Snelton and catcher Aramis Garcia also joined the 40-man contingent before Monday's 5 p.m. PT deadline to protect players from next month's Rule 5 Draft.



Hello spring: Schedules are out

The Giants are set to christen Cactus League play at home against the Brewers on Feb. 23. Key weekend home matchups include games against the Cubs (Feb. 25), Dodgers (March 4) and the Bay rival A's (March 17). San Francisco will host 16 games at Scottsdale Stadium, including five in the first week of action.
