One fascinating narrative that can be spun out of the long transit of Pluto in earth sign Capricorn, is digging into the ancient human past. Excavating heritage, reviving indigenous culture and lost civilizations...and unearthing the truth about how our distant ancestors really lived.

Tue, 13 May 2014 08:43:47 +00002014-05-13T08:43:47Z

Melody Scott Zindell calls it the most powerful full Moon of the year. She writes, "Scorpio is the archetype of reigniting passion that comes from feeling as deeply as we dare...sitting with the discomforts of emotions we normally push aside with distractions and addictions. The strength of this passion is what fuels real soul alchemy and transformation. This journey takes courage!"

Alice Walker Talks of "Miasma of Evil," and Speaking to Mother Earth

Sun, 11 May 2014 10:20:53 +00002014-05-11T10:20:53Z

I found this treasure of an interview with Alice Walker on a quickening and collapse that's happening and the choice -- "How do we want to go down? I would prefer to go down with people who love me and that I love. And with the Earth and affirming to her that 'Yes, I have done everything I could do.' ...Speaking to the Mother, to Mother Earth. And sometimes I feel that that is possibly the highest aim in these times because we are in such dire straits."

Happy Mother's Day of Peace

Sat, 10 May 2014 09:45:09 +00002014-05-10T09:45:09Z

(image)

Sunday (May 11th) is Mother's Day, and that got me thinking about one woman's courage, after witnessing the tragic echoing of war through time.

The seeds for a Mother's Day in the U.S. were planted by Julia Ward Howe, an extra-ordinary woman (born 1819) who educated herself and went traveling sans husband, both shocking in her day. After the Civil War, having seen how war's effects continue on and ripple out to family, she put forth a call to women, to rise up.

Jupiter Cancer: Obliderating "Unnatural Dams"

Fri, 09 May 2014 09:28:26 +00002014-05-09T09:28:26Z

(image)

I came across a constellation of articles on the same theme -- returning to what's natural, "the flow." Astro-wise, I'm noting Jupiter in tidal water sign Cancer, and catching the drift of what's indigenous to you or me. And that becomes a way to find balance and faith. Very often this begins with expunging programs, shoulds and oughtas.

Nikola Tesla, a Venusian with Jupiter in Aries

Mon, 05 May 2014 10:49:35 +00002014-05-05T10:49:35Z

(image)

"If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration." Nikola Tesla

That quote has always fascinated me. And a new generation of freethinkers are finding Nikola Tesla and pondering his contribution to humanity. As early as 1894, he imagined wireless technology. His protegee claimed he was born on Venus, and created the Teslascope to contact extraterrestrials.

Image of the Week: Dandelion

Wed, 30 Apr 2014 13:44:37 +00002014-04-30T13:44:37Z

(image)

I just love surprises that are freeing, like when something comes to a natural end. And that's what's happening with this blog, as the site undergoes a metamorphosis starting sometime this month (May 2014). The format will be revitalized, and part of that is the blog piece of the site being phased out. It feels very much like an April shocker, a shattering of the routine, and a beginning of something new.
