Hola Ivy.... really????? Can't wait to see your veredict!

Yes before eating snails they have to be feeded with flour, and after let them without food for 2 or 3 days... this is how we do it here. And yes, sometimes they scape from the net!!!!

Hi Nuria, At last I am half Catalan. (You know what I mean and shall be posting about it soon). I am not sure if I would ever cook those feet but I love snails although I haven't eaten them since I left Cyprus and that's a lot of years. Here's something I remember. My mom put them in a pot (alive) and would feed them a whole day on flour and then would cook them. Some times they would escape from the pot...

HOla Ben... I'm not a big fan myself of patitas de cerdo, but my husband loves them!!! However, I could eat 1 kilo of snails without stoping to breath :D

Thanks Pixie. I think your Maltesse dishes are so extraordinary too! And I love learning about them :D

Thank you Arfi :D

Amy: I've added two more chairs in my table... just whistle and I get your dish ready :D!!!!
Yes, I think that many readers could find some dishes "weird" but only because they are not used to eat it!!!

If I were american I don't know who I would vote, I like both Hillary and Obama!

Peter, once they are dead, don't be scared :D Hey, I made a rhyme there ;-)

Another interesting look at catalan cuisine. You are the best Nuria. I admit I have never eaten either snails or pigs feet. It all sounds a little "scary" but I am willing to try. gracias amiga!

Now you've gone and done it! You've tempted me with a dish that may turn many off. I wish I could dine with you with this meal! Wow. This looks awesome.

And, thanks for yet another reason for me to vote for Obama in November (fingers crossed). I bet you John McCain has never even heard of Iberian Jamon! yum... I've gotta show my husband this post when he returns from his football game.

I love that you're introducing readers to delicacies many may find 'strange'. Great job!

amy

You'd be a smart guy if you eat it, Peter, and you'd be asking for a second dish... I bet! :D Have a great weekend Chico!

Val, you are like an enciclopedia to me... this link you passed me on the international kitchen is FANTASTIC!!!!! I didn't know about it! Is it what you did in Greece? What a wonderful way to spend your holidays :D. One day I will post about coca de verduras - in Alimentaria I heard that during the Romans' invasion of Iberia (Spain) they copied our coca and finally it evolutionated into their pizza!!!! Amazing :D

Chica...you eat pig's feet yet reject cheese...a sin! lol

If I was given this dish, I wouldn't know the pork was from feet, I eat snails and the meal is visually appealing. I'm game...I'll eat it!
