Comment on Last-minute holiday gift ideas for Mac, iPhone, and iPad users by Karen Anderson

Bruce, Some people have been having great difficulty with that link. When I was posting last night, WordPress was crashing and freezing, and it kept rolling back to previous versions of the post. The URL was valid, but I have reposted it to see if that helps. My apologies! And thank you for letting me know.

Karen, I can't get the MacVoices TV link to work in the email either on my phone or Mac Book Pro. I can find it, but thought you'd want to know. Thanks for the list.

Comment on How to get ready for the iPhone 5 by Karen Anderson

Marc, I made the switch to Verizon. It cost more than I'd have liked — in part because, although I've had my iPhones with AT&T since the first iPhone, they charged me a whopping $200 for "breaking" my iPhone4S contract. That said, I'm thrilled with the improvement in service. Verizon is as fast, or faster, than AT&T and I have not had a single dropped call in Seattle or while traveling in Florida and Atlanta, Ga.

Excellent info! I haven't bought my iPhone 5 yet, but I'm thinking of leaving AT&T only because I want an unlimited data plan for tethering.

Brennon, I'm stumped by this one. It sounds like a Verizon issue rather than iPhone — I'd urge you to contact Verizon customer service. Karen

Comment on My AT&T iPhone prediction: Charges for opt-out text message spam will piss off customers by Karen Anderson

Phillip, I'm glad to hear the the reps are responding quickly to this. Too bad "Purchase Blocker" isn't the default setting rather than something you have to call and ask for. I'd like it if I could set an alert to email me if my AT&T bill goes over a certain amount. I caught the bogus charges only because I noticed my bill had crept up by $10. Cheers, Karen
