A nozzle hole projection of the nozzle hole channel has a channel wall with a wall height (h) extending away from the inner surface and is configured over a circumference of the nozzle hole projection so that the second channel end corresponds to a channel wall end of the channel wall configured so as to face away from the front surface.

The first section extends from a fuel inlet opening to a second opening disposed at the common interface. The cross-sectional area of the first section monotonically decreases from the fuel inlet opening to the common interface. The cross-sectional area of the second section monotonically increases from the common interface to the fuel outlet opening.

The teachings of the present disclosure describe an injector having an injector housing, an actuator, and a nozzle needle, wherein the actuator is arranged in an actuator space of the injector housing. The injector may include a control piston bore in the injector housing, in which a control piston is arranged, a leakage pin bore between the actuator space and the control piston bore, and a leakage pin coupling the control piston to the actuator, the leakage pin arranged in the leakage pin bore. The control piston may be hydraulically connected to the nozzle needle in order to open or close an outlet opening of the injector housing. The injector may include a high pressure line configured to convey a fuel under pressure to the nozzle needle and a feedline in the injector housing connecting the leakage pin bore to the high pressure line.

A four-bar linkage arrangement is incorporated between a manually actuated trigger to translate depressing the trigger to controllable reciprocation of the slide valve element. The four-bar linkage provides a mechanical advantage that allows the firefighter to easily control the trigger and thus the fluid discharge from the nozzle.
