How do you keep squeezing your answer in front of mine, Kouryuu...? Anyway, yeah, you're right. I also think it's silly to discuss it any further from this point.

Yes, whore and prostitute are essentially synonymous. However, after double checking, the technical definition of "whore" also includes promiscuous women as a possible meaning. Since Ran is not promiscuous, one could argue she is not technically a "whore", but as she takes money for sex, the fact that she is a prostitute by technical definition is undeniable. Of course, at this point we're only arguing semantics.

I believe you're confusing a whore with a slut now.

A whore is just a loose woman that may or may not sleep around, whereas a prostitute specifically solicits sex for money.

1. Whoa, how did Kouryuu squeeze his answer between raven8's and mine? He posted after me... 2. @Kouryuu: Aren't a whore and a prostitute the same thing? Except, I suppose, whore is more an... abusive term than prostitute.

Mayhaps not a whore, but at least by the strict definition, it still counts as "prostitute" =D

Of course that counts. A whore is a whore. If she sells herself to only one person, then she's an exclusive whore.
