Sheehan and Harland are both fantastic if your looking for an historians approach (as free from theology as possible) to the sources of christianity, I think.
After completing Sheehan's series some time ago, and Harland's series on Paul just recently - I've now started with Harland on the Gospels.

If I may suggest a listening order to those interested:
it's probably better to start with Harland, since his account is specificly focused on the sources we do have (Paul's letters & the gospels) -giving insights in the communities that produced them - whereas Sheehan is trying to reach "through" them as it were, further into history to reach an historical jesus, for whose biography we have no contemporary sources.

The qualities AND dangers of Sheehan's approach can be better understood after having digested Harland's.

imho of course.
