Been busy getting everything organized... and here's a teaser of what's more to come in the following weeks.. :)

(image) for a week..

I guess everyone's been wondering where the heck i've been.. Well.. i've been busy with rugby, photography and work.. Yea...been running around so much that I don't even have the time to update my blog and finalize my images..

I've finally received my new camera! The Hasselblad H3DII. A 39mp medium format monster!!! I'll be using this camera for my landscape work.. I've tested it outdoors on different occasions, and what can I say!!... the color reproduction and dynamic range of this camera just blows me away!

Here are some images of the camera, and will be posting some images taken from this camera within the next couple of days.. :)

Back from the States...

Hey Everyone! Been busy lately... Got back on the 14th of July and have been training since for an upcoming rugby tournament. The trip to states was superb and here are some of the images from the trip..The images posted for now are from Wyoming and Glacier National Park.. More to come! :) Enjoy!

US Road Trip

Hey everyone, sorry for being quiet for so long.. i've finally got a decent connection to surf the net. Im still in America, and it's almost to the end of the road trip with my family.. I'm currently in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. The journey started from Los Angeles where we flew to Salt Lake City, Utah. From Salt Lake City we drove to Jackson's Hole located at the Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, Montana. It was a 8 hour drive from Salt Lake City. Stayed there for a night and headed off to West Yellowstone where it was another 3hour drive from Jackson's Hole. We stayed at West Yellowstone for 2 nights, the park was huge, and visited the Old Faithful Geyser that has been erupting hot water since 1870. After the 2 nights it was another long drive heading to Great Falls City, Montana. Staying a night, we headed off to Glacier National Park. We spent 2 nights at the park. The place was spectacular...  It was just scenic from every angle. Heading out from Glacier National Park, we started a 7-8hour drive to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho (where im currently blogging now). We'll be staying here for 2 nights then heading to the final destination of the road trip that is Seattle, Washington. It'll be a 2 night stay a flight to Los Angeles then back to Malaysia...

So far the trip has been wonderful.. all the scenic views, the LONG DRIVES...and not forgetting the awesome food! I've been doing heaps of photography.. There's so much images for me to start processing..When im done i'll start uploading them.. Maybe in about a week>? haha..Hopefully..

Busy Busy Busy...

Been really busy lately with work and training.. I finally managed to complete some Landscape Images of Danum. Here are a few of the images.. I'll be away for the next 2 weeks to the States... going on a family road trip.. Camera gears all packed up!!!

Danum Trip

Images from my latest trip to Danum, Lahad Datu. The weather wasn't what I expected it to be... when I left Sandakan, the sun was scorching hot, by the time I reached Danum it poured!! It just made things difficult .. But on the 2nd day it cleared up... And I managed to get some shots. Wouldn't say they were perfect but it's better than nothing.. Well... this is Photography!! It's all about going back to that same spot over and over again till you get the perfect shot![...]

Sukau Trip

Here's some images from my recent trip to SukauI'll be away for the next 3 days. Will be heading down to Danum Valley in search of the Red Leaf Monkey, Gibbon and Tarsier!! WISH ME LUCK!!![...]

Scanning Problems..

I've been back since the 1st of Jun. Been trying to get everything organized, especially my new editing studio. Finally got everything up and running yesterday. I've been trying to get my XPAN slides scanned but my scanner is just not working the way I want it to...the scanned images produced looks crap!!... I'm trying to get this fixed...till then I guess the XPAN pics will have to wait..

I'll be uploading some images of my recent trip to Sukau, Sandakan. It was a productive trip. Managed to capture some rare and beautiful birds of Borneo.

Will be uploading ASAP!! :)

Leaving on a Jetplane...

Im all packed and ready to go. Leaving to the airport in the next hour... A part of me is missing Melbourne already.... This time tomorrow i'll be back home.. I think i've gone overboard with the baggage weight.. :) We'll find out later! haha ..
I'll start getting the XPAN pics up when im back. Till then... See-ya!

Sarah & Kevin

I don't usually do people shots apart from the casual shots with friends, simple because my speciality is in NATURE & WILDLIFE :) I never really had the talent capturing moments of people.. I'd always leave it to the PRO's ... Like my dad always emphasizes " STICK TO WHAT YOU'RE GOOD AT!".

But she being my younger sister and wanted some images to work with for her upcoming Wedding..i said...I'll GIVE IT A SHOT!!!

Sarah and Kevin are getting married on the 11th of July 2009. They'll be having their wedding at the New Hyde Park Baptist Church, New York. She'll be the first one in the family to get married. I believe God has special things planned for them, and that their marriage will be a blast!! All my best wishes and prayers to you two..

Here are some images taken yesterday, down at the ANZAC MEMORIAL PARK in Melbourne

Crappy Melbourne Weather

The weather down here is just killing me... it's gloomy, cold, dull.... Not good for photos at all. Was planning to do a re-shoot on beach huts down at Brighton Beach sometime this week, but the forecast is predicting bad weather throughout the week..  Well, i'll be flying home to Borneo this weekend for a long holiday. Can't wait to get home... The shooting....the training with the rugby team...the serene and quiet lifestyle....yea... life's just so prefect and easy back home..

Will be working on producing more images on Borneo while im back there. Images of the Wild Borneo never seen before!! Wish me luck!

Will keep you posted!!

Sent slides for processing..

Hoping for some great XPAN Panaromic shots. Just sent them out for processing, managed to get a few good shots on the trip to Phillip Island, but well, it's wont know till you get them slides back...
crossing my fingers for the best...

will post the images up as soon as I get them finalized .. :)

Just before leaving ..

Just before leaving Phillip Island, I decided to wait for the sunrise down at the Newhaven jetty point, a small jetty at the exit of the island ..
Here are the results... :)

Phillip Island, Melbourne

Pyramid RockCoastal SunsetThe PinnaclesThe NobbiesPhillip Island CoastPyramid RockThe PinnaclesJust returned from a weekend trip to Phillip Island. The main objective was to capture the spectacular landscapes of the Pinnacles, Pyramid Rock, Nobbies and some calm seascapes....The hardest shot of all would be the Pinnacles. Waking up at 4.30 in the morning to drive down Cape Woolamai Beach and it was a 2km hike form the car park that took me almost an hour to reach. Upon reaching, a further 20 mins to hike down the steep rocky slope. But it was all worth the effort, I love the shot! [...]

Shots from Maroubra Beach, Sydney Australia
