LEYLAND CC reignited their Chorley Building Society Northern Premier Cricket League Division One title challenge with a 55-run victory over Netherfield thanks to an inspired spell of bowling from 17-year-old all-rounder Ross Bretherton. Chasing a victory target of 140, the Cumbrian side made a fast start to their innings and had progressed to 32 without loss before the introduction of captain David Makinson and Bretherton into in the attack changed the game.
