Im not a prophet but I do believe he will play again just don't know where? I still wouldn't rule out him staying in Indy especially with how devastated that fan base will be if and when Irsay cuts ties to the man that made football matter in Indianapolis. Its a fact that the surgery Manning has had isn't a true career ender. Im telling you research his surgery and what different doctors have said about it. If anything its really more of the nerve that he has to worry about more than breaking his neck on a hit. Some of you guys make me laugh with put a fork in him, etc.... he turns 36 in March and with his QB style he can definitely play into his very early 40's if he chooses too. If he was a Vick styled QB with that surgery and got hit as much as Big Ben than Yeah be nervous of signing him. The man is one of the most intelligent players ever to play the game so whatever decision he makes will be the right one. This isn't Brett Favre here who will play ping pong going back and forth with a decision than over stay his welcome. This is a guy that has the intelligence and skill to carry a franchise who made average dudes look like pro bowlers with how hard he works. Any team to get this guy will have an advantage if his health is there when the non playing Rust wears off.

Matt Volk says: Feb 8, 2012 8:35 PM Duke isn’t going to be the best place for heeling tonight after the Heels dish out that beat down!!!!!! Matt- stick with your day job. Prophecy is NOT your strong point.

@vikescry1 He's been medically cleared in terms of the neck issues. He is at no more risk of serious injury than any other NFL player.

@riverhorey how do you know if he will even play again? he could get on a field and take 1 hit and be parlized? so saying he will win another superbowl is a bit premature...you should think a little more before you type in the future. good luck to peyton i hope him the best with whatever he decides to do.

Thu, 09 Feb 2012 00:33:15 +0000

Why isn't he working out around his own team doctors? This soap opera is pathetic.

By: thesarcasm

Thu, 09 Feb 2012 00:32:14 +0000

He can workout at the Colts facility since he failed his end of year physical. The problem is he would be limited to throwing to other Colts employees such as equipment guys and such. This could be a one time thing, it could be what he does moving forward. He trusts Cutcliffe, he has college receivers to throw to and Cutcliffe can evaluate him.

Thu, 09 Feb 2012 00:31:07 +0000

David Cutcliffe was his QB coach and Offensive Coordinator at UT so this shouldn't be a surprise. Plus Duke has some of the best medical facilities on the planet so when the Colts do cut him, he can just work with their doctors. It's obvious his time with the Colts has come to an end. I just wish the Colts owner would have the guts and just pull the trigger so everyone can move on with their lives and Peyton can begin to find a new team. Isn't like the Colts are hanging on to Manning to trade him. No one is going to pay that 25+ mill for him!!!

This is part two of the Manning/Irsay WWE style PR battle that started two weeks ago with Manning calling Bob Kravitz. There has been a back and forth going here in Indy, the last being Irsay saying Manning is not healthy per Colt Doctor standards, but had been cleared by International experts. So Manning goes to Duke, video will soon circulate of him throwing the ball around and the microphone will be back in Irsay's court to ask him "What Now that he can throw?" Not a surprise Manning would do this at all.
