Ellen, thank you for your feedback. I agree wholeheartedly! Books have given me wisdom that I could never have gained otherwise.

A book can really help you in everything. The world’s best ideas, thoughts and strategies are deposited within the pages of books. Books hold the map to your next great adventure. Attending personal growth coaching can help you too on developing your quality of life.

Hey Pierce, love that you mention Noteshelf. Did you know we bundled it up with Daily Notes as a The Ultimate Note Taking App? Just wanted to let you know, in case you'd like to add more to your useful tools for both iPhone and iPad. :)

Pierce - I love this post. I agree, it's still a big factor. Girls go crazy bout a sharp-dressed man. Incidentally, I'm going to the Grow Smarter Conference tomorrow - Daymond John is one of the speakers.

Re: The Power of Understanding Our Core Values

Mon, 23 Mar 2015 19:16:51 -0000

Pam, thank you for affirming my thoughts here. I have seen it over and over. We sometimes have a disconnect between what we think we believe until we are pressed and make a conscious effort to clarify them. The mirror is a great way to remain focused in a noisy world.

Kevin, I do remember you and I appreciate you responding to this blog. Jimi Gibson and I have taught a live class on the clarification of core values and developing your brand. We have discussed often creating a program that people can use to do what you have recommended. Thanks for the encouragement and reminder.

Hey Pierce,
Excellent blog article. I have a sneaking suspicion that many people can not specify their core values in a nice, neat manner. Core values are sort of like personal world view...everyone has them, but they do not know how to list them. It would likely be very helpful to point to a resource that would help people produce their list of core values to post on their office wall or dashboard.

That makes sense...it can get confusing sometimes...will look in mirror next time and check with myself...the world seems to make it difficult, at times, to remain true to values.

Great Interview! Patrick is a very bright entrepreneur and thought he did a great job on Shark Tank. Glad he walked away from the deal to be fair to his current investors. Can't wait to start using BrandYourself to get my linkedin ranking higher.

Love the LG heads phones you mentioned!! I'm using mine to record my podcast until I get a real microphone.

Dale Carnegie was right. Yet nobody really teaches us how to talk. We just picked up our languages "skills" from our surroundings! Good post Pierce

It has been the case for me. Surprising how many people miss this valuable insight.
Thanks for the feedback Dan.

Pierce - ah so true. I firmly believe the more we know about ourselves the more effective we can be in our work, in our roles as spouses and parents, neighbors, friends, etc.
