I have a new main page now, primarily because I wanted a better blogspot URL. "Blog Scene", with the clumsy and forgettable address of:

http://jeanne-bloglist.blogspot.com

has now been replaced by:

http://finegrind.blogspot.com

Ahhhh... so much easier to remember (for me too, lol)! Please stop by my new home page for a visit :)

I'm still here!! Having a bit of a blogging dry spell.

Here's a pic of my coffee blend this morning: the darker beans are Esquires Penguin Espresso, and the lighter beans are Zavida Hazelnut Vanilla. Yum :-)

5 Slush Stepping Tips

1) Leave the running shoes at home (this may seem obvious, but you would not believe how many people I've seen in the past few days trying to navigate the slushy snow in footwear other than boots.)

2) Consciously tighten your tummy muscles. This will support your back and protect it from any pulls or strains from any unexpected slips.

3) Plastic bags inside leaky boots will keep your feet dry. I thought this was cheesy until I tried it myself... ahhh! Dry feet.

4) Like I say to my kids: "Arms out like an airplane for balance!"

5) Stomping gives you better traction.

File this under "my husband thinks I'm neurotic" ...but hey it works!!! So there ;-)

Do you have a bunch of plug in chargers - cell phones, point & shoot cameras, etc. - that sit in a pile somewhere, and every time you need one of them you have to untangle them from each other?

(arrgh)

I now put each charger in its own baggie, and take each one out when we use it.

Presto, tangle problem solved!
