Megan Fox Biography - Sexy Famous Celebrities

Thu, 25 Sep 2008 12:50:00 +0000

Megan Fox is Born in Tennessee on May 16, 1986, Megan Denise Fox started taking drama and dance lessons at the age of five and thrived from the very beginning. Despite a move to Florida when she was 10, Megan's parents did not let their youngest daughter forego her talent, and so the future actress continued her training.
By age 13, her dancing had led to modeling opportunities and Fox excelled in this new arena. In 1999, she won several awards at the American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head, South Carolina. With this new credit, Fox began venturing into acting, and after she moved to Los Angeles, a future career in showbiz looked probable.

Fox made her acting debut in 2001, appearing in the straight-to-video release Holiday in the Sun, a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen film. She then garnered a recurring role in the low-key soap opera Ocean Ave. and appeared in an episode of the Amanda Bynes series What I Like About You.

2004 was the year Fox joined the legion of female teens overtaking Hollywood, as she appeared alongside Lindsay Lohan in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, did the TV movie Crimes of Fashion and secured a spot on the Kelly Ripa-led sitcom Hope & Faith. Look for Fox in more preeminent roles in the near future, as she continues to improve while learning the acting craft on the job.

Thu, 25 Sep 2008 12:21:00 +0000

Niki Taylor was Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Miami on March 5, 1975, Niki Taylor was always extremely close to sisters Joelle and Krissy, and parents Ken and Barbera.

An aspiring marine biologist, Niki's career plans took a different route after her mother sent photos of the then 13-year old beauty to a Florida modeling agency. An agency signed her, and it didn't take long for Niki's beautiful face to appear on the pages of French catalogues and magazines such as Seventeen, when she was thirteen years old.

The hazel-eyed, statuesque beauty broke several records in her freshman days as a model. Niki became the youngest model ever to sign a multi-million dollar contract, when she became a L'Oreal spokesperson and Cover Girl's newest face at age 17. Niki also holds the title of the youngest person to appear on the cover of the high fashion magazine Vogue.

By the time Niki was 16 years of age, she had made her first million. She has appeared in over 160 magazines, including: Allure, Cosmopolitan, the American, Thai and Italian editions of Elle, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, Mademoiselle, the Australian, Italian, British, and American editions of Marie Claire, Sassy, Shape, not to mention Yahoo Internet Life.

Niki has modeled for companies such as Gap, Lee Riveted, Liz Claiborne, Nokia, Zum Zum, and the ever-so-popular Victoria's Secret, whose advertising campaign helped solidify the modeling careers of fellow models Stephanie Seymour, Helena Christensen, Tyra Banks, and Laetitia Casta.

When not appearing in ads and on magazine covers, Niki strutted her stuff on the catwalks of such fashion houses as Chanel, Chloe, Givenchy, and Calvin Klein.

Like most other models, such as Elle MacPherson and Sofia Vergara, Niki Taylor released her own calendar, giving men worldwide the pleasure of seeing her every day of the year. Niki can also be seen in the 1997 and 1998 issues of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition.

Modeling is not Niki's only day job. She is also the head and founder of her own company, Niki Inc., and the mother of twin sons Jake and Hunter. Niki was married to football player Matt Martinez, the father of her sons.

As for her other family members, Niki's younger sister Krissy, who was also on her way to becoming a model, passed away in 1995, dying of asthma complications.

Named one of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in the World, Niki spends her free time jet skiing, scuba diving, swimming, exercising, kick-boxing, and practicing yoga.

She also enjoys cooking and would prefer a home-cooked meal to a fancy restaurant any day. A traditional homebody, Niki would trade in her designer clothes for a comfortable pair of jeans any day.

Coming close to James King and Carré Otis in the race for who has the most tattoos, Niki has a tattoo of a sun on her foot, a dolphin on her ankle, as well as two other tattoos on her behind.

Niki may not be in the spotlight as much these days, but this entrepreneurial beauty will always be considered one of the great supermodels of the 90's.

Paris Hilton Biography - Sexy Famous Celebrities

Tue, 23 Sep 2008 10:59:00 +0000

Paris Hilton was born on February 17th, 1981, to Rick and Kathy Hilton, making her the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, founder of the Hilton hotels and source of the family fortune -- estimated at $300 million. Her grandfather, Conrad "Nicky" Hilton, Jr., also brought some notoriety to the family, as he was the first of Elizabeth Taylor's many ex-husbands. Paris' younger sister, Nicky (born in 1983), shares the throne as co-heiress of the Hilton empire. paris the model Growing up in Manhattan's ritzy Waldorf-Astoria, the family's New York home, as well as other Hilton digs in Beverly Hills and the Hamptons, Paris didn't seem to yearn for much. Even after graduating from high school, college didn't appeal to her. So, around the year 2000, Paris decided to branch out and become famous. She began to make a name for herself as a model, soon appearing in shows for designers such as Marc Bouwer and Catherine Malandrino, and she later completed an ad campaign for Iceberg, an Italian label. In addition, Paris has posed for spreads in national magazines such as GQ, Vanity Fair and FHM, and has also been profiled, along with her sister, in People magazine. paris in the tabloids At the same time, Paris became the center of attention because of her relationships -- real or imagined by the paparazzi -- with some of Hollywood's hottest young stars. In early 2000, Paris was spotted around town with Leonardo DiCaprio. However, the press, especially the National Enquirer, blew their casual friendship far out of proportion. Nevertheless, she apparently dated Terminator 2's Edward Furlong for a few months, and was later seen out and about with boxer Oscar de la Hoya. Paris has also been linked with actor and Tommy Hilfiger model, Jason Shaw, Sum 41 lead singer Derek Whibley, and Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys. Paris, along with her younger sister Nicky, also became notorious as socialites, gracing party after party and getting bad press for their antics. For example, Paris has grabbed headlines by shoving ahead of others in a washroom line, then, when upbraided for her rudeness, quipped that she only wanted to look at herself in the mirror. She has also danced on top of bar banquettes, gone topless for attention, and paraded around in designer T-shirts with slogans like, "Got Blow?" Yet Paris maintains that the bad press "sucks" and that "people are mean." paris stars in the simple life Perhaps in an effort to clean up her image, Paris has tried to make her mark by working on more substantial projects. In 2001, she had a cameo appearance in Ben Stiller's fashion spoof, Zoolander. Angelina Jolie Biography - Sexy Famous Celebrities

Tue, 23 Sep 2008 09:18:00 +0000

Angelina Jolie Was Born June 4, 1975, Angelina Jolie Voight, daughter of Oscar winning actor Jon Voight and actress Marcheline Bertrand, used her middle name as her last name (the French translation of beautiful), probably in order to succeed, independent of her father's success as an actor. At age 11, Jolie began studying acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, six years after making her film debut in Lookin' to Get Out, starring her father.

Although her dream as a child was actually to become a funeral director, 16-year-old Jolie worked as a professional model in London, New York and Los Angeles. Musical groups and singers such as the Rolling Stones, Lemonheads, Meatloaf, and Lenny Kravitz would cast her in their music videos, and even brother James Haven Voight directed Jolie in his student films for the USC School of Cinema.

Wanting to get even closer to pursuing an acting career, Jolie studied at the Met Theatre group in L.A., whose alumni include Ed Harris and Holly Hunter.

angelina jolie gets her break

Jolie's first foray into film was of a sci-fi nature, with a supporting role in 1993's Cyborg 2, which didn't even make it to the big screen, and a lead role in Hackers (1995), where she met future husband and British actor Jonny Lee Miller of Trainspotting fame. It should be noted that Jolie's performance was the only redeeming factor of the movie. Jolie and Miller's morbid wedding reception in 1995, where Jolie wore black and had Jonny's name written across the back of her shirt in blood, could have foreshadowed that their marriage would not last too long -- they were separated within the year and filed for divorce in 1999.

Her career as an actress, however, was flying high. She received critical acclaim in Without Evidence (1995), where she portrayed a drug-addicted teen; Foxfire, a 1996 Joyce Carol Oates adaptation, for her portrayal of a rebellious teen known as "Legs"; as well as in 1996's Love Is All There Is, for her role as an Italian girl in love with the son of her family's rival.

In 1997, she joined the ranks of other known cast members with a supporting role in the box-office bomb Playing God, starring David Duchovny and Timothy Hutton.

The past few years have seen her celebrity stock rise greatly thanks in large part to hosting E!'s popular 'Wild On' series, but more so her decision to bare all in a fully nude Playboy spread. Brooke was the youngest of four daughters and older than her three brothers. While little is known about Brooke's parents, it appears likely that they divorced as her biological father left the family when Brooke was just two years old. Brooke's aspirations weren't a career in modeling, but when she accompanied a friend to a modeling agency in Scottsdale, Arizona, she was discovered by a talent scout who happened to be there. She branched into commercials as well appearing in Bally's Total Fitness commercials where she played the ''beautiful body''. Rebecca Romijn Biography

Thu, 18 Sep 2008 05:35:00 +0000

Rebecca Romijn (pronounced "romaine"), was born on the 6th of November 1972, in Berkeley, California.

Once a college student who was born to hippie parents, Rebecca's fashion sense did not go further than her Birkenstock sandals. Now, the only Birks she's wearing are on her fingers, earlobes and neckline.

In 1995, Rebecca attended UC Santa Cruz and majored in music. A struggling student, Rebecca decided to sign up with a San Francisco modeling agency to help pay the bills. In a mere two months and almost instantaneously, Rebecca made the move from college student to glamorous runway model.

As if Rebecca needed even more reassurance for her stunning appearance, she was featured in People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" for 1997, who claimed that her addition to the 50 Most Beautiful was not because of her looks, but for her sense of humor about her body and her profession.

Rebecca was also featured in the 1996 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, and has practically become a staple in the magazine's issue. In 1999, she graced the cover of the magazine with a painted-on swimsuit.

As for her acting career, Rebecca has appeared in popular sitcoms such as Friends and Just Shoot Me. She has also become the host of MTV's House of Style, and sometimes shares co-hosting duties with model James King. Rebecca was no stranger to being the host of a television show; she was a temporary host for NBC's late-night show, Later.

Rebecca had a cameo appearance in 1999's Austin Powers sequel, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me

Rebecca's most famous movie role so far was as the shape-shifting Mystique in X-Men (2000), based on the long-running comic book series about teenage mutant superheroes (that Jack Kirby and Stan Lee created in 1962). To play Mystique, every day Rebecca had to start out nude, and then two female makeup artists would apply blue body paint and other stick-on parts for 8 hours a day. Rebecca told Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (1992) that things like tissue paper would stick to her hips; and one day the long hours of wearing sticky paint makeup made her so upset that director 'Bryan Singer (I)' told her to have a glass of white wine and relax. Notwithstanding those technical difficulties, "X-Men" was a box-office bonanza, and Rebecca's future in films was assured.

Reese Witherspoon Biography

Thu, 18 Sep 2008 05:35:00 +0000

Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon, born on March 22, 1976, was raised in Nashville, Tennessee. Considering that both her parents held occupations in the medical field, Reese grew up expecting to become a doctor, although she always knew in her heart that she wanted to be an actress.

While growing up in Nashville, a hot spot especially known for its country music talent, Reese was exposed to the entertainment industry at a very early age. Her career in the spotlight began at 7 years of age when she was introduced to the world of modeling. This exposure eventually enabled her to break onto the small screen by appearing in several television commercials.

Following high school graduation in 1994 from Harpeth Hall, a Nashville all girls school, Reese decided to put her acting career on hold and attend Stanford University where she would major in English literature. However, her collegiate plans were shortly dashed when she accepted roles to star in two major motion pictures: Fear (1996) alongside Mark Wahlberg and Freeway (1996) with Kiefer Sutherland. Although neither film was a huge box-office success, they did help to establish Reese as a rising starlet in Hollywood and open the door for bigger and better film roles. Those bigger roles came in movies such as Pleasantville (1998), Election (1999) and Cruel Intentions (1999).

Her breakthrough role came as Elle Woods in the 2001 comedy Legally Blonde (2001). The movie was huge box-office smash and established Reese as one of the top female draws in Hollywood. The next year, she scored a follow-up hit with Sweet Home Alabama (2002) which went on to gross over $100 million dollars at the box office. In 2006, she took home the best actress Oscar for her role as June Carter Cash in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line (2005).

Renee Zellweger Biography

Thu, 18 Sep 2008 05:35:00 +0000

Renee Kathleen Zellweger was born on April 25, 1969, in Katy, Texas, a small town outside Houston. The daughter of European parents (her father is Swiss and her mother Norwegian), Renee had an older brother that she greatly admired. As she approached fame, Renee was encouraged to change her name to one that would be more marketable. She refused to do so, as her and her brother were the first Zellwegers born in the United States.

After graduating from Katy High School in 1987, where she was a cheerleader, gymnast and member of the drama club, Renee went off to the University of Texas at Austin, where she majored in English. An excellent student (she made the dean's list several times), Renee took a drama class only because she needed a fine arts credit to complete her degree. Prompting her to recall how much she loved acting, Renee's participation turned out to be much more than just a requirement.

Her uncredited role in 1993's Dazed and Confused was Renee's first film role, and was followed up by a role alongside Matthew McConaughey in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (its release was delayed until 1997). It was on the set of "Chainsaw" that Renee heard about another project that was in the midst of casting. Renee auditioned for it and got the lead; the film was Love and a .45, and it earned Renee an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance. Another ISA nomination (and subsequent award) followed for Renee's work in The Whole Wide World (1996), a film which caught the eye of director Cameron Crowe and prompted him to cast Renee in Jerry Maguire.

Renee's role opposite Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire was no smalltime gig. She had beat out the likes of Bridget Fonda, Cameron Diaz and Mira Sorvino to land the job, and it instantly earned her recognition and accolades. She was awarded with a Screen Actors Guild nomination for Best Supporting Actress, the NBR Award for Best Breakthrough Female Performer, an MTV Movie Award nomination for Best Breakthrough Performance, and the title of Entertainment Weekly's Best New Movie Actress.

Rihanna Biography

Thu, 18 Sep 2008 05:35:00 +0000

Rihanna was born on February 20, 1988, in a county in Barbados called St. Michael. She lived the life of a normal island girl going to Combermere, a top sixth form school, similar to grammar schools in the UK. Since the turn of the century, every American summer has seemed to produce one or two Caribbean-styled dance-pop hit sensations, and the summer of 2005 was no different, as the relentless dancehall-lite booming rhythms of Rihanna's "Pon de Replay" seemed as omnipresent as sunshine. Like Daddy Yankee("Gasolina") and Sean Paul("Get Busy") in summers prior, Rihanna emerged initially as an unknown superstar, known far more for her song than for herself. Unlike Daddy Yankeeand Sean Paul however, she is a woman -- a young and beautiful green-eyed one, to be more specific. Born Robyn Rihanna Fenty in the St. Michael parish of Barbados a brief 17 years before she reached the Top Two of Billboard's Hot 100 chart (held back from the number one spot by the undisputed song of the summer, Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together"), Rihanna always exhibited a special quality, winning beauty and talent contests as a schoolchild. But because she lived on the fairly remote island of Barbados in the West Indies, she never foresaw the sort of stardom that would later befall her.

That stardom came courtesy of a fateful meeting with a man named Evan Rogers. The New Yorker was vacationing in Barbados with his wife, a native of the island, when someone turned him on to Rihanna. Since Rogers had spent years producing pop artists -- including superstars like *NSYNC, Christina Aguilera Jessica Simpson Kelly Clarkson, Laura Pausini and Rod Stewart -- he offered her the opportunity to record some music after he recognized her talent and potential. Along with Rogers' production partner, Carl Sturken (the other half of Syndicated Rhythm Productions), Rihanna recorded some demos that sparked the interest of the Carter Administration -- that is, Def Jam president Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter. This led to an audition and, in turn, an on-the-spot offer to sign with Def Jam, which Rihanna indeed inked on the spot.

Come summer 2005, Def Jam rolled out "Pon de Replay," the lead single of Music of the Sun, which was produced almost entirely by Rogers and Sturken and which synthesized Caribbean rhythms and beats with urban-pop songwriting. "Pon de Replay" caught fire almost immediately, challenging "We Belong Together"'s half-summer reign atop the Billboard chart before Music of the Sun even saw release. Her sophomore release, A Girl Like Me, appeared in 2006. All Music Guide

Rosario Dawson Biography

Thu, 11 Sep 2008 11:07:00 +0000

Rosario Dawson was born May 9, 1979, in New York City. She was raised in a Manhattan tenement building by her Bronx-born mother, a professional vocalist, and her father, who worked in construction. Although Rosario's parents separated when she was still young, they continued to live in the same building, allowing Rosario and her brother to remain close to them. Dawson attended an alternative school in downtown Manhattan, where she harbored aspirations of one day becoming a marine biologist. When she reached age 15, however, Dawson's career plans unexpectedly changed. She was literally cast off the street for the role of Ruby in the 1995 indie production Kids, after director Larry Clark spotted her on the stoop of her apartment building. Kids went on to become a controversial hit, and Dawson opted out of her college plans, choosing instead to attend the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. The training Dawson received at the Strasberg Institute complemented the publicity that Kids had earned her, and it wasn't long before she received her second casting call, this time from Spike Lee for his 1998 film, He Got Game. That same year she appeared in Side Streets, which features a series of vignettes depicting life throughout New York City. Over the course of the next few years, Dawson appeared in three more small-time films: as an honor student held hostage in Light It Up, a pothead in Down to You and a bully in King of the Jungle. Although none of these projects were box-office hits, they provided Dawson with the exposure crucial to a young actress, and the jobs kept coming. Her next role was as bassist Valerie Brown in 2001's feature film, Josie and the Pussycats. Despite the slew of publicity Josie and the Pussycats enjoyed preceding its release, the movie was a disappointment both critically and popularly. Nonetheless, the mass marketing of the film translated well for Dawson, who soon found herself on the "hot new faces" lists of entertainment publications throughout the country.
