There is a vacancy on Kirkby Lonsdale Town Council. Following the death earlier this year of Cllr Donald Carmichael, formalities have been followed and there will not be a by-election to fill the seat. The council wishes to hear from anyone wishing to be considered as a new councillor. The position is open to anyone aged 18 or over, living or working within three miles of the centre of Kirkby Lonsdale.
