration."

"I profoundly regret this decision for the United Kingdom and for Europe, but the choice is theirs and we have to respect it,” Hollande told reporters.
