Comment on Random Discourse – $8 Heart Bypass Surgery by 20160807 Is DJ Joe Augustin living in PAP’s ivory tower? | likedatosocanmeh

[…] One of PAP’s tactics is to twist, divert the issue and attack the person. A good example would be master story teller, Minister Khaw. In 2013, he suggested Singaporeans had low CPF Medisave balances because we were lazy. This was of course another half truth similar to his $8 heart bypass operation. […]

Hi The picture titled "NCO's Club" brings back memories, in the 1960's when this was "The Britannia Club" for British military personnel and their families. There was a large swimming pool along the entire length at the back of the building. The bar on the upper floor had a veranda overlooking the pool. Frequently after one too many drinks it was quite common for persons to jump from the veranda into the pool!

Comment on Commentary – Why I disagree with Kong Hee’s “theology” by Grievous

What the CHC leaders have in their minds, only they and God knows. It is not for me to judge them. And it appears to me the essence of worshipping with utmost humility and sincerity has been lost for a long time in many churches.

Hi, profound analysis, very well written! These CHC "leaders" have either got the doctrine all wrong (which means they must be quite sick in the mind) or they are just plain hypocrites or a combination of both from which there is intent(whether consciously or sub-consciously) to reap material benefits but at the same time "believeing" that they are living in the light of truth. The way they "practice " Christianity is indeed revulsive. As you have implied most aptly, the Lord told us not to judge, but He did not tell us not to reason or draw the line between right and wrong (or at least try). I remember my first or second time at Sunday service when an elder beside me told me: "if you do not know or understand the meaning behind Offering to the Lord, please do not give". This statement has been imprinted in me since that day many years ago. My view of the Church and Sunday service is a very simplistic one: A solemn place whereby all those who visit Him to pray And to worship should conduct themselves with utmost humility and sincerity, coupled with a kind of wholehearted child-likeness. Whenever I read, see or hear about this whole CHC set-up, I can''t help but think of...the anti-Christ!
