RST's 'OurSchools Orange County' pages Updated

RST embarks on its 10th year this week at 5 Orange County schools in Santa Ana, CA. Rocket Science Tutors (RST) inspires middle and high school students to STEM careers by putting engineers and scientists in the classroom in an after school project based weekly learning program during the entire school year. RST is a non-profit 501c3 organization made up of an all volunteer corps of professional Engineers and Engineering Graduate Students from the University of California at Irvine.

RST now is offering Project Based STEM Lessons for sale. Our STEM Labs have been developed by RST's degreed engineers over the last 10 years. We're always improving and adding to our collection of currently over 50 projects. Our handouts menu has been replaced by our "Sample STEM Projects" menu on our web pages. Just hit our Contact Us link and select STEM Projects as your item of interest from the dropdown menu. Input your name, E-Mail address and a short memo and we will contact you on how to obtain STEM Projects. The link above will take you directly to our "Contact Us" web page form.

Two new handouts have been added to our handouts page (under the Handouts Menu). The first new handout is called "Summary of Forces in Motion" summarizing Newtons Laws of motion and the definitions of mass and acceleration to name a few. The second new handout is called "Simple Trigonometry Review" showing the basic applications of sine, cosine and tangent in calculating the sides and angles in a right triangle.

Model Gliders of Spaceship One, provided by Jeff Rutan (son of Burt Rutan), were put together and flown by the students under the supervision of RST's instructors.
