Um - how on earth could you leave the Powershot Pro 1 off this list?

Thanks ChrisPyNutt!

Time-permitting I will start another list of the Quasi-RAWsumers, the cameras that can get RAW through service menus as you described, ORF, CHKD and other methods.

The Casio EX-P700 and P600 have RAW via the service menu. I believe a few other similar era Casios have RAW via the service menu as well.scit

Use canon S70 and Olympus C7000. Both have raw.

C7000 has 1/1.8" CCD. Output is ORF, the same as of Oly's DSLR. Raw size is a 10 MB file, no compression (as of E-500). The raw can be openned by ACDSee Photo 2.0, PS CS/3, and, of course, Olympus Studio 2.x.

Thank you for your comments! Adding RAW times is a good idea! I'll add it to the list of things to add to the blog.

As far as the LC-1 it is listed towards the top of, in the 2/3" sensor section. This format is confusing though, I will merge all of them in a single list, and add an indicator of sensor size. It will be easier to find and put them in context!

The Panasonic LC1 *does* have RAW. A nice addition to your site would be the raw write times, most of these compacts have extremely slow write times. I can tell you the GX100 has around 4s. Keep up the good work!

Thaks for your comment!

Yes, unfortunately manufacturers have not released many in recent years. Infact this year only two non-DSLRs announced support RAW, and one of them is just an infrared version of the Fuji S9100/S9600. The only other new RAWsumer is the Ricoh GX100.
