Assistant Professor in Political Science

Responsibilities include teaching three classes per semester, advising students, maintaining an active research agenda, and collegial service. The successful candidate will regularly teach Parties and Elections, Congress and the Presidency, and Research Methods. Other course assignments will be based on departmental needs and the successful candidate's expertise.



Assistant Professor of Biology

St. Norbert College, a private undergraduate liberal arts college, invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Biology beginning in August 2017. We seek a broadly trained microbiologist with experience in cellular or molecular techniques. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching undergraduates and will expand and strengthen the current research scope of the Biology faculty. Teaching responsibilities may include cell-level introductory biology courses, microbiology, virology, or immunology. Candidates will also have the opportunity to develop new courses at the advanced level (http://www.snc.edu/biology/majorrequirements.html) and in the College's core curriculum program. Productive research that provides meaningful experiences for St. Norbert College undergraduates is expected, as is advising students and being an active member of the College community. A demonstration of teaching effectiveness will be part of the interview process. The candidate will join the biology department in a newly expanded and renovated science building that also houses the Green Bay campus of The Medical College of Wisconsin.

Cashier - Ruth's Marketplace

This is a multi-task position responsible for monitoring student entrance into the marketplace during meal periods, maintaining daily receipts and cash bag balances, and serving as a student supervisor every 6th weekend. This position will also assist in the service, set-up and teardown of the marketplace and will perform other duties as assigned for a successful meal plan service. This is an academic-year position (off during the summer) and will work 11:30am - 7:45pm, Monday - Thursday and 11:30am - 7:00pm on Fridays. Will also work variable hours every 6th weekend.

Responsibilities include: waiting on customers, preparing food and beverages, rotating and arranging inventory, and operating the cash register. This is an academic-year position (off during the summer and academic breaks). The hours are Mondays from 7:00am - 3:00pm, every other Tuesday from 7:00am - 3:00pm, Thursdays from 7:00am - 3:00pm and Fridays from 7:00am - 2:30pm. This position will be required to work two Saturdays a year, one in October and one in May. Not benefit eligible.

Interviewing times are generally 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. with some additional daytime and weekend hours as necessary. Interviewers are responsible for conducting telephone interviews for a variety of research projects. Training and mentoring will be provided.
