I encounter the same problem and still not sure with the reason.It needs www to open the page successfully.I hope it will be alright to open the site even i type mydomain.com without www at the start.

I'm assuming yahoo is your domain registrar and not your hosting service.

In your case, I believe you will need to have them modify your A Record.

I had just bought domain from yahoo small business, and I am having the same problem that you had. mydomain.com does not work, while www.mydomain.com working fine. May I know what kind of setting in the DNS that yahoo's technical support had made to make it run for you ?

I was under the impression that you could not use a CNAME for domain.com? I know that my DNS registrar also prevents me from doing this and would be interested to know how Yahoo accomplished this.
