LeBron James entered Thursday’s game 28 points from passing Michael Jordan in playoff scoring.James finished with 35 points, becoming the career playoff scoring leader, as Cleveland beat the Boston Celtics, 135-102, to win the series, 4-1.

N.B.A. All-Star Game Back in Charlotte in 2019

This year’s All-Star game was moved to New Orleans because of a North Carolina law restricting the rights of L.G.B.T. people.The game had been set for Charlotte last February, but the N.B.A. moved it because of a state law that limited anti-discrimination protections for L.G.B.T. people.
