A RRC configuration is performed (280) by the RNC with a timer value according to the timer value recommendation. Alternatively, the timer value recommendation is calculated in the RNC based on UE condition parameters provided by the Node B. Node B's and RNC performing these methods are also presented as well as computer programs and computer program products therefore.

One method comprises generating a near field detectable signal at an active node having a power level sufficient to enable communication with a plurality of near field communication nodes located within the target communication region. Information is modulated onto the near field detectable signal using at least one of the near field communication nodes. The modulated information is detected at the active node. The information is then relayed on the near field detectable signal from the active node to at least one of the plurality of near field communication nodes within the target communication region.

CONTACTLESS REPLACEMENT FOR CABLED STANDARDS-BASED INTERFACES

Thu, 06 Apr 2017 08:00:00 EDT

A contactless, electromagnetic (EM) replacement (substitute, alternative) for cabled (electric) Standards-based interfaces (such as, but not limited to USB) which effectively handles the data transfer requirements (such as bandwidth, speed, latency) associated with the Standard, and which is also capable of measuring and replicating relevant physical conditions (such as voltage levels) on data lines so as to function compatibly and transparently with the Standard. A contactless link may be provided between devices having transceivers. A non-conducting housing may enclose the devices. Some applications for the contactless (EM) interface are disclosed. A dielectric coupler facilitating communication between communications chips which are several meters apart. Conductive paths may provide power and ground for bus-powered devices.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

Thu, 06 Apr 2017 08:00:00 EDT

This information processing device (100) has: communication unit (110) that performs near-field wireless communication with other information processing devices; determination unit (120) that determines whether another information processing device (100) has come into proximity on the basis of the communication result of the communication unit (110); and control unit (130) that, if the determination result of the determination unit (120) indicates that another information processing device (100) has come into proximity, causes the communication unit (110) to transition to a reception mode and, if the determination result from the determination unit (120) indicates that another information processing device (100) has not come into proximity, causes the communication unit (110) to transition to a transmission mode.

WIRELESS TRANSCEIVING DEVICE

Thu, 06 Apr 2017 08:00:00 EDT

A wireless transceiving device is proposed. The wireless transceiving device includes a transmitting circuit, a receiving circuit and an auxiliary receiving circuit. The transmitting circuit includes a signal transceiving circuit. The receiving circuit includes the signal transceiving circuit. The auxiliary receiving circuit is coupled to the receiving circuit and includes an auxiliary antenna. When the receiving circuit receives a signal via the signal transceiving circuit, the auxiliary receiving circuit assists the receiving circuit to receive the signal via the auxiliary antenna.

PROTECTIVE ENCLOSURE FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE
