How do you feel about Aidan's involvement in Annie's scheme?
1) It's about time that man stood up for himself! Proud of him!
2) I think he has lost his mind! He's gone too far!
3) The writers are killing his character! I'm just disgusted.
4) I'm in denial. I still don't think it is what it seems completely.

Longtime viewers of All My Children may remember that the show made the bold step of incorporating the war in Vietnam into dramatic storylines. In fact, it was a memorable anti-war speech that earned Mary Fickett (Ruth Martin) an Emmy award in 1973.
All My Children is revisiting familiar territory with a current storyline that focuses on the plight of America's troops returning home from the war in Iraq. Last week, Cpl. JR Martinez made his television debut in the role of Brot Monroe. The injuries of the character, Brot, were patterned after the actual injuries Cpl. Martinez sustained during his time in Iraq. After 34 months in recovery, including 32 surgeries, Cpl. Martinez became the National Spokesperson for the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes in 2004.
Brot Monroe is the fiancee of Taylor Thompson, portrayed by Beth Ehlers. Due to the extent of his injuries, and his inability to accept the outcome, Brot opted to allow Taylor to believe he had perished as a result of a landmine blast. While Taylor agonizes over the loss of her true love, she sets her own mind on a return to Iraq on a suicide mission. Now that Taylor has suffered a fall leading to partial paralysis, Brot is conflicted over his need to protect Taylor (and himself) from what he sees as the horror of his new reality, and his desire to comfort the woman he loves through her own physical challenges.
On this Veteran's Day, we salute Cpl. Martinez for his continued efforts to bring attention to the plight of our severely wounded troops. With the utmost respect, we welcome Cpl. Martinez to the All My Children family.

After an impressive seven week run on the ABC primetime hit, Dancing With the Stars, Susan Lucci has been eliminated from the competition. Along with professional dance partner, Tony Dovolani, Susan has spent the last two weeks in the bottom two. Due to this, her unfortunate elimination was not a tremendous shock, but this is of little consolation to die-hard Lucci fans.
This week's dancing assignment found Susan and Tony dancing the Paso Doble, which met with resounding praise from all three judges. However, the couple's score of 24 out of a possible 30 still remained the lowest score of the week among the remaining six contestants. Gracious, dignified and full of the class that La Lucci is widely known for, she thanked her fans, the judges and her dance partner for the "incredible" experience she had on the show.

Finally, an update on two issues that have been of great concern to All My Children fans...
For starters, I've received numerous inquiries regarding a potential tribute to Eileen Herlie. Ms. Herlie passed away on October 8, at the age of 90. She was still an active member of the All My Children cast after more than three decades, so it is only appropriate that she receive the send-off worthy of her longevity and popularity. ABC has announced that the December 19 episode will be a dedication to Ms. Herlie and her character, Myrtle Fargate. For a look back on Myrtle's life in Pine Valley, join Ms. Herlie's co-stars in saying good-bye.
Another issue that has had fans up in arms lately is the status of contract negotiations between ABC and Michael E. Knight, who portrays the beloved Tad Martin. Word just hit that Knight has signed a new contract, so rest assured, we will not be losing Tad anytime soon!

Sydney Penny originally joined the cast of All My Children in 1993 as Julia Santos, and quickly became a fan favorite. Propelled to the front burner by consistently strong storylines, the character of Julia was a prominent fixture in Pine Valley for three years before leaving town under the Witness Protection Program. Sydney's return in 2005 met with resounding praise and the hopes of dynamic developments as Julia desperately tried to return to a normal life after the death of her husband, Noah Keefer. To the disappointment of many, Julia was shot and killed in May of this year at the wedding of Jesse and Angie Hubbard.
All My Children fans will always associate Sydney with her memorable character, Julia, but this is only one of many noteworthy accomplishments in a career that started when the talented actress was only a child. Recently, Sydney took the time to answer questions and discuss her family, interests, career and of course, her experiences on All My Children. Don't miss this exclusive audio interview with Sydney! For more information on Sydney, please visit her official homepage.

Legions of Eden Riegel fans were quick to pick up on Imaginary Bitches, and word spread like a wildfire from there. The wildly popular Web series stars Eden, alongside an illustrious cast of daytime veterans including: Brooke Nevin, Elizabeth Hendrickson, Connie Fletcher Staton, Jessalyn Gilsig, Greg Rikaart, Sam Page, Michael Traynor and Chandra West. The show was created by Eden's husband, Andrew Miller, who also holds credits in directing, producing and writing for the series.
For those who have yet to discover this Internet sensation, here's the general presmise of the show: Eden stars as the "single friend" among a group of gal pals who are in serious relationships. Taking a tongue-in-cheek look at the lonely, borderline-Schizophrenic life of the single girl, Imaginary Bitches examines the imaginary friends that Eden concocts to help her handle her single status. Unfortunately, these friends tend to do more harm than good. As the title implies, Eden's "creations" aren't necessarily kind, and often throw the young damsel into situations that cause hilarious dilemmas and misunderstandings as she tries to find her place in life.
Own your copy of Imaginary Bitches, season one, on DVD today! It is available to purchase for $19.95 from the official Imaginary Bitches website. Special features are available on the widescreen edition! For more on Eden and Imaginary Bitches, don't miss my exclusive 20 Questions interview with Eden Riegel!
