Katie's generosity must be an example for all of us. Generosity nowadays is only based on interests. It's always a pleasure to read such stories of donors, generosity and humanity. Thanks for sharing, brought me a huge smile on my face!

I signed up to the British Bone Marrow Register about 10 years ago when I first started donating blood and I've recently been told that I'm a match for a patient. I've had one set of tests done for my tissue type and I'm now waiting for the results of the final blood test. I'm hoping that I will be able to help this patient by donating my bone marrow but I'm also trying to raise awareness of the importance of registering to be a bone marrow donor as there are an unbelievable number of people out there just waiting for a transplant.
