I'm here via Sognatrice. When I saw that your choice of recipe today was the "chocolate salami" I knew I had to come check it out. I'm Portuguese, and my mom makes this every Christmas, it's one of my favorite desserts. Her's is quite different from this recipe, but the gist of it is the same. Maybe I'll try this one this year and see what she thinks. Hmmm....

I don't see any leftovers here Jenn but if you say this recipe is better than the boy scout one, it must be pretty good. I do love Roberto's story! I'm getting the idea this is a book to have. Lovely write up and great photos as always.
