But it's true that some tasks (such as child care) require more effort and emotion than others (washing dishes, for example). But we don't often think about these things, especially when divvying up tasks. It's easy to make a chart that ensures that everyone is doing the same number of chores. But less simple is quantifying the stress those tasks bring.
