Reports of Whitney Houston's Death Denied

Whitney Houston's rep issued a shocked denial today to counter reports that the singer/actress has diedIn a statement, her publicist, Nancy Seltzer, said, "I've just spoken to Whitney. She is perfectly fine and does not understand why, with everything going on in the world right now, they have to find new rumors to dig up. She is home in New Jersey with her family." Seltzer said people were calling the singer at home and sobbing, after apparently having heard reports of her death over the radio. According to the rumors, Houston had died of a drug overdose. Fans and the media have speculated about Houston's health after her performance at Friday's Michael Jackson tribute concert at Madison Square Garden, where she appeared shockingly thin, even skeletal. The singer then bowed out of the second night of the concert without explanation, prompting heightened speculation about her health. Houston has long been rumored to have drug problems, and in Tuesday's edition of the New York Daily News — which was evidently published before horrific terrorist attacks brought the city to a standstill — Seltzer denied fresh reports that her celebrity client was on drugs."Whitney has been under stress due to family matters, and when she is under stress, she doesn't eat," Seltzer told the New York tab at the time.Houston and her husband, singer Bobby Brown, have had a history of drug- and alcohol-related issues, including possession of marijuana charges for Houston in January 2000, which were later dismissed, and a 75-day stint in jail for Brown in 2000, after he violated his probation (stemming from 1996 drunken driving charges). Whitney Houston found dead in hotel

(Reuters) - Whitney Houston, whose soaring voice lifted her to the top of the pop music world but whose personal decline was fueled by decades of drug use, died on Saturday in a Beverly Hills hotel room. She was 48.Her death came on the eve of the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles and at the same hotel where her mentor, record mogul Clive Davis, was holding an annual pre-event party at which she was scheduled to perform. A dramatic scene unfolded at the Beverly Hilton Hotel as music celebrities arriving for the party expressed shock at her death, while reporters swarmed the hotel and fans gathered to pay their respects.A Beverly Hills police officer told reporters they were called to the Beverly Hilton at around 3:20 p.m. PST and that emergency personnel found Houston's body in a fourth-floor room, and she was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. The cause of death is under investigation."She has been positively identified by friends and family (who) were with her at the hotel, and next of kin have already been notified," Lieutenant Mark Rosen told reporters. Police said there were no obvious signs of criminal intent.Tributes poured in from around the world for a singer whose remarkable vocal range produced some of the most memorable music of her generation, including her signature hit, "I Will Always Love You.""Whitney Houston was not only an amazing artist but also a beautiful person. She was so smart and her knowledge and appreciation for the musical art form was remarkable," Motown founder and R&B legend Berry Gordy said in a statement.Neil Portnow, president of the Recording Academy, which runs the Grammys, said event producers were working on ways to honor the singer in front of her many friends in the audience. Standing on the red carpet outside the hotel, Portnow told Reuters they would "try to celebrate her life," and called Houston a "one of a kind singer" whose body of work was "staggering."Throughout her decades in music, Houston won six Grammys, 30 Billboard awards and 22 American Music Awards. She released seven studio albums, sold some 170 million CDs, singles and videos that included smash hits "Saving All my Love for You."She also appeared in the movies "Bodyguard" (1992), "Waiting to Exhale" (1995) and "The Preacher's Wife" (1996). Houston was inspired to sing as a child by soul singers in her New Jersey family, including mother Cissy Houston and cousins Dionne Warwick and the late Dee Dee Warwick. Her godmother was Aretha Franklin."I just can't talk about it now," Franklin said in a statement. "It's so stunning and unbelievable. I couldn't believe what I was reading coming across the TV screen. My heart goes out to Cissy, her daughter Bobbi Kris, her family and Bobby (Brown)."STELLAR CAREER, PERSONAL TROUBLESBy the early 1990s, Houston reigned as the queen of pop, but her critical and commercial success on stage was accompanied by an increasingly troubled personal life. In 1992 she married singer Bobby Brown, who had a bad-boy reputation, and their tumultuous 14 years together were marred by drug abuse and domestic violence. In 2000, she and Brown were stopped at an airport in Hawaii and security guards discovered marijuana in their luggage. In a 2002 TV interview, she admitted using marijuana, cocaine, alcohol and prescription drugs. The pair also starred in a reality TV series, "Being Bobby Brown," which painted an often unflattering portrait of the couple. The last 10 years of Houston's life were dominated by drug use, rumors of relapses and trips to rehab. She launched a comeback tour in 2009, and in April 2010 she called media reports she was using drugs again "ridiculous." In May 2011, Houston enrolled in a drug and alcohol rehab program. Despite her personal troubles she commanded great affection among her music industry colleagues, and emotional tributes flooded the media in the hours after news broke of her death."I am absolutely heartbroken at the news of Whitney's passing," legend[...]

Angelina Jolie ‘fan of Swinton’

Angelina Jolie thinks Tilda Swinton is a “fascinating role model”. The two stars spent much of the recent Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards deep in conversation. Angelina is said to be in awe of Tilda’s offbeat career and loves how she stays true to herself in Hollywood.

“She said she especially loves Tilda’s ‘up yours’ attitude toward the establishment and sees her as a fascinating role model. Angie’s totally entranced by her and no wonder – Tilda’s had her hair share of controversies,” a source told National Enquirer.

Both Angelina and Tilda are renowned for being different to the Hollywood ideal. Angelina famously once kissed her brother in public and has dated at least one woman in the past. Tilda’s romantic life has also hit the headlines, with suggestions she has lived with both her husband and lover. She denied the allegations, and Angelina is said to be impressed with how she handled herself.

“Angelina loves… her edgy, open attitude to sex, life and even her career,” the insider added.
“Now that Angie’s keen to get into more indie films, she’s obsessed with modelling herself on older actresses and would kill to co-star with Tilda.”

Kendall and Kylie Jenner Talk Style, Their Sisters, and Being Normal in Hollywood

It's hard enough being a teenager, let alone one whose life is played out on TV for millions of people every week -- oh, and whose older sisters just happen to be the mega-famous Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian. But Kendall and Kylie Jenner have managed to maintain level heads despite the paparazzi, modeling gigs, and millions of Twitter followers. Their secret? "They are so down-to-earth," Kim tells Teen Vogue of the magazine's March cover girls. "It's just who they are, and they will never change."It helps that Kendall, 16, and Kylie, 14, both attend school regularly and are involved in extracurricular activities, which for Kendall includes cheerleading. "We had a [football] game," she tells the TV interviewer excitedly. "We won. We're undefeated so far." The willowy teen also jokes that her friends on the squad refer to her as "Cheer Mom" because "when we make those big banners for football games, I'm the one to say, 'Do this, do that; use this color, use that color.' Not, like, in a mean way. But I just like things in order. I'm a perfectionist."Being the youngest two in an extended family that includes 10 children (dad Bruce has four from two previous marriages, plus mom Kris' four with ex Robert Kardashian), Kendall and Kylie also have plenty of watchful eyes following their every move -- so they can't really act out even if they wanted to. "[They] are like my babies," says Khloe. "I literally raised them, and I make sure I'm still very involved in their lives. I have access to all of their social media outlets. They are not allowed to have Twitter or Facebook unless I have the password. I'm very protective, but in doing that they also feel like they can talk to me about anything, and they do."Another perk of having all those famous sisters: designer hand-me-downs. During the interview, Kendall sports a pair of jeans outgrown by her sister Kourtney. And there's plenty of brand new clothes, too, which they house in their recently-remodeled closets described as "posh boutiques, each one nearly the size of a New York City studio apartment … think rows of shoes, walls of jewelry, dozens of purses, bins of scarves and beanies, and drawers that hold enough sunglasses to make Rihanna jealous."But when it comes to their personal styles, the two sisters could not be more different. "Kylie is more rocker, and Kendall is more tomboyish," says Kim. And that's obvious when the girls show off their favorite pieces in their closets. "I like to be comfortable and casual," shares Kendall as she holds up a dress from H&M and a leather jacket, while Kylie proudly shows off a pair of sky-high studded Christian Louboutins heels. "I'm more laid-back than Kylie," notes Kendall. "In school, I'll wear jeans, a sweatshirt, and Uggs, and she'll wear, like, this whole ensemble that she put together the night before."Despite the differences in their personalities and style, the teenage sisters get along surprisingly well. But it wasn't always that way. "We used to fight, like, three times a day," Kendall reveals. "We'd punch each other, kick each other, pull each other's hair. It was so bad." Now the two are learning to enjoy each other's company -- and that of their huge family. "I love having so many people you can turn to," smiles Kendall. Adds Kylie, "You always have someone there for you."[...]

The Most Notorious Kisses of All Time

There are famous kisses that raise pulses and there are famous kisses that raise eyebrows. The following eight lip locks fall into the latter category, acting as great water-cooler fodder and moments we will never forget. The jaw-dropping highlight of the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards was when Madonna and Britney Spears locked lips after performing "Like a Virgin." Interestingly enough, Madonna planted a big kiss on Christina Aguilera right after Spears, but since the camera didn't catch it, people watching at home were none the wiser. After winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2000 Oscars, Angelina Jolie planted a big wet one on her brother and date for the evening, James Haven. In case that wasn't enough to stir the gossip pot, later that evening, Jolie also revealed that she was "in love with" Haven. After secretly tying the knot, Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley made their first public appearance as a couple at the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards. And to really prove just how deep in love they were, they treated the audience to a long and awkward kiss. "And just think, nobody thought this would last," Jackson announced to the crowd after the smooch. As Adrien Brody bounded onstage to collect his Academy Award for Best Actor in 2003, he surprised presenter Halle Berry by pulling her into a passionate embrace and kissing her right on the mouth. The celebrity crowd went absolutely wild! When newlyweds Prince William and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, followed royal tradition by sharing their first kiss as husband and wife on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, it was the kiss heard round the world. And as if that wasn't enough, they kissed again (unprecedented!) just two minutes later! After a particularly creepy wedding ceremony featuring Michael Jackson and Liz Taylor, Liza Minnelli and David Gest shared a cringe-worthy kiss that was played over and over on cable news shows for days. The odd couple separated less than a year and a half later. After introducing Al Gore at the 2000 Democratic Convention, the presidential nominee surprised the world-and his wife Tipper-when he pulled her into a passionate embrace and vigorously kissed her. Instead of shedding his stiff politician image, the kiss ended up grossing out more than just a few voters. Sandra Bullock took Meryl Streep's breath away after an impromptu open-mouth kiss at the 2010 Critic's Choice Awards after presenter Bradley Cooper announced they had tied for the Best Actress award. Though it caused quite a stir at the time, the media dropped it after it was revealed that Sandra's husband at the time had been cheating on her for years. [...]

‘Amazing Spider-Man’ footage teased for fans

"The Amazing Spider-Man" dropped in on hundreds of fans Monday. Sony Pictures teased the latest incarnation of the web-slinging superhero, which doesn't arrive in U.S. theaters until July 3, at preview events held Monday at movie theaters in 13 cities spanning the globe, including Mexico City, Berlin, Rome, Paris and Moscow, with the cast and filmmakers appearing in Los Angeles, New York, Rio de Janeiro and London.

The event began with the debut of the 3-D full-length "Amazing Spider-Man" trailer, which will hit theaters this weekend and debut online Wednesday. The trailer featured footage of Andrew Garfield as a charmingly awkward Peter Parker being bullied at school, testing out his new web-slinging gadgets and battling the villainous Lizard high above New York.

"I think there are a lot of things from the Spider-Man canon that haven't yet been explored cinematically," said director Marc Webb in Los Angeles. "This movie really starts off with Peter Parker and his parents, which is something we've never really seen before, and I think that was something we were all really interested in exploring as filmmakers."

Garfield, who appeared in New York, said Spider-Man is more than just a character. He's a symbol that was once portrayed by Tobey Maguire and now by himself, and he hoped the next person to play the crime-fighting superhero would be a "half-Hispanic, half African-American actor," referencing the latest incarnation of the character in the comic books.

Emma Stone, who plays love interest Gwen Stacey, told fans in Rio de Janeiro that Stacey and Mary Jane Watson, Parker's girlfriend portrayed by Kirsten Dunst in the previous films, are "polar opposites," while Rhys Ifans said in London that his character, Dr. Curt Connors, who becomes the Lizard, has "a very complex and emotional" link to Parker.

After the cast addressed fans, Webb unveiled extended 2-D footage from the film peppered with music from the Rolling Stones and Coldplay. The scenes included Parker asking Stacey out on a date, Spider-Man humorously blasting a car thief with webs and the one-armed Dr. Connors telling Parker that "your father and I were going to change the lives of millions."

Celebs Unmasked

Stars including Lady Gaga and Snooki have dared to ditch the makeup and then proudly share bare-faced pictures of themselves with the world. Think they look hot sans the lipstick and mascara … or not?

Julia Roberts has ‘timeless couture look’

Julia Roberts created a “timeless couture look” at the Oscars in 2001, her hairstylist has revealed. Serge Normant was behind the actress’s gorgeous hair creation on the night of her big win over a decade ago.

The style oozed Hollywood glamour and was more than perfect for the moment when all eyes were on the Erin Brockovich star as she collected her trophy. “It was a great moment when Julia won her Oscar in 2001. The hair kind of happened. It wasn’t overly planned and we ended up with this gorgeous, timeless couture look,” Serge told the UK edition of Glamour.

The celebrity hair expert also named his favourite style of all time. Normant said he was so impressed by French actress Catherine Deneuve’s crowning glory in 1967 movie Belle De Jour, he put up the film’s poster in his apartment.

Very blonde and voluminous, the top section of her locks is swept-back to show off her gorgeous features. “I love Catherine Deneuve’s look in Belle De Jour – in fact, the only picture hanging on my wall in my downtown NYC salon is an original poster from the movie,” he revealed.

Celebs suit up for DirecTV Beach Bowl

Deion Sanders said he wasn't worried. Joe Montana went in with his game face on and Jordin Sparks just hoped sand did not end up in her eyes. Athletes and celebrities had different strategies as they prepared to play in the sixth annual DirectTV Celebrity Beach Bowl.

The event teams up stars with former and current professional athletes for a flag football game on the sand. Assistant coach Neil Patrick Harris admitted he didn't know much about the game, so he was going to rely on his teammates to make the calls.

"I really am not competitive at all. I quite frankly don't know what is going to happen or what we are playing," the actor said with a smile. "I know it is football of some sort, but it might be flag football, touch, two-handed touch. I don't know."

Lucky for him, legend Joe Montana was on his team. "I hate to lose," Montana said ahead of the game. "I am not very good at losing. You try to go into this as it's going to be a fun game, but as soon as you get involved ... if they score, you go, 'OK.' You have got to at least keep it competitive.

I can't just go through the motions. I want to win." Sparks, arrived with her dad, Phillippi Sparks, a former New York Giants football player. The former "American Idol" champion says she wasn't expecting intense action.

"I know it is not tackle. They are just grabbing the flag, but who knows, we could get tripped up and stuff, so I am glad there is sand," she said. "I am nervous about it getting in my eyes if I fall but other than that, it is going to be a lot of fun. I am excited. "

As for the other big game in Indianapolis, former Dallas Cowboys star Sanders said he would not pick the New England Patriots or the New York Giants to win on Sunday.

"I am a former player. I am not rooting for anybody. I just want a good quality game. I just want the fans to be entertained for three and a half hours. I want Madonna to come out and do the doggone thing like she can do it," he said of her halftime performance.

Other big names at the event included Peyton Manning, Chace Crawford, Cam Newton, Terrell Owens and David Arquette, who said he's been having a great time in Indianapolis.

"What I really like about Super Bowl in general is that it introduces you to another city," he said. "Indianapolis is a beautiful city a lot of people might not know about or have not visited. To come here and to meet the people and see the city, that is my favorite part actually."

Ne-Yo Gets Playboy Bunny Treatment At Super Bowl Pre-Game Party

Ne-Yo's regular background dancers had the night off Saturday when the R&B singer and songwriter played a midnight show at the Playboy Presents Carnival Mystique Super Bowl pre-game party. But he apparently didn't mind. The Bud Light Hotel venue go-go dancers sufficed. Plus, Playboy Bunnies joined him on stage between songs to kiss him and wipe off his sweat.

"I think I'm going to have to call [Hugh Hefner] and see if a couple can come with me," he joked. "My life sucks." Ne-Yo sang live to track and danced during his 40-minute set that focused on his mid-tempo and dance records, "Beautiful Monster," "Sexy Love," "Closer," and "Tonight."

He even dedicated a song to the bunnies. Before performing "Miss Independent," he described it as a record he had unknowingly written about the ladies, women who can do it for themselves, "and don't need anybody's help."

Surprisingly, he gave a fan the mic and let her sing a few lyrics of "Tonight." Afterwards, he teased her, frowning in response her off-key crooning. Before closing, he told the Super Bowl crowd that he was a fan of contenders, the New York Giants. They cheered, and booed when he acknowledged the New England Patriot fans in the house.

The party was to capacity, including numerous celebs, "Diners, Drive-in and Drives" host Guy Fieri, former "Gossip Girl" actress Jessica Szohr, "Brothers & Sisters" actor Dave Annable, NFL analyst Marshall Faulk, actor Scott Wolfe, "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush, Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, LMFAO, Shaquille O'Neal and ESPN host Scott Van Pelt.

Pilot Prince William in Falklands for 6-week tour

(AP) — Prince William arrived in the Falkland Islands on Thursday for a six-week deployment as a search and rescue helicopter pilot, British officials said, amid an escalating sovereignty dispute with Argentina over the territory.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed that William, known in the service as Flight Lt. Wales, landed on the British outpost as part of a four-member Royal Air Force crew. It said William will assume his duties "shortly" following a period of briefings and a familiarization flight.

The prince's visit has riled Argentina, which claims the islands 290 miles (460 kilometers) off its coast that it calls Las Malvinas. Britain's defense ministry has insisted William's deployment is routine, but Argentina's foreign ministry likened the move to a conquistador's arrival.
Britain and Argentina have been trading barbs in the run-up to the 30th anniversary of Argentina's April 1982 invasion. The 10-week war that followed ended in British victory and killed 650 Argentine troops, more than 250 British personnel and three islanders. Britain still maintains about 1,000 troops in the territory, whose 3,000 residents overwhelmingly wish to remain British.

Last month, Argentina persuaded Brazil, Uruguay and Chile to join a Mercosur trade group resolution to turn away any ship flying the Falklands' flag — which depicts a sheep and a ship along with the United Kingdom's red, white and blue Union Jack.

That action prompted British Prime Minister David Cameron to accuse Argentine President Cristina Fernandez of having "colonialist" aims on an island population that wants to remain a British dependency. She accused Cameron of "mediocrity bordering on stupidity."

Argentina's foreign ministry last week accused Britain of militarizing their sovereignty dispute by announcing that it is sending an advanced warship to the islands along with William "in the uniform of a conquistador."

Amanda Seyfried: "I'm Terrified of Being Promiscuous"

Amanda Seyfried has been linked to the hottest guys in Hollywood Dominic Cooper, Ryan Phillippe and Alexander Skarsgard, to name a few but that doesn't mean she's sleeping around. "I'm terrified of being promiscuous," the Gone star tells the March issue of Glamour. "I don't like the feeling you get when it's not something that you truly want to do, and I hate the emotional abuse you give yourself afterward."

"It's just uncomfortable when you're with somebody and you're like, 'I don't really know if I'm even comfortable with this. Why did I? Eww!'" she continues. "I think dating can come without sex." (Ironically, Seyfried will portray '70s porn star Linda Lovelace in an upcoming biopic.)

Though she was recently linked to real estate exec Andrew Joblon (they've since split), Seyfried says Cooper, 33, was the last man she truly loved. "He was my last real boyfriend. We still joke about having kids, like, 'If it doesn't work out with other people, we might as well just have a child," Seyfried says. "And there's a part of that that feels. . .possible."

Seyfried, 26, says she thinks about kids "all the time," telling Glamour: "I feel like the next person I commit to, that's going to be the guy who I'm going to have kids with. That's in my crazy female brain. So that's why I'm like, 'I can't commit.'"

George Clooney's Ex Elisabetta Canalis Makes Out With Steve-O

Is this some sort of Jackass stunt? Elisabetta Canalis has a new man in her life to replace ex-boyfriend George Clooney: Steve-O, the comedian and Jackass star whose many famous, outrageous stunts include pouring a can a beer into his rectum and attaching a leech to his eye.

On Monday, the Italian model-actress and Dancing with the Stars alum, 33, stepped out for a bite with Steve-O (real name: Stephen Glover), 37. Strolling and running errands after the meal, the twosome paused for numerous kisses and extended makeout sessions.
It's not the rebound fans might have predicted for Canalis, who followed up her two-year romance with Clooney, 50, with a fall 2011 fling with True Blood hunk Mehcad Brooks.

After splitting with Canalis in July, Clooney famously embarked on a new romance with WWE star Stacy Keibler; he and the 33-year-old are still going strong this awards season.

Spice Girls Reuniting for Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee

The biggest girl group of the '90s is making a comeback! Spice Girls singer Melanie Brown revealed the band will be reuniting this summer during a recent interview on Australian TV -- but contrary to reports, it won't be for the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony.

"I think the Queen's Jubilee concert is the event I'd be looking at more closely for that to happen," the 36-year-old said. Realizing she revealed too much, the singer quickly changed the subject. According to The Sun, Brown told TV crew members backstage: "I am going to be in such strife for saying that. It's all so totally bloody top-secret still."
The "Scary" musician and her bandmates -- Victoria "Posh" Beckham, 37, Geri "Ginger" Halliwell, 39, Emma "Baby" Bunton, 36, and Melanie "Sporty" Chisholm, 38 -- last performed together during a reunion tour that kicked off in 2007.

"I'm always down for a Spice Girls reunion," Brown said. "I love the Scary hair and platforms. Any time of day or night I'll be there."

To mark 60 years of Queen Elizabeth II's reign, the Diamond Jubilee will take place on June 4, 2012. The group will perform in front of the royal family, including Prince William, 29, and Kate Middleton, 30.

Get Salma Hayek’s flawless look

Salma Hayek’s make-up artist has revealed the tricks she uses to make the stars’s skin look “flawless.” The Latin beauty is renowned for being one of the most gorgeous women in Hollywood and although she is a natural beauty, the actress still gets a little help.

Beauty pro Kay Montano told Hello! Magazine the simple steps she takes when applying Salma’s make-up. “To make Salma’s skin look flawless and alive – and combat the effects of air travel – I apply peach-based foundations and concealers that are ideal for her Latin colouring,” she revealed.

“Salma has beautiful eyes. To get the classic matt-brown contoured eyes she likes, I combined a trio of Bobbi Brown Matt Eyeshadows in Sable, Mahogany and Grey, using the grey as a neutral base on the lid and blended into the crease.

“I then applied the mid-brown shade to the lid, taking it into the socket, with the mahogany used deep in the socket and around the lash line underneath both eyes.” And to give the Puss in Boots star her delectable pout, Kay only has to complete a few steps. “Salma’s naturally gorgeous lips need only to be outlined with a neutral lip liner that matches her colouring,” Kay said.

After a decades-long career filled with massive hits like "Bad" and "Thriller," you might think the late Michael Jackson had earned every award out there. Surprisingly, though, the King of Pop was only honored in front of Hollywood's famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Thursday during a ceremony featuring his three children. Prince, 14, Paris, 13, and Blanket, 9, used their father's signature shoes and glittery glove to leave his hand and foot prints in the famous sidewalk, alongside those of Marilyn Monroe, Fred Astaire, and many more. And despite Michael's many other honors, son Prince noted that the star would have found this one meaningful. "My dad won the lifetime achievement award. It was an award he strived and worked the hardest to get but for me, and I think for him as well, this right here is his lifetime achievement award," Prince revealed. "This is what he strived to get and this is what we are giving him now today."Cast members from the new Cirque du Soleil show featuring Michael's music, "The Immortal World Tour," were on hand, as were MJ's mother Katherine, actor Chris Tucker, legendary musician Smokey Robinson, and teen dream Justin Bieber. After being introduced by Paris, the Biebs, who's always been a big fan of the "Smooth Criminal" singer, even said a few words about his idol."I don't usually get nervous, but I'm kind of a little nervous right now," Justin told the crowd. "Michael meant so much to me, I know that he meant a lot to you guys as well. He was more than entertainer. He was an inspiration. He was kind, gentle ... he was very charitable. People are going to remember him for his dancing and singing, but people have to remember him for being the man that he was. Everything I do ... I look at Michael, I want to be as good as he was."Justin also noted that he often sang "Rockin' Robin" in the mirror when he was "really little," and performed a verse a cappella for the crowd. Do you think Michael would approve of his rendition?Looks like we'll never know. Unfortunately, as Justin revealed to "Access Hollywood," the two never crossed paths since the Canadian crooner was just beginning his career when Michael died in June 2009. "I basically released my first single the week he passed, so it was really unfortunate," Justin said. "So I feel like, it's just really sad. That was one person I really wanted to meet."[...]

Demi Moore Hospitalized: Can Divorce Make You Sick?

Beyond the gossip of Demi Moore's hospitalization, just two months after announcing her split from husband Ashton Kutcher, is the glaring reminder: divorce can make you sick. "Because of the stresses in her life right now,Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," said Moore's rep in a statement earlier this week. A flurry of unconfirmed reports suggest her "exhaustion" is code for substance abuse and malnourishment. An eating disorder, a late-night 911 call, a seizure, a nitrous oxide binge, are the whispers around the web. There's less talk about how the very public breakup of her marriage could be at the heart of her health problems. Not surprisingly, the effects of a broken heart take a physical toll. A review released this month by University of Arizona researchers found that divorced adults are at a higher risk of an early death than married adults. The effects of a split can be as harmful to health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day, being overweight or drinking heavily, according to the report. One 2006 study found that middle-aged women, in particular, are at a greater risk of cardiovascular disease than married women of the same age. Cancer and mobility issues have also been linked to the after-effects of a long-term romantic separation. But in the initial days and months after a divorce, the mental health risks are most threatening. "When you are processing the ending of a marriage you are overcome with a variety of complex emotions--sorrow, anger, shame, fear," explains Rachel Sussman, a licensed psychotherapist and author of The Breakup Bible. "Sleep and one's ability to eat may be impacted by the sorrow and stress, [which in turn] may affect your overall health and cause you to get very run down." A painful split is also grounds for a relapse of bad habits. Eating disorders, long-under control, may resurface in times of stress. Most notable, substance abuse is found in higher rates for women during a divorce than men, according to a WHO World Mental Health study. Moore has touted her clean living lifestyle in the years after her early '80s rehab stint but anyone who has suffered from drug addiction knows the threat of relapse hovers in times of transition. "Demi Moore is a recovering addict so for someone like her a divorce may indeed produce a relapse," Sussman tells Shine. "Addicts turn to substances for a variety of reasons including the need to mollify pain. It's a poor coping mechanism and will often produce the opposite effect than the one you are looking for." While the WHO study found more women using substances as band-aids during divorce, men were more likely to become isolated and depressed. Kutcher might not be the shining example of that statistic. While Moore battles her demons, Kutcher's been parading around Brazil's fashion week and sucking on coconuts for his twitter followers. To be clear, just because there are risk factors to divorce, staying in a troubled marriage isn't the healthy choice either. One University of Iowa study found that couples who weren't happy together had lower immune systems and took longer to heal than happily married spouses. Sometimes, divorce is the only option. But setting a self-preservation game-plan doesn't end with finding an attorney. In searching online for the terms "divorce" and "health risks," you have to plow through alarmist warnings about the health risks for children of divorce before you can find anything about surviving as a parent. Here's the short list[...]

Seal Opens Up About Split from Heidi Klum

Seal has opened up to Ellen about his recent split from Heidi Klum, saying he was surprised by their separation. "I think we were shocked," Seal told Ellen in an episode set to air Tuesday January 24, 2012. "You go into these things with the greatest intentions when you say 'I do' and
you say ''til death do us part.' Those vows hold value. They are not just words. These things happen." He added, "You just grow apart after awhile."
Still, Seal says, Heidi is "the most wonderful woman in the world. I think our priority was to remain civil and do this thing with dignity. We still very much love each other… It's a shame. To say that neither of us were grieving would be an out and out lie (and I don't mind telling you that)."
As for wearing his wedding ring, he won't be taking it off just yet. "Yes, I am still wearing my ring," he pointed out. "I think it's just pretty much a token of how I feel about this woman. We have eight years. Eight wonderful years together. Just because we have decided to separate doesn't necessarily mean you take off your ring and you're no longer connected to that person.
We will be connected in many ways 'til the rest of our lives…. though our children and also through this tremendous admiration, respect and love that we have for each other. Will we wear the ring for the rest of our lives -- who knows? But right now it feels really comfortable on my hand so I have intentions of taking it off anytime soon."

Tattoos for Moms: why celebrity parents get inked

Many mothers will carry pictures of their kids in their wallets, post photo albums on Facebook, wear jewelry with their children's birthstones or initials, or even put bumper stickers on their cars declaring there's a "baby on board." But the Daily Mail claims a new trend is emerging where proud moms are celebrating their kids—and their womanhood—through body art. Men have often paid tribute to their children through ink, but "mommy tattoos" are on the rise and female celebrities may be responsible for leading the trend. Angelina Jolie displays love for her six children on her arm. The birthplaces of Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne (and last year she added Brad Pitt's) are written as earth coordinates covering up an old "Billy Bob" tattoo-the remnants of her old flame. Heidi Klum has husband Seal's name tattooed on her arm (pictured below), but they just announced they're separating, so that may get removed! Next to his name are four tattooed stars symbolizing the couple's children, Leni, Henry, Johan, and Lou. Remember: a spouse may be temporary, but children are forever.Likewise, Pamela Anderson once had "Tommy" (as in her ex, rocker Tommy Lee) etched on her ring finger, but after the romance failed she changed it to "Mommy," a name that will be more permanent in her life.Forget "tramp stamps." Julia Roberts has the names of her kids, Hazel, Phinnaeus, and Henry, tattooed on her lower back. Victoria Beckham has five stars tattooed on her back-one for her, one for husband David Beckham, and one for each of their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz. Brooke Burke got the names of her four children tattooed on her wrist in cursive. Now Neriah, Sierra, Rain, and Shaya will always be with her. Mel B of the Spice Girls has a Phoenix on her arm as a tribute to daughter Phoenix Chi. Let's face it--tattoos have a bad wrap. But that's because some people get them while intoxicated or choose symbols or characters in other languages without understanding their true meaning. Some people get random tattoos like a rose with no real meaning at all and later regret them. Others get caught up in passion and get a tattoo for their significant other that will last far longer than the courtship. You know which tattoo most women wouldn't regret? One in honor of their children. Whether it's a tattoo of your kid's name, their birth date, their baby footprints, or their portrait, a mommy tattoo has a meaning that people can respect. Tastes change, and relationships end, but your kids will always be your kids no matter what. [...]

Eva Mendes: I work at my body

Eva Mendes says her enviable body is the result of “consistent hard work”. The Hollywood actress is famed for her gorgeous curves, but says her toned physique is the product of a dedicated exercise routine. Eva tries to work out as much as she can – even fitting it in around her filming schedules.

“I’m not naturally slim but I work out hard and I am consistent. It can be difficult fitting in exercise when I’m on location as there just isn’t time, but I always try to do a shortened version of my usual routine,” she told Health & Beauty magazine.

“I exercise at least five days a week; I love to run and I mix it up with light weights and squats. I also do yoga twice a week to stretch my body. Plus, it helps with my posture and relaxes my mind.” Eva always sports a beautiful glowing complexion. The 37-year-old star credits her healthy look to a carefully crafted routine.

“I never cared about exercise or what I was eating until I reached my 20s and then I started eating well and going from drinking no water to up to three litres a day,” she revealed. “I really believe in the beauty philosophy of starting from within now; it’s kind of changed my life.”

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Finale Recap: "We've Come Out Stronger as Women"

Lisa Vanderpump's daughter, Pandora, wanted to avoid a battle royale at her wedding. And tonight she got her wish—the Beverly Hills nuptials held at the family's mansion were picture perfect. Of course, that didn't keep Lisa from freaking out over every little detail. Or the Bravo producers having some fun at the expense of Paul Nassif's dignity. You're cordially invited to our recap of the the second season finale of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills...Continuing in the show's TMI tradition, Paul got a colonoscopy on TV. (Thank God Adrienne Maloof drew the line at giving him an enema, or we'd be treated to even more detail.)We get it, encouraging people to get checked for polyps or cancer is a noble effort, but there was no dignity in watching Paul pass gas in bed, especially since it sounded like the noise had been enhanced in postproduction. Um, really, guys, was that necessary? If Lisa decides to preserve this episode on her DVR, may we suggest deleting the first five minutes. Just saying. Of course, watching herself run around while wondering why they didn't just have the wedding at the Beverly Hills Hotel may not be worth preserving. Chi-chi-chi wedding planner Kevin Lee was MIA until just before the ceremony—the man does have his own reality series on TLC to attend to. But Lisa probably would have worried regardless. The $9,500 cake needs to be decorated. The flowers aren't right. The transformed tennis court doesn't look intimate enough. Hubby Ken Todd's still writing his speech an hour before the wedding."I'm a control freak," admitted Lisa in the understatement of the year. At least no one crashed this party. (We're pretty sure La Toya Jackson was meant to be there, right?) And somehow, the family even found the one man in L.A. who doesn't want to be on TV to perform the ceremony. Or maybe he was imported from some place where doctors and priests don't hand out head shots. Luckily for Pandy, it was classiest—and possibly most expensive—party thrown this season. "It definitely looked like a million dollar wedding," cooed Camille Grammer. "I don't know how much she spent, but Lisa is smart enough to not spend that much money."She may have a point. Pandy looked gorgeous in her Ian Stuart princess gown, but it only cost $6,000. Remember, this is Bev Hills. That's budget pricing in this zip code! Three weeks later, Kyle Richards managed to have another drama-free get-together.The worst has finally happened, Russell Armstrong is dead, and Kyle's worried about Taylor and Kennedy. "Since Russell died the girls have not seen a lot of Taylor. It's time for her to come back to her friends so we can support her."Kim Richards is not there, of course, but Kyle says it's better this way. "In order for us to get along, I have to not say anything." The show then provides updates on all the women, though in some cases, a peek at headlines would have been more timely:"Taylor has been trying to keep afloat after the tragedy. Facing financial and legal issues, she's publishing her memoirs.""Camille and her beau are still hot and heavy. Emphasis on the hot." (She's also dealing with her ex and his new wife's pregnancy and rumors she's being replaced next season.)"Lisa and Ken downsized to a 10,000 square foot home…and promptly added 2,000 more." (She's also rumored to be in talks for her own spinoff show.)"Adrienne is celebrating her shoe line's success…and having a new[...]

Nicki Minaj Spills Beauty Secrets

Let's face it -- Nicki Minaj is almost as much known for her fabulously zany style as her chart-topping hits (you know you've made it when they start selling "Nicki" wigs at Party City before Halloween).

But the always put-together Nicki reveals some surprising beauty secrets to -- for one, that she doesn't know how to put on eye makeup! "I don't have the patience, my hands shake, and I mess everything up," Nicki says about the most high-maintenance part of her beauty routine -- her often dolled-up eyes. "So my makeup artist has to do my brows and lids and lashes. Everyone knows I'm a lash girl by now. When I don't have my lashes, I feel naked."
And what's her absolute must-have beauty item? Not surprisingly, it's pink lipstick. "I can't see myself without pink lipstick. I can go without it for a couple days, but if there was no more pink lipstick in the world, I'd be useless. Seriously," she says. "And a good white pencil for under the eye, just inside the rim. It helps you look like you're on."
She also reveals a particularly painful incident that has her vowing to never keep her nails long again. "My nails used to be, like, a mile long, with all these crazy designs on them. The reason I stopped doing that was because one time, when I was driving from New York to Atlanta, I hit my hand on something and it ripped off the nail and the skin," she recounts. "I had to pull over I was in so much pain and stay in a $50 motel where the truckers sleep. I vowed I would never get long nails again."

Golden Globe Dresses: Knockoffs already available

The Golden Globes were just last Sunday, but the folks at Faviana have been hard at work creating replicas of the most popular red carpet gowns. The company is famous for their celebrity lookalike gowns (they quickly reproduced Kate Middleton's wedding dress), and if you haven't been able to get Angelina Jolie's Versace gown out of your mind all week, the Today Show presented a very similar design which can now be yours for for $258.

Faviana's celebrity recreations are very successful-there's an entire section of their site called "Dress Like a Star." But we wonder who seeks out these knockoff gowns. Would you want people to think, "Oh, she's wearing an imitation of that Angelina Jolie dress. She's even got the matching red lipstick on!" Wouldn't that be embarrassing? And wouldn't you want to be a tad more creative?

If you're looking for a slightly less obvious copy, Faviana has also created knockoffs of Jessica Alba's lavender Gucci dress (under $500), Charlize Theron's pale pink Dior Couture gown (under $400), and Stacy Keibler's red Valentino dress (under $300). Very few people could afford a $5,000 Valentino dress, but a classic red dress for $300 is doable. By the time the copies are available in six to eight weeks it's entirely possible people won't remember the original gowns they're based upon.

Rihanna Sunbathes on Surfboard in Black Thong Bikini

Feeling cheeky! In Hawaii on Thursday, Rihanna ditched the full-body wetsuit and hit the waves, surfboard in tow, while rocking a slinky black g-string bikini.

But the 23-year-old clearly had no intention of catching some surf and instead, put her assets on full display while lounging on her stomach atop the surfboard, done up in a cherry red lipstick, large gold hoop earrings, layers of matching necklaces and bracelets, and her hair styled in a messy 'do.
The Barbados beauty has been showing some major skin since arriving on the island last Saturday. Case in point: the "We Found Love" singer proudly shared a Twitpic of her working out on an elliptical machine while wearing just a tiny white bikini. Perhaps the scantily-clad singer is showing off her dangeous curves in hopes that her ex-beau Chris Brown, who she's been seretly seeing, will see them?
In the latest issue of Us Weekly, on stands now, a confidant of Brown's tells Us that the two have been known to "meet up casually," adding, "She comes to see him anytime she's in L.A."
"Rihanna loves to live dangerously, and talking to and hooking up with Chris is all part of that," adds a Rihanna insider.

Stars' Sexy Bikini Style

Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler Get Romantic in Hawaii

You know that part of a relationship where you're so in love that you just can't keep your hands off the other person? That's exactly where actress Vanessa Hudgens and her sweetie Austin Butler are now, judging from photos that show the two during a winter vacation in Hawaii on Thursday.
The starlet, 23, and the "Switched at Birth" actor, 20, have been dating since September, and are obviously thrilled to be back in the same time zone following Van's trip to Australia to promote her new movie, "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," which debuts in American theaters on February 10.

The snaps demonstrate that Hudgens has definitely moved on from Zac Efron, whom she met while both were filming their breakthrough roles in Disney's "High School Musical" movies. The two dated for more than four years before splitting in December 2010.

Turns out, Austin is actually part of the "HSM" family, too. He starred alongside Vanessa's BFF and "High School Musical" co-star Ashley Tisdale in her character's 2011 spin-off, the TV movie "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure." Incidentally, Butler's also had roles on several Disney TV series, such as "Hannah Montana," "Jonas," and "Wizards of Waverly Place."

"American Idol's" Best of the Worst Auditions Ever

Watching the "American Idol" auditions can sometimes be an excruciating experience, especially when the tone deaf wannabes take to the stage. However, like a a train wreck, you sometimes just cannot look away. After all, sometimes among the divas and fame lovers, you actually get someone that might not be the next Beyonce, but at least they aren't a jerk when they don't get a ticket to Hollywood. Here is a look at the some of the best of the worst "singers" to have auditioned for "American Idol."

Tamika Bush
Wow. That is the only word that can be used to describe the audition of this Season 1 hopeful Tamika Bush, which is not necessarily a good thing to say. Bush tried to belt out a Whitney Houston classic, but unfortunately her pipes just weren't up to the challenge. The three original judges (Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson) critiqued Bush's voice, stating that she was not meant to be a solo singer. This enraged Bush, who fired right back at them in full diva mode. Simon tried to calm her down, but unfortunately he bungled the pronunciation of her name, adding fuel to an already volatile fire. Watch her audition here.

William Hung
Season 3 may have been the year of Fantasia, but it is also will be remembered as the season of William Hung. By this time, bad auditions were nothing new, however Hung's lack of attitude was quite refreshing, which combined with the sheer joy he brought to Ricky Matin's "She Bangs," helped make him an internet sensation. Hung did move on to a music career, but like most pop culture icons, his star eventually ran out of light. These days, Hung works as a Statistical Analyst for the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, which includes the assessing the likelihood of crimes in particular neighborhoods.

General Larry Platt
Most people that audition on "American Idol" try to put an original spin on a classic song, but it takes a very brave person to attempt a complete original. That is what made General Larry Platt's audition so memorable. Granted, he was never going to make it through; his advanced age would see to that. Yet, Platt was still allowed to audition in front of the cameras with his ode to pulling your pants up, titled "Pants on the Ground." It may not have been a vocal powerhouse, but the tune was still pretty catchy, and watching Platt throw in a few killer dance moves was worth the airtime he was given.

Rihanna Works Out in a Bikini

She may be on vacation, but that hasn't stopped Rihanna from working on her fitness! The 23-year-old "You Da One" singer has been soaking up the sun in Hawaii since Saturday, where she's been spotted paddle boarding and swimming with the sharks.

The bikini-clad star hit the gym on Wednesday, sharing a photo of herself exercising on the elliptical via Twitter. How does the musician -- who's been hooking up with her violent ex Chris Brown for nearly a year, multiple sources tell the new issue of Us Weekly-- maintain her amazing abs?
"We focus on the core muscles," trainer Ary Nunez recently told Us of the martial arts- and dance-based workouts she does with the 5-foot-8 star. "And we do a lot of repetitions."

Elton John's Husband Apologizes to Madonna

Over the weekend, Sir Elton John's husband, David Furnish, slammed Madonna for winning Best Original song at this year's Golden Globe Awards and beat out John. Furnish took to his Facebook page, writing, "Madonna. Best song???? F**k off!!!" Well, David is now putting his tail between his legs and apologizing to the great and powerful Madge.

"Wow! What a tempest in a teapot. My comments regarding The Golden Globes have been blown way out of proportion. My passion for our film Gnomeo & Juliet and belief in Elton's song really got my emotional juices going."

David Furnish says, "F*ck off" to Madonna. He continued, "But I must say for the record that I do believe Madonna is a great artist, and that Elton and I wish her all the best for next week's premiere of the film W.E."

That's definitely quite a change of tune from Sunday's "f*ck off." I wonder if Madonna threatened to send her fiesty 24-year-old boyfriend-of-the-month-of-the-month/man-piece/there's-no-point-in-learning-his-name-because-he-will-be-gone-in-a-week over to Palace de Elton John for a talking to -- if David didn't publicly apologize?! Let's hope not! 'Cause nobody wants to see a glitter fight.

Either way I'm just so glad that all these filthy rich people are finally getting along! I know we can all sleep soundly tonight knowing that Madonna, Elton and David are trying to put their differences aside and can now really focus on their extravagant, award-winning lives.

Beyoncé Accused of Skin Lightening in New Promo Ad

A new promotional photo emerged yesterday for Beyoncé's current album, "4," and the internet is up in arms claiming the singer has been white-washed. It appears that a bright light was shining on Beyoncé during the photo shoot (as evidenced by the reflection in her leg), but her face and upper body appear confusingly lighter than everything else in the picture. When you combine her pale-looking skin with her blond hair, some people are accusing Beyoncé of trying to look white.

It's hard to imagine Beyoncé herself requesting a lighter appearance for the image, as there are many other people involved in producing her promotional photos including the photographer, lighting technician, photo editors, and people at her record label, Columbia. If anything Beyoncé's brown skin being lightened may only confuse fans who would have trouble recognizing her.

It's also important to note that is not the first time Beyoncé has appeared to be lighter in a photograph. Some said her cover photo for "4" also made the singer appear lighter. And in 2008, L'Oreal was accused of digitally lightening her ads for Feria hair color. As people become much more savvy and familiar with tools like Photoshop, we're more likely to call out questionable images that appear to have been altered.

Celebrity weight obsession to the extreme

My Body Mass Index (BMI) is the same as Brittney Spears's and one point less than Alicia Silverstone's. How do I know this? From a handy dandy online BMI calculator that (supposedly) compares your results to your favorite star's BMI. And if that weren't celebrity inspiration enough to keep on me on track with a New Year's diet plan, there are hundreds of other websites that obsess over every ounce of fat celebs gain or lose, hawk their diet and/or fitness plans, estimate their body weights and measurements for personal comparison, or simply extol who has shed the most pounds in recent months."We are interested-and young women are obsessed-with celebrity weight because stars are our benchmark in terms of fashion, glamour, and beauty," TV Producer Alice Keens-Soper tells Yahoo! Shine. Keens-Soper, who helped create the BBC documentary "Super Slim Me" in which a faux want-to-be actress struggles to lose twenty pounds in eight weeks to become a perfect "Hollywood size zero," adds, "And we love to gloat about celebrities who have 'fallen,' i.e. who are 'too fat,' have 'lost it,' and have proved that they are as glamorous and 'real' as we mere mortals."For some people, the media message that you can and should look like a celebrity is innocuous-just more white noise in a culture that bombards us with thousands of marketing images daily. For others, it can be deadly. Eating disorder expert Wendy Oliver-Pyatt, MD, FAED and executive director of the Oliver-Pyatt Centers, tells Yahoo! Shine, "People who are prone to eating disorders are more hardwired to be affected by these images. They can have a real impact on how we feel and think." For example, she points out a landmark study that investigated how Fijian girls and women were completely free of eating disorders until television was introduced to the island. The most frightening nexus of celebrity worship and disordered thinking about body weight and image occurs on "pro ana" (pro-anorexia) and "celebrity thinspiration" websites and blogs. These sites are plastered with images of models and actresses at their most skeletal. They are also packed with tips on extreme dieting including fasting and purging. A user comment on one blog reads, "I'll do what I want and if I die, I'll die skinny :)." It's not surprising that these sites are often supported by advertisements for diet pills and programs. The flip side of the "celebrity thinspiration" coin is reality TV programs like "The Biggest Loser" which feature real people competing to lose the most weight fastest. Marjorie Nolan, RD, eating disorder specialist and national spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, tells Yahoo! Shine that these shows "set people up to think they can lose ten pounds a week and feel like failures because they can't." Nolan speculates that contestants are eating under 1000 calories a day, not to mention exercising for hours. She points out to her clients that the "biggest losers" on television aren't dealing with work and family obligations, they have personal trainers, and they are under medical supervision 24/7.According to Oliver-Pyatt, the bitter irony of the "War on Obesity[...]

Gowns glow at Golden Globes

Angelina Jolie looked beautiful in a blush satin gown with a chic red neckline at the 69th Golden Globe Awards. The stunning star wowed on the red carpet yesterday with her elegantly structured Atelier Versace dress, which showed off her curves to perfection. The gown was split to Jolie's thigh, and was ruched at the waist to accentuate her petite curves. The actress teamed the frock with a red clutch bag to match the sweeping neckline. Jolie also opted to wear the crimson shade on her famously pouty lips. She kept her hair simple and swept off her face in a low bun.A host of other Hollywood faces stunned on the prestigious event's red carpet. White shades seemed to take centre stage, with Charlize Theron wowing in a daring Dior gown. The gorgeous actress showed off her décolletage with a plunging neckline, and ensured her perfectly toned legs were also on show. The gown's hem was higher at the front, and gathered into a sweeping train at the back.Stunning redheads Jessica Chastain and Nicole Kidman also wowed in neutral shades. Nicole looked edgy yet elegant in a studded cream dress by Versace. Chastain looked a picture in a white, high collared, Givenchy gown with Harry Winston pearls.Meanwhile, Jessica Alba and Kate Beckinsale chose a romantic pink shade to wow at the glitzy Hollywood event. Beyoncé Is Already a Wonderful Mom, Destiny's Child Pals Say

Beyoncé just brought baby Blue Ivy Carter home from the hospital but motherhood, according to her former Destiny's Child bandmates, is as natural for the pop star as dancing in stilettos and a leotard. "She's doing fabulous," Michelle Williams told PEOPLE on the red carpet at the taping of the 2012 BET Honors in Washington, D.C., on Saturday

"She was born to be a mother," Kelly Rowland added at the show, which will air Feb. 13. She's wonderful." According to Williams, Beyoncé has what it takes to be a great mother to baby Blue. "She has such compassion for people and humanity, period," she said.

Still, Williams admits that the ladies of Destiny's Child never thought their frontwoman would be the first to become a mom. "We were very shocked. We were laughing with each other the other day and she was like, 'Can y'all believe it? I was the anti – like no children for me,' and she's the first one [of us to have a baby]," Williams said. "So it was so amazing to see her."

Williams, who already spent time with "the bundle of joy," says Beyoncé and Jay-Z's little chart topper just might be the most stylish baby on the scene.

Fans Debate New Britney Spears Photo-Altered Or Not?

By: Wendy Geller
Britney Spears ended 2011 on a high note, what with the success of her Femme Fatale mega-tour and a proposal from longtime boyfriend Jason Trawick in December. In an upcoming issue of V Magazine, the superstar discusses her tour and poses with her team of professionals, giving them glowing reviews as "her second family."

Apparently, however, it's not Spears's goodwill that is standing out in this particular article. A commentary in the Daily Mail takes the accompanying photo into scrutiny, remarking on how quickly Spears seems to have slimmed down for this particular shoot.

"She has clearly been working out regularly in an effort to achieve the healthy and lean look," the Daily Mail notes judiciously. Fans, on the other hand, are less polite about the matter, with an overwhelming amount of comments claiming that the shot clearly has been tampered with. A sampling: "Photoshopped a dillion!" "That's her head on someone else's body," "Even Ray Charles can see the terrible 'Cut and Paste' job that was done on Britney."

Spears has been looking fairly trim these days, so it's not as if the V shot is a tremendous diversion from her usual look at least, weightwise. The photo does have an odd look to it, though. Compare for yourselves, here's Spears in September, just a short while after the V shoot was reported to have taken place.

V had no comment at the time this blog was written as to whether or not the photo had been altered. The issue with Spears will hit newsstands Thursday. To view more photos, visit the magazine's site.

Silent film 'The Artist' wins Globes, eyes Oscars

By: Michael ThurstonSilent movie "The Artist" topped the winners at the Golden Globes awards late Sunday, adding three gongs to its growing haul of prizes in the run-up to the all-important Oscars next month. The French-directed movie won best musical/comedy, best musical/comedy actor and best musical score, one more than family drama "The Descendants" which won two including best drama picture and best actor for George Clooney."We thought it would be a movie for the festivals, a film for critics ... but not this. We didn't expect this," said director Michel Hazanavicius, after being joined onstage by the movie's trick-performing dog star, Uggie. Meryl Streep won best actress for her mesmerizing portrayal of British prime minister Margaret Thatcher in "The Iron Lady," while best director went to Martin Scorsese for his 3D adventure "Hugo."There was disappointment for civil rights movie "The Help," nominated for five awards but winning only one, as well as Brad Pitt's baseball-themed "Moneyball" and Clooney's political thriller "The Ides of March," which each had four nods but went home empty-handed. But Clooney won big with "The Descendants," a Hawaii-based family drama which took the top prize at Hollywood's main pre-Oscars awards show, as well as best actor."Our quarterback was George Clooney," said "The Descendants" producer Jim Burke, accepting the award at the climax of the three-hour Globes show at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles. The movie missed out in the screenplay category to Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris," was beaten for supporting actress by Octavia Spencer in "The Help," and best director where Scorsese won for "Hugo.""The Artist," which had garnered the most Globes nominations with nods in six categories, was beaten for best director by Scorsese for "Hugo," for best supporting actress by Spencer and best screenplay by Allen's box office hit. Billed as a tribute to the silent movie era, the film tells the story of silent star George Valentin (played by Dujardin) whose career is torpedoed by the arrival of the "talkies."It won best film and best director at the New York Film Critics Circle awards in November, and more recently the Directors Guild of America (DGA) best picture seen as a key indicator for the Oscars, due on February 26.It took yet another prize just three days before the Globes with the Critics' Choice best film award in Los Angeles on Thursday. After its Globes success, the Oscars nominees will be announced on January 24. Other winners Sunday night included Michelle Williams as best actress in a musical or comedy for her Monroe turn in "My Week with Marilyn," and best supporting actor for Christopher Plummer in "Beginners."Best animated feature went to Spielberg's big screen version of the Belgian cartoon book hero, "The Adventures of Tintin." Best foreign language movie went to "A Separation" from Iran, which beat films from China and Belgium as well Spanish Pedro Almodovar's "The Skin I Live In," and Angelina Jolie's directoral debu[...]

5 Hollywood beauty tricks

1. Browlift or facelift for a day, as seen on Jennifer Aniston. Take a small hidden section of hair just above your ears and braid with tension. Secure tightly with small bobby pins by pulling up and back again. This creates a subtle temporary lift. Use small snag-free elastics and bobby pins that best match your hair colour.

2. Oily hair creeping up on your ‘do? Fine or tonged hair falling flat? Give your hair structure, as seen on Julianne Moore, by adding a little eco-friendly spray starch prior to heat styling – yes, the one you iron your clothes with! Use only starch that says vegan/eco-friendly, generally these will have potato or corn starch with water and no other added ingredients for non-toxic ingredients Or use Redken Spray Starch 15.

Spray evenly on damp or dry hair before heat styling (tongs, flat irons and blow-drying). For best results, spray section by section and comb through with a wide-tooth comb for even distribution. Starch helps to minimize oil as well as acts as a base for longer-lasting hairstyles. Since it will not fix a style in place you still need to use a hairspray to hold your style in place.

3. Create a flawless complexion, as seen on Natalie Portman. Start by using a silicone-based foundation primer. Silicone is a non-toxic ingredient that smoothes out uneven textures on the skin’s surface. It creates a longer-lasting base that neither creases nor looks cakey. Face powders can fall into creases or skin imperfections only to emphasize them. Silicone-based primers create a cushion between makeup and skin allowing for a longer-lasting and smoother air-brushed quality finish. Try RMK Make Up Base.

4. Red carpet glow. Skin illuminators aka the J-Lo Glow not only glam up your look but add a slight diffusion. It brightens up your skin and softens any fine lines to help you look rested as well as take the years off. Try Julie Hewett’s Shimmy All Over Face & Body Shimmer in Goldie on your cheekbones, brow arch and décolletage.

5. Broken uneven nails? Jazz up your hands, as seen on Fergie. Get a pack of nails and nail glue from Daiso – yup, the dollar store! If you have the time, shape and paint nails (if needed) the night before. Then pop them onto your nails as a finishing touch to your outfit.

Trick to prep nails: Glue freshly shaped nails to the blunt end of a toothpick. Then with the sharp end, stick them into a craft Styrofoam base for a secure hands-free way to paint and design your nails.

Miss America crowning new winner in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Miss America is getting ready to transfer her crown again to one of 53 pageant queens looking to prove they've got a winning combination of looks, talent and smarts to justify a yearlong run with the title.A panel of seven judges was set to pick the next Miss America on Saturday night during a live telecast on ABC, the culmination of a week of preliminary competitions and months of preparations for the titleholders from all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.Teresa Scanlan, a Nebraskan who won Miss America last year at age 17 to become the pageant's youngest winner ever, said contestants nerves will likely be at their highest point just before the pageant. But the young women have already given judges a first impression, she said, and largely shaped their fate through three nights of preliminary competitions at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip."You can always breathe a sigh of relief" once the live pageant begins, Scanlan said. Scanlan said the ultimate winner will have thought not only about receiving the crown and $50,000 scholarship, but also about her plans for spending the year as Miss America, touring the country to speak to different groups and raising money for the Children's Miracle Network, the Miss America Organization's official charity."It's not just life ends when they place the crown on your head," Scanlan said. "Being prepared for that is even more important than just being prepared through Saturday night." To win, each will have to impress the panel in preliminary competitions that include an extensive interview to become one of the top 15 finalists.More contestants will be eliminated Saturday night during swimsuit, evening gown and talent competitions. The top five finalists will answer a question posed by one of the judges, who will score each of the contestants in each competition throughout the night."When push comes to shove, you're out on the stage by yourself," said Miss America 1962 Maria Beale Fletcher. "All of that other well-meaning advice, all of it disappears. It needs to disappear because then you have to be prepared to rely on the inspiration that comes from within."Pageant officials announced the winners of preliminary competitions, including Miss Hawaii Lauren Cheape, Miss Oklahoma Betty Thompson and Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler for talent, and Miss New York Kaitlin Monte, Miss Texas Kendall Morris and Miss Utah Danica Olsen for swimsuit.Officials also said Miss Idaho Genevieve Nutting won the $2,000 Fourpoints Award, while Miss Kentucky Ann-Blair Thornton won the $6,000 Quality of Life scholarship. The Miss America Organization touts itself as the world's largest giver of scholarships to women, with about $350,000 to be given this year at the national level. Scanlan said she planned to use her scholarship to help pay for law school en route to a life in politics.[...]

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Meet With Barack Obama in Oval Office

Hollywood's most powerful couple came face-to-face with the most powerful man in the United States Wednesday.

Angelina Jolie, 36, and Brad Pitt, 48, were escorted inside the White House by several security guards, where they met with President Barack Obama, 50, inside the Oval Office. The actors first arrived in Washington, DC Tuesday for the premiere of Jolie's directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey.

According to the Associated Press, the actors "dropped by so [President Obama] could talk with Jolie about her work on preventing mass atrocities and combating sexual violence against women."

Lady Gaga Tops Celebrity 100 List

The Queen Monster's $90 million in earnings and mastery of social media pushed her past perennial winner Oprah Winfrey. Not that Oprah's doing badly. The men and women on our annual Celebrity 100 list--the most powerful people in the entertainment business this year--earned $4.5 billion over the last 12 months by starring in films, playing basketball, walking the catwalk and more. But they also rose to the top by garnering influence. These days that means mastering social media. Lady Gaga topples Oprah Winfrey from her No.1 spot on our list, which she's given up for only the third time in seven years. Gaga is there not just because of the $90 million she earned with a monster tour, but also because of her 32 million Facebook fans and 10 million Twitter followers--aka Little Monsters--who helped move 1 million digital downloads of her recent single "Born This Way" in only five days. They're also happy to buy the MAC makeup, Monster headphones and Virgin Mobile phones she features in her videos.Oprah doesn't fall far though. The daytime talk maven, who earned $290 million last year, comes in second. Winfrey's earnings sank $25 million partially due to a reduced payday at SiriusXM. She still earns big from her syndicated show and from the stars she's spawned, including Dr. Phil (No. 18) Rachael Ray and Dr. Oz. Winfrey's earning power will take a bigger hit next year, when her syndicated show ends and she concentrates all her efforts on the struggling OWN network.Maybe it would help if Oprah took a lesson from No. 3 Justin Bieber. The Biebs debuts on our list at the tender young age of 17, with $53 million earned over the last 12 months thanks to concerts, music sales and a 3-D documentary movie that grossed $100 million at the global box office. If this were 10 years ago Bieber would still be paying his dues in small clubs and schools, but thanks to the Internet, he's a sensation. His first hit song, "Baby," has been viewed 500 million times, a YouTube record.Reality TV it girl Bethenny Frankel is another newbie worth noting. Famous for her newest hit show, Bethenny Ever After, she's used the small-screen platform to promote her Skinnygirl brand, helping her earn $55 million this year. She joins our list in 42nd place. Her entrepreneurial prowess--she sold her Skinnygirl Cocktails to Fortune Brands ( FOPRA - news - people ) and nabbed a $100 million cut of the deal paid out over multiple years--also put her on the cover of our magazine this week. The Celebrity 100, which includes film and television actors, TV personalities, models, athletes, authors, musicians and comedians, is a measure of entertainment-related earnings and media visibility (exposure in print, television, radio and online). We also measure social media power by looking at each celebrity's presence on Facebook and Twitter. The earnings consist of pretax[...]

Couples to Watch in 2012

1. Last month former "Will and Grace" star Debra Messing, 43, announced she and her husband, 41-year-old writer and producer Daniel Zelman, were ending their decade-long marriage and remained "supportive of one another" and committed to raising their 7-year-old son Roman. The plot thickened quickly, however, when it came out that Debra was actually dating her new "Smash" co-star Will Chase, 41. And guess who also just decided to split from his wife, Broadway actress Stephanie Gibson? Yep, Will Chase. Wonder if they believe in Karma ...2. Talk about one super attractive couple! Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper have apparently turned an on-screen romance (in the upcoming flick “The Words”) into real-life love, and were spotted smooching at a Los Angeles New Year’s Eve party. In November, the “Avatar” actress announced that she and her fiancé, entrepreneur Keith Britton, had split after 11years, while "The Hangover" star and his former flame Rene Zellweger called it quits after less than two years last March. Zoe, 33, and Brad, 37, aren't wasting any time, and, according to E! news sources, have already told friends and family that they’re a couple and have been planning a ski trip together.3. Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling seem to be getting serious. Not only was Eva seen meeting the "Drive" star's mom on a trip to NYC over the holidays, but she was also photographed visiting her new man on the set of a project in L.A. on Wednesday. Do you think their love will last?4. What's one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood look for in a man? A stellar sense of humor, it seems. "House" hottie Olivia Wilde has been spotted getting cozy with "Saturday Night Live" cast member Jason Sudeikis in recent weeks -- attending a University of Kansas basketball game, strolling around Manhattan, and hitting up "SNL" after-party together. The 27-year-old actress recently finalized her divorce with Italian filmmaker Tao Ruspoli, while Sudeikis split from his wife -- "30 Rock" writer Kay Cannon -- in 2010 and later had a fling with "Mad Men" star January Jones.5. New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez and his new gal pal, former wrestler and Playboy centerfold Torrie Wilson, locked lips for all to see at a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game Tuesday night. The notorious ladies' man, who broke up with actress Cameron Diaz in September, seems to have a thing for blondes; other ex-girlfriends include Kate Hudson and Madonna.[...]

Beyonce’s Birth in the Lap of Luxury

Whether or not you've ever had a baby, you're probably aware that the actual process of giving birth isn't exactly a walk in the park. But if you're superstar Beyonce, you can certainly do your best to make sure you're surrounded by luxury, privacy, and special treatment.

The pop singer and her husband, hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, 42, pulled out all the stops to make sure they welcomed new baby girl Blue Ivy (who arrived on Saturday via C-section) in style. The couple reportedly shelled out a whopping $1.3 million to take over a swanky, newly renovated suite (and according to some reports, an entire floor) at Manhattan's Lenox Hill Hospital on the Upper East Side.

When Beyonce checked in -- under the pseudonym Ingrid Jackson -- her demands were definitely diva-ish. Hospital staffers were forced to turn over their cell phones (to avoid any unauthorized picture snapping) and instructed to cover the lenses of the floor's security cameras with tape.

And the "If I Were a Boy" songstress didn't just turn to hubby Jay-Z for support while in labor. She also enlisted an entire security team to stand guard during her stay. Sure, it makes sense that they wanted to ensure that Bey and her baby didn't get swarmed by the paparazzi or an unscrupulous peeping Tom, but the new mom seemed to forget that she wasn't the only one at the hospital with a bundle of joy to gush over. Among other parents irked at how they were treated, a Brooklyn man named Neil Coulon is still reeling from his run-ins with Beyonce and Jay-Z's muscle men while attempting to check on his premature twins inside Lenox Hill's neonatal intensive care unit.

"Three times they stopped me from entering or exiting the NICU and it happened once on Friday just because they wanted to use the hallway," the frustrated dad told the New York Daily News. "They should have been more strategic about it. These are children with problems in intensive care and you're just going to take over the hospital like you own it? All I want is an apology."

Katie Holmes Poses Topless: Sexiest Ad of the Past Year?

Katie Holmes is often seen in casual clothing with husband Tom Cruise and their five-year-old daughter, Suri, in tow. Her new campaign ads might be quite a shock for those used to seeing her in jeans or sweats, sans makeup. The 33-year-old wows in her new campaign ads for H. Stern jewelry where she can be seen almost topless in ultra steamy poses.

We wonder what Cruise thinks of his wife in these advertisements? We imagine he is extremely proud of his stunning spouse who is seen in little else but the sand on the beach as she models a Stern chain bracelet. In another she is seen wearing a gold necklace and a barely there black bra. Yes, guys, she is modeling the necklace, did you notice?

The ads are currently running in Israel and are said to hit the states this fall. Her new image is certainly uber sexy, and we think she may be focusing more on her looks instead of acting abilities after her talent in that arena received mixed reviews. Last spring, the History Channel's "The Kennedy's," in which Holmes portrayed Jackie-O was cancelled.

While her acting skills may be in question, her new ad campaign shows her modeling skills are most certainly not. The smoky, sultry look she reveals is extremely captivating. Could it be the sexiest ad over the past year?

Kate Moss for Pirelli
Just last month model Kate Moss revealed her nearly nude body for a Pirelli 2012 calendar. Warning, these photos make Holmes look quite tame, as she bares her breasts for all to see. The 37-year-old was photographed by her ex-boyfriend Mario Sorrenti, making for an extremely awkward moment, we think, for her new husband, Jamie Hince.

Rihanna for Giorgio Armani
In September, singer Rihanna also posed for some very steamy ads, wearing nothing but Giorgio Armani underwear and high heels sprawled across the back of an antique car. It ultimately received an award for the sexiest advert of 2011.

Miranda Kerr and Victoria's Secret
Last spring, Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr showed off her amazing bod just four months after giving birth to baby Flynn, her son with Orlando Bloom. The 28-year-old wore a teeny bikini during her ad shoot for the famous sexy lingerie retailer looking more sultry than ever.

Kim K. Replaced by Bulldog in Superbowl Ad

This is the best news ever! Kim Kardashian has been replaced … by a bulldog! In their new Super Bowl ad, Skechers has decided to replace the infamous reality star and marital loser with a French bulldog. Clearly, the company finally recognized true talent.

"Kim got us more attention than we ever dreamed," says Leonard Armato, president of Skechers Fitness, who stated that Skechers is launching a high-tech running shoe business. "We have to establish Skechers as more than a lifestyle company."

According to USA Today, the spot features a French bulldog bedecked in Skechers new GOrun shoes — racing a pack of greyhounds. However, the commercial has come under fire from animal rights group Grey2K USA, which is petitioning to ax the ad. It claims that the greyhounds were mistreated and kept in tiny cages at Tucson Greyhound Park.

While Skechers' contract with Kardashian expired at the end of 2011, her effect on the brand has been huge, Armato says. Two months before the 2011 Super Bowl, Skechers' Facebook page had 100,000 fans, but it now has 400,000 -- a great deal of of which he attributes to the reality star.

Mark Cuban, who appears briefly in the ad, knows that following the reality star will be tough. "I'm not Kim Kardashian," he says. "But one of the things I do know is high technology and how to use it."
Now if only that bulldog had some four-legged friends to replace Kourtney and Khloe – I might actually watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians sometime.

Celebrity Holiday Engagements

1. Will the third time be the charm for Steven Tyler? The 63-year-old Aerosmith rocker must have been thinking yes when he proposed to girlfriend Erin Brady over Christmas. Brady, 38, first met Tyler -- who is 25 years her senior – when she was working as the band’s accountant and the two began dating in 2006. As for Tyler’s womanizing ways, Brady tried an interesting approach. "I just said, 'Hey listen, if you play, I'm gonna’ play,'" she said on Oprah Winfrey’s new show “Oprah’s Next Chapter”. "He didn't really like when he was on the other side of that scenario."2. With two children together, actor Matthew McConaughey and model girlfriend Camila Alves were pretty committed already, so why not make it official? The couple, who have been together for more than four years, got engaged on Christmas and were clearly excited to share the news with the world, when McConaughey tweeted out a photo of him kissing his new fiancée along with the statement, "Just asked Camila to marry me, merry Christmas."3. Courteny Mazza and Mario Lopez arrive to celebrate Mario Lopez's birthday at Gallery Nightclub at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on October 8, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada.4. Country singer Wynonna Judd, 47, started her own version of an office romance with bandmate Cactus Moser two years ago and on Christmas Eve, the two decided to get engaged. This will be Judd’s third marriage.[...]

Top 6 Celebrity Drama Queens and Kings of 2011

A drama queen, or king, loves to draw attention to themselves. However, the celebrity versions are the most self-centered creatures on the planet. Look up narcissism in the dictionary, and you may find their photos.1. LeAnn RimesThey say the best way to deal with people dissing you is to ignore them, but not LeAnn. Ever since this cheater hooked up with another cheater, she can't stop defending her marriage ... or her weight ... or anything else. If you want to follow the country crooner's rants, just go to Mrs. Cibrian's Twitter. She's on it 24/7.2. Oprah WinfreyShe's got an enormous ego, but what do you expect? She's a gazillionaire. Catch Oprah on the cover of every one of her own magazines. Catch her dishing out advice to everyone, including fellow stars. Is "Guru" her middle name? You be the judge.3. Sarah PalinIn 2011, the former governor of Alaska was center stage. However, her spotlight grew dim after her big announcement. "After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for president of the United States," she said in October. But hold on. Drama queens don't stay quiet for long. "It's not too late for folks to jump in," Palin said in December, "Who knows what will happen in the future."4. Lady GagaBefore she became a mega star, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta looked like the girl next door in Abercrombie & Fitch. Not anymore. She ditched the jeans and sweatshirts for crazy hairstyles and outrageous costumes, and she changed her name. It worked. Today, scores of Little Monsters kneel at Lady Gaga's feet.5. Kim KardashianYou can always count on Kim Kardashian to keep things lively. Ever since she sprinted ahead of her sisters with that infamous sex tape, she's dominated the news. The latest, of course, was her 72-day marriage that debuted on E! to huge ratings. "Decided to change my twitter background to nothing. I wanna be more simple in 2012," tweets Kim. Don't count on it.6. Charlie SheenIt's as if he's positioned duct tape over his mouth lately, but at the beginning of 2011, the tape was off. Before he got back to work, including preparing for his new comedy series "Anger Management," he amassed millions of Twitter followers, invented new hash tags, attracted mega attention to his Sheen's-Korner on Ustream, and hit the road with his "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option" tour. We watched him rant about "Two and a Half Men" and rave about his goddesses, #tigerblood and #winning.[...]
