Re: Mike Wallace on the trade block?

Mon, 30 Jul 2012 19:19:22 -0000

Mike Wallace is a great receiver, but he is not in the class as Larry Fitzgerald or Megatron. However, if he can command the money, more power to him. The way that big buisnesses and major corporations act toward emloyees and rarely do not give a darn about the individual, then the individual should do what is best in his mind. Call him greedy and whatever negatives you would like, but Mr Wallace needs to take care of number one. I would like to see him back with the Steelers, but if they could get a quality player in return, then that might be in the best interest of the Steelers either by trade or a high draft pick. Negative on Plexico. Go STTEELERS, Stairway to Seven!!!.

Trade him, get a good outside linebacker and a pick for him, he doesnt even deserve 10 mil a year, he was non existant the 2nd half of last year, see you later wallace take your stupidity and greed elsewhere, and by no one giving you any offers that ought to tell you somethiong you big headed fool.

Re: Antonio Brown signs extension in the midst of Wallace hold out

Sat, 28 Jul 2012 12:44:02 -0000

Look...I recognized Wallace's ability immediately.  But, neither I nor the Steelers is gonna play games with this guy.
He's dumb.  He failed to sign a wondrous deal (for him):  let him go--like all the other 'prima donas' the Steelers have.
We'll do fine with or without him; he won't be so lucky, elsewhere.

Re: Mike Wallace on the trade block?

They don't have the cap space to sign him to a long term deal now that they signed Brown

Re: Mike Wallace on the trade block?

How can Ed call this man wrong for trying to get a fair contract for him self.Wallace will still sign with steelers and he will get a little more than brown.

Re: Mike Wallace on the trade block?

Brown got the cash,he is a better team mate he is in camp, knowing his contract was up.He"s a winner Sanders time to shine this season with Crotchery and that young kid from Colo.they drafted they will be fine!Dont forget Rainey can fly as well.

Re: Mike Wallace on the trade block?

Sat, 28 Jul 2012 01:31:57 -0000

now that Brown has signed a contract Wallace will show us his real intentions.  if he shows up at camp then he deserves to have his contract extended maybe not for 10 mil a year but 5 a year.  he isn't worth more than the Ravens Rice and that should be the contract he strives for.  if he wants more then i agree trade him or just play out the year.  if he signs at week 11 i would let him ride the pine and not play him for even one down.  so Wallace it's put up or shut up time.

Re: Troy Polamalu admits to lying about concussions

Thu, 19 Jul 2012 13:00:54 -0000

< Not a doctor >I think the issue with concussions is that you never fully recover.  You aren't magically better after a week or two.  To play contact sports at a professional level, this is part of the risk that you incur.  Players have to sacrifice their health to participate in this league.  It's unfortunate, but it's the way it is.< /Not a doctor >

Re: Steelers sign Max Starks to one year deal

Wed, 18 Jul 2012 21:01:38 -0000

smart move to make starks an offer!! he is as solid as they come!!! our linemen must stay healthy and hungry with our aggressive style of dominating opponents until they give up!! we have great rb's and 3rd down specialists this year. big fellas if you guys dominate the line of scrimmage no one will stop us from winning the super bowl!!

Re: Steelers 2012 Position Battles: 3rd Wide Receiver

Wed, 18 Jul 2012 20:53:54 -0000

4 receivers of equal importance to bring us the title. can you recall having 4 fast, sure handed talented pro bowl caliber receivers in steeler history. we need for cotchery to show his experience and talents on the field for our complete package of weapons. emmanuel sanders must continue to wow us with his lynn swann skills and let the nfl that he is for real!!! you guys make me smile on sundays and proud of our organization!! wallace and brown must embrace these two teamates and take them in there wings for total arsenal of a explosive wr core for roth and our revamped super bowl offense!!

Re: McCutchen named NL Player of the Month

Sat, 07 Jul 2012 11:11:03 -0000

Signing him to a long term deal was the most important thing Pittsburgh did this offseason.  This is a player that you don't let slip away in free agency to San Francisco.

Re: Are the Pirates for real?

Tue, 12 Jun 2012 12:30:37 -0000

Fan graphs put up a fun little piece today about the Pirates.  The most intruiguing part of it to me by far being the team's extremely high "clutch rating".  I think that will be an extrmely key factor to our success this year as playing close games will be unavoidable for this team.

Re: Steelers Post 2012 NFL Draft Team Needs

Fri, 08 Jun 2012 11:16:36 -0000

I'm worried about relying on Worilds aas the eventual replacement for Harrison as a rush linebacker.  This reminds me of the years that we had Clark Haggans filling a void until another great Steeler outside linebacker stepped up.  I could see them looking for the next outside linebacker to compliment Woodley in the 2013 draft.

Re: Steelers Post 2012 NFL Draft Team Needs

Kicker is big for sure and I sure do have high hopes Dwyer will show up and go to work now that the OL is going to be one bad ass group.

I've always thought Dwyer is the biggest sleeper on the team with a sky is the limit future if he wants to get after it. Every time he's on the field he shows glimpses of what his potential is and it's way way better than just average.

I mean, damn, he's big and fast and strong and those quick feet sure do remind me of someone else, though I dare not even say it. At least not yet.

Re: Steelers Projected 2012 Defensive Depth Chart

Mon, 04 Jun 2012 11:25:38 -0000

Because Myron Rolle is unlikely to make the team. He took time off to study under his Rhodes scholarship and tried to return with Titans. He was subsequently cut and, therefore, probably does not play in to The Show's projected 53-man roster.

The only disagreement I have with the chart is that I would flip Keenan Lewis and Curtis Brown.  I have zero confidence in Lewis and evidence shows that the coaching staff agrees.  Brown, by product of being from Texas and Allen being from The Citadel, is closer in my opinion to being put out on an island opposite of Ike T.  Looking forward to your offensive projections, aside from the well-documented O-line.
