The shaft is formed of at least two telescoping, adjustable sections that allow the height of the shaft to be selectively varied. Near the upper end of the shaft is a motorized armrest that can be raised to a horizontal position to support a user's arm or elbow. Slidably mounted on a lower portion of the shaft is a deployable leg assembly for firmly bracing the cane when a user leans on the armrest. Accordingly, if a user wishes to rest, he or she deploys the leg assembly and raises the armrest allowing the cane to easily support the user's body weight. When the armrest and leg assembly are collapsed, the cane may be used in a conventional fashion.

When the runner is slid downward to close the canopy, each torsion spring is compressed and stores energy. When the runner is slid upward to open the canopy, each torsion spring releases the stored energy to reduce the effort required for opening the canopy.

The temporary garage device comprises a protective cover component and a storage component for storing the protective cover component. Typically, the protective cover component is positioned in an arc-shape via a plurality of thin beams secured to the interior surface of the protective cover component to form a semi-rigid skeletal structure. Specifically, the protective cover component collapses in an accordion style for storage in the interior of the storage component. When needed, the protective cover component can then be linearly extended outward from the storage component in a semi-tubular configuration to cover the vehicle. Additionally, the storage component can comprise a plurality of wheels secured to a bottom side to allow the storage component to move and for ease in transportation of the temporary garage device.

Multi-functional walking aid

An improved cane with an internal grasping apparatus including an actuator on the cane handle and a plurality of clamps that extends from the foot or base of the cane. A cord system within the casing of the cane connects the actuator to the clamps so that when the actuator is in use, the clamps close or open to either grasp or release objects, depending on the amount of pressure applied to the actuator. Applying pressure to the actuator extends a plurality of clamps from the distal end of the cane that can be used to assist with grasping of objects. Releasing pressure to the actuator on the cane handle will retract the clamps back into the distal end of the cane to where the clamps are hidden.
