Residents of cool Manchester were in for a treat last Sunday when the Jamaica Classic Car Club (JCCC) made their annual trek to the parish.The club visited two venues, instead of the usual one. The first stop was Midway Mall in Mandeville, which was followed by the regular hang-out of choice at the Mandeville Shopping Centre.

DRAG racing organisers say this year's staging, which begins on Sunday, May 27, will be at a totally new venue — the Ken Jones Aerodrome in St Margaret's Bay, Portland.The announcement was made at its annual awards ceremony held at the Waterfalls in St Andrew last Saturday.According to Stephen Gunter, NDRC executive member, development plans are in high gear for the sport's old haunt of Vernamfield in Clarendon.

JAMAICA'S rally season will open with the Macklin Peterkin Memorial Rally in New Works, St Catherine, this Sunday. Action is scheduled to start at 10:00 am.“The Macklin Peterkin Memorial Rally will feature 10 stages and a total of 65.35km of stage miles,” Marcia Dawes, Drivers Rallysport Club (DRC) vice-president (Competition), told the Jamaica Observer's weekly Auto Magazine.
