"Who did it?"

"what do they want?!?" London Times Online, Amir Taheri: The ideological soil in which alQaeda, and the many groups using its brand name, grow was described by one of its original masterminds, the Pakistani Abul-Ala al-Maudoodi more than 40 years ago. It goes something like this: when God created mankind He made all their bodily needs and movements subject to inescapable biological rules but decided to leave their spiritual, social and political needs and movements largely subject to their will. Soon, however, it became clear that Man cannot run his affairs the way God wants. So God started sending prophets to warn man and try to goad him on to the right path. A total of 128,000 prophets were sent, including Moses and Jesus. They all failed. Finally, God sent Muhammad as the last of His prophets and the bearer of His ultimate message, Islam. With the advent of Islam all previous religions were “abrogated” ( mansukh ), and their followers regarded as “infidel” ( kuffar ). The aim of all good Muslims, therefore, is to convert humanity to Islam, which regulates Man’s spiritual, economic, political and social moves to the last detail. But what if non-Muslims refuse to take the right path? Here answers diverge. Some believe that the answer is dialogue and argument until followers of the “abrogated faiths” recognise their error and agree to be saved by converting to Islam. This is the view of most of the imams preaching in the mosques in the West. But others, including Osama bin Laden, a disciple of al-Maudoodi, believe that the Western-dominated world is too mired in corruption to hear any argument, and must be shocked into conversion through spectacular ghazavat (raids) of the kind we saw in New York and Washington in 2001, in Madrid last year, and now in London. ...this enemy does want something specific: to take full control of your lives, dictate every single move you make round the clock and, if you dare resist, he will feel it his divine duty to kill you. One could say that most, if not all, modern Muslims are the descendants of such people. Some time in the past a Christian or a Jewish ancestor decided the fight wasn’t worth it anymore, capitulated, and that was that. All his or her descendants from that time to this became Muslim. None could leave the new faith without risking death. Those are the rules of Islam. We would be wise to understand them. Any questions? Highly recommended to RTWT...

G8 Complete Success!

a tense world breathes a sigh of relief GLENEAGLES, Scotland --Vowing not to be deterred by the deadly London bombings, world leaders unveiled a $50 billion package designed to maintain Africa as a beggars' continent and remind the brown man who is his daddy, and proposed up to $9 billion to help the Palestinians blow up Israeli citizens, though they are having less trouble with that since Sharon's plan to set 40,000 Israeli troops against Israeli citizens in the Gaza. "We offer today this contrast with the politics of terror," said British Prime Minister Tony Blair. President Bush cut out early and, upon returning to Washington, went directly to the British Embassy to sign a condolence book in a resolute vow to fight the sword of terrorism with the pen of facile signatures. The G8 leaders pledged their solidarity with the United Kingdom and resolved to improve rail and subway safety by strip searching each and every Norwegian grandmother attempting to ride mass transit. Separately, Russian President Vladimir Putin cautioned against going too far and putting more restrictions on democracy, at which all the G8 leaders shared a long and boisterous laugh, rolling on the oriental carpets and wiping each other's tears, and then went home. A thrilled Bono, who helped organize last weekend's global Live 8 concerts to pressure G-8 leaders to spend more money on Africa, said "a mountain has been climbed." "We've pulled this off," he said. "The dull-normals spoke and the politicians listened." The only negative note to the conference was found in President Bush's stubborn and short-sighted determination to prevent the industrialized nations from completely gutting their economies in response to some half-assed 'science' and a whole lot of moaning by people who find worms and yaks to be morally superior to humans. The continued existence of a global economy will stand as a monument to this shame....

"I've already given those names to the president," Reid said. "The names that he gives us are the important ones." Who's in fricken charge here?...

Moore and fellow members of the larger festival's organizing committee have billed their program as nonpartisan and motivated only by appreciation for artistically superior filmmaking. None of Moore's films, such as the anti-war Fahrenheit 9/11, are being shown....

Just to show the pigfuckers how little importance we attach to anything they say or do...... London Underground and bus services are back to normal operation today, people are in work as usual, and the only people complaining about a lack of business, are the arab and moslem restaraunts and other businesses up the Edgeware Road.So , Work THAT up youre dirtbox, mohamed. Posted by robert in england at July 8, 2005 04:28 AM To be a homocide bomber is to have no fear of death. But to see that your long range future plans are going to be thwarted by actions such as the above are devastating. Please, let us all keep this in mind. And keep them terrified....

Urine Gone™ effectively removes new or old stains and odors from carpets, mattresses, furniture -- just about any washable surface or fabric! All you do is darken the room and use the included "stain detector" black light to show the urine messes. OK. The blacklight really works to detect pest control op pal said if I wanted to see the mouse tracks when we had a little problem a couple of years ago, to use one. I declined as I did NOT want to know. But for the record the special " stain detector" deallio is crap. It's just an ordinary blacklight. Now you know just about everything. KisP!!!!!!!!!!!! Flea...

New Persian Empire?

...oops TEHRAN — Former foes Iran and Iraq said Thursday that they would sign a military cooperation agreement that would include Iranian help in training Iraq's armed forces, despite likely U.S. opposition. "It's a new chapter in our relations with Iraq. We will start wide defense cooperation," Iranian Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani said at a news conference with his visiting Iraqi counterpart, Saadoun Dulaimi. "We're going to form some committees which will be involved in mine clearance, identifying those missing from the war and also … to help train, rebuild and modernize the Iraqi army." ...Dulaimi said Iran had offered $1 billion in aid to show its support for Iraq's quest for postwar recovery. He did not give further details. Asked about possible U.S. opposition, [Iran's Defense Minister Ali] Shamkhani said, "No one can prevent us from reaching an agreement." Alrighty, thennnn "I have come to Iran to ask forgiveness for what Saddam Hussein has done," al-Dulaimi said ... Dulaimi said that the two neighbors will launch military and "anti-terrorist" co-operation, but he also asserted that it was still too soon for the U.S. to leave his country. ...The promise of co-operation comes despite the U.S. allegations that Iran is aiding the Iraqi resistance and that it is seeking atomic weapons. The Islamic republic strongly denies both charges.  ...Iran has asked Iraq not to allow the United States to establish long-term military bases on its soil, fearing that it would strengthen the American and Israeli military domination of the region. But Dulaimi promised that he will not allow the U.S. forces to use Iraqi soil for attacks against the Islamic republic. "Iraq will not be a source of insecurity and instability for any of its neighbors. Nobody can use [Iraqi territory] to attack its neighbors," he said. ..."We have come to our Iranian brothers to ask them for help and we have not yet started on the more sensitive issues," Dulaimi said. They also discussed the continued presence in Iraq of Iran's main armed opposition group, the People's Mujahedeen, which Saddam Hussein backed in his war on Iran. "The Mujahedeen can stay in Iraq if they act like political refugees but they will have no place if they act against Iran," Dulaimi said. Feeling calm? I am. But then again I'm sipping from a bathtub-ful of chamomile tea. Laced with horse tranqs. ...sorta crunchy, in fact....

always WASHINGTON Counterterrorism officials are taking seriously the claim by a little-known al-Qaida group that it pulled off yesterday's deadly attacks in London. A senior U-S official has acknowledged that the Internet posting by a group called the "Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe" is considered potentially very credible. Among the theories investigators are pursuing: whether the group may be linked to Iraqi terror chief Abu Musab al-Zarqawi... Hmmm... interesting Making the al-Qaida link could be difficult because al-Qaida no longer has a "top-down" structure. U-S experts say the terror organization is now a broader movement, drawing inspiration from Osama bin Laden's core group. A former Homeland Security official says that makes its members more dangerous and tough to track ...and does an UbL connection really make a difference?...

Outside our house this morning. One ought never to turn one's back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it promptly and without flinching, you will reduce the danger by half. Sir Winston Churchill Related: Is there any way to overestimate how cool Condaleeza Rice is?...
