The design that John Reinhold hashed out with designer Marc Jacobs over dinner one night is an interesting concept.


Following the trend of anti-bling, The Diamond Rattle Ring is unique in that the diamonds are contained in the hollow gold band within eight interior compartments, with each segment capable of holding a .25 carat diamond.


When the inner part of the ring is rotated, a window appears over one of the compartments, which enables the wearer to remove one of the stones, giving them the ability to feel the stones and hear their “delicate music.”

The latest pricey addition into the Russian brand Gresso’s ultra lavish brigade of cell phones is the White Diamonds collection. With two new phones called the Gresso White Diamonds and Gresso Royal White Diamonds, the cell phone brand has touch newer levels of lavishness in the cell phone market.

Gemesis, a company which sells "cultured" diamonds has gradually grown and they are now getting more designers to work with their stones. Last year designer Taryn Rose created a line using Gemesis stones and now Florida-based designer Lee Havens is displaying an impressive yellow cultured diamond necklace in his Palm Beach shop.

The $500,000 necklace was created by Gemesis and features 72 stones for a total of 64 carats. The necklace is being sold to benefit The Foundation for AIDS Research (AmFAR).

Along with other pieces created by Gemesis rings and pendants set with the cultured stones, which are priced from $20,000 to $40,000, will also be sold for benefit. Ten percent of sale proceeds will go to the charity.

The price of the Gemesis cultured diamond jewelry is approximately 30 percent of a "traditional" colored diamond piece.via

A reward is being offered after thousands of pounds of jewellery was stolen from a shop in Bungay.

A large amount of gold and silver jewellery was taken between Saturday night and Sunday morning from an antiques shop on Earsham Street. The businessman involved, who does not want to be named, is offering a £1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the offender and the recovery of the jewellery.


Most of it was antique, including a Victorian gold ring, a diamond and emerald Victorian ring, an Edwardian gold ring, a square ruby and diamond ring, and a rose gold sapphire ring. Necklaces were also taken, including a blue topaz on a rigid snake chain, a silver moonstone on a chain and a heart shaped locket. Also stolen were a rose gold bangle bracelet, a Victorian gate bracelet, silver flat snake bracelet, a Victorian brooch with pearls and antique gold dollar earrings. Many of the rings were in octagonal green leather boxes.


They were taken between 5.30pm on Saturday and 10.45am on Sunday. Anyone who saw anything or who has been offered any of the jewellery is asked to call Det Con Sargeant at Beccles CID on 01986 835300.via

Belgian police were searching on Tuesday for a priceless 1,000-year-old gold and gem-encrusted Byzantine cross and other treasures stolen during an armed robbery from a cathedral in Tournai in western Belgium. Despite an alarm system and protective case, the thieves made off with the small, richly adorned cross, which is said to contain a fragment of the True Cross, from the 18th century cathedral Monday morning.


The Byzantine cross, covered with thick pieces of gold, pearls and precious stones, is said to have been a gift to the cathedral, given in 1205 by a crusader freshly returned from the sacking of Constantinople the previous year.


It bears a crystal through which one can see a tiny fragment of what is said to be the cross on which Christ was crucified. The main side bears 48 precious stones including emeralds, amethysts and sapphires while the reverse side has 32 stones.


The cross is said to contain a relic from the original cross of Jerusalem. So valuable, it is ensured for $37 million when removed for services or celebrations and is so well know that it would be virtually impossible for the thieves to sell.via

Despite calls from the United States and human-rights groups for a boycott of the sale after a bloody crackdown on protests last year, about 280 foreigners attended the sale, the New Light of Myanmar paper said on Sunday.
