Equal Damage for all weapons or no damage at all?

Wed, 13 Dec 2017 00:04:27 GMT

Do any of you know of any games that include sub-systems for tracking monsters? Preferably, I'd like a system that makes tracking a tad more interesting than "do we find the monster - yes or no?" Any suggestions on how to handle this are very welcome. :)

[Fate Accelerated] pondering how to handle magic...

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 15:14:19 GMT

I've written a low-fantasy setting for FAE, which includes magic as something that anybody in the setting can potentially learn. In terms of game rules, the only requirement is that the character have an aspect relating to magic. What magic can do is freeform, requiring a roll against a target...

Theory Discussion: R>G>B and P>Y

Sat, 09 Dec 2017 16:04:06 GMT

If you've played any games on your phone or remember Battle Beasts, you've probably seen that familiar spread of Water beats Fire, Fire beats Wood, Wood beats Water. Most games also have a Purple beats Yellow, Yellow beats purple element as well. So...what if we did this for RPGs? Like, what...

Space Opera - Void Empires:2750

Fri, 08 Dec 2017 16:05:17 GMT

Good morning all, I am developing a 2d6 based, mindseye (non-miniature) space opera rpg. While it is intended to be cinematic - I am attempting to maintain hardness from an internal consistency perspective. This is an ongoing work of passion but with a significant amount of work having been...
