The invention relates to a plug comprising a plurality of contact elements located in a plug housing and strain relief elements (200, 200′) arranged on the housing (110, 310), wherein both contact elements and strain relief elements can be fixed to a printed circuit board (10) using SMT technology. The invention is characterized in that the strain relief elements (200, 200′) are sheet metal elements that can be fixed to parts of the plug housing and are bent essentially at a right angle on the side facing the printed circuit board (10), thereby forming a bearing surface (220, 220′) for SMT attach.

A socket terminal includes a front connection portion that comes into contact with a plug terminal, in which a recess having an inner wall is formed in a contact surface that comes into contact with the front connection portion. The front connection portion is locked on the inner wall by coming into contact with the inner wall when moving in a direction in which the plug terminal is pulled out from the socket terminal. The front connection portion also includes a contact edge that wipes impurities off the contact surface. An electrical connection between the socket terminal and the plug terminal can be maintained by locking the socket terminal on the inner wall even with an application of vibrations in directions in which the plug terminal is inserted and pulled out. Since the contact edge can remove the impurities, the electrical connection between the terminals can be stabilized.

One of the sides may include a first segment disposed in a first plane and a second segment disposed in a second plane. The second segment includes an outwardly extending communication transceiver housing configured to receive a communication transceiver. The communication transceiver may extend through an aperture in the second segment and into interior of the communication device to contact an electrical connector, while a second portion of the communication transceiver in the communication transceiver housing remains on the exterior of the communication device.

The present invention provides a safety device for protecting a person from an electrical shock while working on a live electrical wire connected to a terminal within an electric meter or circuit breaker box. The safety device comprises an inner cylinder slideably engaged within an outer cylinder and a spring disposed between the two cylinders for extending the outer cylinder axially outwardly with respect to the inner cylinder. The cylinders are made of nonconducting material. The inner cylinder engages insulation that covers the wire proximate to a bare end of the wire, which is connected to the terminal by a screw. When the person loosens the screw and the wire becomes disconnected from the terminal, the spring forces the outer cylinder outwardly to cover the bare end of the wire, which helps to protect the person from electrical shock.

When an object is inserted into the interface hole, the guiding surfaces guide and ride over the inserted object, moving the two blocking members away from each other. When the object is pulled out of the interface hole, the two blocking members are moved back toward each other by the elastic members.

A coaxial cable connector for coupling a coaxial cable to an electrical device includes a body, a threaded fitting, and an alignment mechanism carried and compressed between the body and the fitting so as to exert an axial force against the fitting to maintain electrical contact between the fitting and the body. The body of the connector includes an outer barrel formed with an inner compression band, and a compression collar carried on the outer barrel and formed with an inner compression band. In response to compression of the connector by a compression tool, the inner and outer compression bands deform and move from an uncompressed condition to a compressed condition crimped onto the coaxial cable so as to securely apply the connector to the coaxial cable.

A PCB assembly can be attached to hold one or more such assemblies. A resilient PCB housing holds a PCB by an interference fit while conductive wires are inserted into its wire cavity so that exposed portions of conductive wires make electrical contact with electrical traces of the PCB which is biased by wire insulation. Two conductors can be held by the PCB housing which are forced into electrical contact with the PCB when it is inserted into the resilient PCB housing which then biases such contacts. A switch can also be held by a switch interference fit with the resilient PCB housing such that its leads are biased against the PCB by the resilient PCB housing.

An electrical connection terminal capable of reducing manufacturing cost of a connector and a probe, and preventing erroneous contact between the connection terminal and a continuity check pin at the time of a continuity check, and a connector using the same. The connection terminal includes a fixed piece to be fixed to a base of the connector, a coupling portion extending upward from the fixed piece, and a movable piece extending from the coupling portion in the direction facing the fixed piece. The connection terminal arranged side by side in the base further includes an extending portion for the continuity check provided in an end of the fixed piece, and a projection for the continuity check provided at an upper side of the movable piece or the coupling portion. The continuity check may be provided by use of the probe with two rows of check pins.

Each of the corner frames includes a base and an engagement member configured to engage the first electrical component as the first electrical component is received into the receiving space. The engagement member is configured to be resiliently deflected toward the base in a compliance direction via engagement with the first electrical component. Opposing spring beams mechanically connect the engagement member to the base. The spring beams are configured to spread apart from each other as the engagement member is deflected in the compliance direction.

The plug connector comprises a connector housing and a latching arm assigned to the connectorhousing, whereby the plug connector is configured to be mountable with the retainer. The connector system comprises a deflection portion for causing the latching arm to deflect upon mounting of the plug connector with the retainer. The deflection portion is shaped such that the deflection provides increasing resistance against further movement of the plug connector. The connector system further comprises a release portion configured to enable a release deflection of the latching arm. The release portion is shaped so the release deflection does not provide resistance against further movement of the plug connector. Still further, the connector system comprises a latching portion configured to allow the latching arm to lock the plug connector.

A first urging member urges the lock member to the lock position. Finally, in the indexed configuration of the bodies, the axis of travel (X4-X4) of the pin (104) intersects the outlet (238) over the entire the rotation range of the locking ring.
