(image) Yes, it has been a very looooooooooooooooong time...Infact I think it's been a century since I've updated this blog. What have I been up to? Well, for one school, school, and school. Art never ends! And I'm absolutely enjoying it. At the moment I'm trying to get my portfolio ready to apply to the Art Center College of Design.

Here's the sad news...I might be moving over to Wordpress...But! You can always catch up with me there aaaaaaaaaaaand I'll be starting my Flickr site once more (I think I haven't touched that thing for over four years!).

From there you can see the progress of my art work and of course the adventures of the FOOD!
In the mean time take care of yourselves and I will inform you of my new website very soon!

:-)

The End....

There’s this new movie coming out called “Teeth.” It’s all about the myth of some women having a toothed vagina. Yeah. I know. It does look good and it had great reviews at the Sundance Film Festival. Personally, I find it kind of funny…Check it out if you’re into dark/horror comedy.I burned my forehead with my curling iron. I didn’t think it was that bad (there was no visible burned skin), but when I came home that night and pinned back my bangs…in the mirror I saw this gorgeous brown line that fell in midst of my eyebrows. I couldn’t help but laugh at myself (by myself); this is when I’m very thankful for having bangs (but they’re the ones that caused that burn!). Have you noticed that I injure myself about every other week (missed the post?)? It’s as if I heal from some body damage and I end up hurting myself again. I am a walking disaster…life’s never boring :-).Went to Whole Foods and got meself a fab box of 2 types of tabuleh, lemon noodles, and tofu. I’ve had better, that’s for sure.I was in this mood to have tomato soup all last week…tomato soup? I don’t even like tomato soup that much. But the cravings were calling, so I decided to make it. And guess what? I fell in love. Yes, my dear friends, I fell in love with tomato soup. They say that your taste buds change after seven years, and I think those seven years came and went…AND THE TASTE FOR TOMATO SOUP ENTERED MY BRAIN (and mouth).I poked around my cookbooks (veggie and non-veggie) to get the gist of what it’s made out of (tomatoes, duh) and I created THE MASTERFUL TOMATO SOUP!BEHOLD MY CREATION!I served it with tortilla chips ([...]

I’m absolutely ecstatic to announce that Sweeney Todd won 2 out of 4 Golden Globe nominations, Johnny Depp for Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical and Sweeney Todd for Best Picture for Comedy/Musical. I’m kind of disappointed that Tim Burton didn’t win Best Director and Helena Bonham Carter lost for Best Actress. This movie definitely deserved awards and I’m so pleased it was acknowledged. I just wish they can get this writer’s strike over with…these poor writer’s deserve a huge-mungus raise…I mean without them where would the whole media business be?!My art order finally came (after waiting for about 4+ weeks). It’s part of my mum’s Christmas present to me. The thing I was really waiting for was the Prismacolor 120 Color Pencils pack. It’s utterly breathtaking!I also received two huge plastic portfolios (they’re so big, I can’t even find a place to put them in my room!), a Prismacolor pencil sharpener, glittering confetti (I have a thing with sparkly stuff), animal buttons, and a whole bunch of other goodies that won’t interest you. I realized that I love tortilla chips. I mean I LOVE TORTILLA CHIPS! The semi-rough texture, the gorgeous crispy noise it makes when you crunch down on it, the salty-ness that satisfies that craving, and the beautiful toasty color. You must think I’m crazy…I don’t blame you, but I recognized this allure when I was drawing one day. I studied this chip and I understood my fondness for this incredibly delicious edible munchy! On a different note…I made a really good pasta salad, which involved caramelizing onions with some bell pepper and cherry tomatoes and spicing it up with rosemary and thyme. I also made salsa verde corn bread, thinking that if I change up the traditional recipe I might actually like it…nope. Still hate corn bread. But everyone else liked it…I baked the Strawberry-Rose Water Cobbler with Lemon-Poppy Seed Pastry from Veganomicon. I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it because it has rosewater in it…I have a thing with rose water. I guess it’s due to the fact that almost all Persian desserts involve having rose water in it, I get sick of consuming it sometimes. Surprisingly, I really liked it a lot! The rose water actually enhanced the flavor of the strawberries. I had some extra pastry dough left over from the crust so I made a blueberry bowl thing out of it. The strange thing was that everyone else liked blueberry bowl better than the recipe from the book. Weird. The End.(for today) [...]

My mum’s friend came over on Saturday (for dunch~lunch & dinner) and I absolutely adore this woman. She’s a two-time cancer survivor and a huge inspiration to everyone. I was in one of my grumpy moods (unfortunately) and was sulking /limping about around the house before she came. I finally decided to make some mac & cheese with tofurkey and a cranberry orange loaf (a la mode) for our little get together and my mum made some Persian rice and salad (and some other non-vegan things). I finally came around my moody self when she finally arrived and had a great time conversing about the good times. She was so honored that I gave her one of my drawings, even though it was a print, because she was so in love with it. I mean, I don’t find myself to be something to go all woot woot about. But, I felt very pleased that she found my work to be top of the line and unique. She comes from a history of artists, funny thing though she claims that it was never passed on to her. I bet it’s there somewhere in her. Anywho, she gave me the funniest Christmas present ever…Statistics for Dummies. She’s the best!My grandma taught me how to make this Persian soup called Osh. It tastes so DAMN good!!!! No worries you’ll find the recipe (my version) in my future cookbook. Hehe.I want to thank you humble people who wished my foot and I well. We are healing slowly, but surely. I eventually had to tell my parents because they were bugging the hell out of me (asking, “Why are you limping?” “What’s wrong with your foot?” “If you don’t tell me, I’m taking you to the doctor!” ßthreats are no joke!). The first night of my horrid incident, my whole right leg had a fever. After being heavily induced with a whole bunch of hydrogen peroxide on my foot and foaming white bubbles that seeped out of the wound, it began to finally heal. And currently I can walk semi-normally, so I’m thankful for that.I made baked some banana raisin oat bran muffins. Very nummy, indeed.Delilah’s 20th birthday was yesterday. Geez…20! That means in 6 months I’ll be 20 too…we’re so old! I made her some chocolate mousse cupcakes with some Newman O’s on the frosting. I finally was able to give her Christmas present (which she was so happy to receive…a framed picture, drawn by me, and some Victoria’s Secret stuff). I treated her out to P.F. Chang’s, which was going fab until she found a long blonde hair in her noodles. Yummy…While she was in Las Vegas over New Year’s, she bought my mum and I these incredibly cute Beatles glasses (because she knows how my mum LOVES The Beatles). Absolutely thoughtful of her!I hope you all went out to go see Sweeney Todd, I’m telling you it SO worth your time! For those who are squeamish about blood/gore/horror…you can see the first part of the movie, part of the middle, and just a tad bit of the end (that’s just for future reference). Just humor me and say you enjoy my on going fascination with Sweeney Todd…I was thinking about how all these people I love in the world of Hollywood and music…they’re all old. That means they’ll be deceased before me. Doesn’t that crush everything? Sorry to ruin it for you.Yes…The End. [...]

Sweeney Todd was absolutely outstanding…excluding the end, which made me feel so miserable. But I eventually accepted the tragedy and I think the ending is just the way it should be. For some reason a lot of people didn’t like it. I thought the acting/singing, casting, costumes, dialogue, music, and directing were fabulous. Although the blood could have been a tad bit more real looking. I went out and bought the soundtrack (and yes I bought the DELUXE EDITION, which came with an 80 page booklet)…couldn’t help myself. I’m constantly singing the songs, no wonder everyone is avoiding me these days. Va was incredibly funny. She closed her eyes so tightly and placed her jacket in front of her face when the first throat was slit. I just laughed and bellowed out “That looks so fake!” The people who sat next to me were like “Urgh!” Yes, the joys of blood and gore. Here's a clip of one of my favorite scenes...Hands down, Sweeney Todd has made my list of top favorite movies of all time…and I’m pretty sure that it has surpassed Nightmare Before Christmas and Pirates of the Caribbean. That’s saying something!!National Treasure: Book of Secrets was great too, though the first one was a lot better.Va and I went to the Moca (sadly Delilah was not able to come because she ventured off to Vegas…that dirty place…) to see the Murakami exhibition. I wish they let us take pictures, oh well… At least we were able to get some outside. What amazed me was the use of acrylic paint. On every single canvas board! So smooth… and the detailing! I had to keep reminding Va that the artist IS Asian, and everything an Asian does is perfect. Ha. I’m half, so I guess you can say I’m halfly perfect. Va is 100% and she’s super duper smart…with a mix of major laziness and valley girliness.Winter session has started. And yet again, I’m attempting to take statistics. This is my third time…I could go for a record! I promised myself not to drop it this time, no matter how tempting it is.So New Year’s Day came and went. Did you have fun? I’m wondering if 2008 will bring me any goodness. I don’t have any resolutions because they’re stupid and hardly ever work. I’ll try to go the gym on a weekly basis this year, but I doubt that will happen. My mum’s putting me on a less sugar diet because of my over consumption of it. She’s scared that I’m going to get diabetes because my grandpappy died of it (RIP). Hey, it’s not my fault I have a sweet tooth and a fondness for baking. Which reminds me! I baked this incredibly gooey chocolate raspberry chip brownies for the New Year’s Day party. I’m telling you, they went so fast! I tried my best to get a picture of a piece (so, I’m sorry about how terrible it looks). There was a cute non-vegan cake there. At the Marriot, by my house, they have an exclusive showing of some local artwork. These were the best, in my opinion. One last thing to say is that I gouged the heel of my right foot with a pair of scissors that were sticking up from a pile of clothes on the floor (and I thought the heap was harmless!). It’s a nice big cave of a gash probably about 2 inches long and God knows how deep. I don’t think you’d like to see a picture, not your cup of tea I suppose. I can’t really walk properly…but I haven’t told anyone (except for you special people) because I hate it when people have that “Ewww!” or “ARE YOU OK?!!!” None of which I can tolerate to answer or respond to. Life goes on, I can deal with it. I have Sweeney Todd to listen to, not mope around about my stupid foot!Hope the New Year of 2008 is treating you properly so far!The End.(for today) [...]

Christmas is over and New Years is coming fast. How was your fab holly-day?I got a pretty good haul of presents this year. Hehe. I got 4 of the things on my Blog Christmas Wish List…which included 2 new plastic sturdy portfolios, peppermint extract, knee high patent pleather boots, and 2 (!) warm jackets. My mummy got me the Stella McCartney parfum, which was totally unexpected, and these awesome “lava lamp” starry night lights. The best of all was that she ordered EVERYTHING that was on my art supply wish list, but was way WAY way too far off my budget.Anywho, that’s not what I was really looking forward to…I was waiting for the people’s reactions to my food.Yes, many “oooo’s” and “ahhhhh’s.” It made me feel all happy inside like a child getting a puppy. I was kind of last minute with doing everything, so I wasn’t able to make all the nummy food I wanted to make. I made mashed potatoes with Isa’s punk rock gravy, chocolate raspberry cake, oatmeal raisin cookies, chocolate raspberry puff cookies, Isa’s cranberry-orange-nut loaf, and cranberry oat bran muffins. My mum made this amazing pasta salad with sun-dried tomatoes, Italian sausage tofurkey, and olives. She also made her infamous cranberry sauce and a cranberry apple crisp (and many other non-vegan foods). My dad made a whole bunch of barbecue (veggies included)…I found that extremely abnormal. BBQ at Christmas Eve dinner? Strange. In all the party was superb. I finished my friends’ presents…My mum’s friend gave this stellar present, The Puppini Sisters CD! I was so stoked! It has great pinup girl pictures inside the cover. There’s interesting covers of Blondie’s Heart of Glass and The Smith’s Panic. Go check it out.My cousin’s girlfriend got him this AMAZING jacket. This design is just…I can’t even think of a word for it. There’s drawings of guns in the pockets, a butcher knife for a zipper, and a fantastic drawing on the back. I just couldn’t get over it. Maybe I can find myself a small enough version for myself…like a men’s extra small. Oh! And I fell in love with Mrs. May’s Naturals. For some strange reason I didn’t think that it was vegan. But, yeah!!!I found it odd they put this DO NOT EAT package in it (I know it’s for keeping it dry, it’s just funny). That’s all I have to say for now…until next time! The End.(for today)[...]

On behalf of my besty buddy, I’m posting my Christmas wish list…so she won’t badger me anymore about it (and I promise you, Va, there’s no jokes on this list, this is the real shit). So here it is…*2008 Pinup Girls Calendar (the drawn ones, not the actual photographs)*Patent pleather knee-high boots (good luck with that)*Warm jacket (that contains no wool, feathers, or any other animal based material…for some reason I can’t find one I like & if someone finds that ONE for me…I will love you forever!)*Black Purse (ditto the reason for the “warm jacket”)*The Bourne Series DVD Box Set (Identity, Supremacy, & Ultimatum)*PETA heart bunny necklace (absolutely adorable)*Portfolio for my drawings (the 2 I own are tearing…)*Peppermint extract (can’t find it in stores…)*More Vegan Cookbooks (a girl can never have enough!)*50 Billion bags of Smarties (my favorite candy since I was born)‘Tis that is all. Oh and you know, peace on earth, no more animal cruelty, the end of poverty, and me to have a guaranteed job as an art director…you know…all that jazz.I want to see everyone’s Christmas wish list! Get on it!The End.(for today)(By the way...why is everyone pregnant now? From Jamie Lynn Spears to Lilly Allen...Weird!)[...]

(image) Hello.

Life is not treating me very pleasantly in many ways, yet there are a few things that are going quite swell. My friendy poo has come down from Irvine for the holidays and it’s as if we just left off when she was here during summer break and there’s been no interruption at all. Weird.

But we’re going to go see Sweeney Todd together which I’m uberly stoked about. Wish she didn’t leave to go to Irvine…maybe our friendship wouldn’t have deteriorated as much.
(image)

I’m having a Christmas party at my house.

That means lots of cooking and baking and crying. Oh the holidays. What would I do without thee?

My presents are coming out superb, I must say (and that’s saying something!). I’ll post pictures of the glorious gifts after I have distributed them amongst my closest friends. I don’t want them seeing it on my blog at the moment.

Delilah and I are going to the Moca to go see the Murakami exhibition. I can’t wait! You should go check it out if you’re in the area.
(image)
How awesome would it be if I had my own showing at the Moca? Would you come? Ha.

The End.

Guess what?! It’s DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have so much to say! Where to begin?Well, my Portland, Oregon Christmas trip has been postponed till spring break. Why? There’s way too much shit happening. Ya. No details for the moment.Has anyone started their Christmas shopping yet? Since my list of people has greatly shortened, I have less money to spend. Ha! I’m ecstatic about Delilah’s gift…but I can’t say it because she reads my blog (Hi Loo!!!). Don’t you hate it when you’re bursting with excitement because of a gift you got someone but you can’t tell them about it?! It’s driving me up the wall!!Pirates came out and I’m temporarily happy. Hello?! Sweeny Todd!!!!!!!!Don’t forget to send out your Christmas cards!I got in the mood to bake some Christmasy crystallized ginger cookies and listen to rad Christmas music while doing so. After I baked the last cookie (that huge monster!!!) my mum and I watched The Polar Express. It got me all warm and fuzzy inside…makes me want to believe that there’s actually a Santa Claus out there.Yams are one of the bestest best things to cook up during this fabby cold weather. To tell you the truth…I never really liked yams…until! My mum made something and I fell in love (-ish). I’ve been experimenting with these curious roots and discovered a great recipe. I call it Roasted Yamotoesh. Hehe. It’s rosted yams, potatoes, acorn squash, onion, and carrots. By the way I’ve been thinking about starting up a separate blog just for recipes…I find it just a tad unfair that I keep all the magic to myself…so be on the look out for that sometime in the near future. Here’s one of the crazy things that I painted…It actually came out ok. Not as bad as the other, which I dare not post a picture of! I got a 98% on it because I pushed the boundaries of the values of color (WHATEVER).It’s kind of weird taking only two classes…but yet I don’t feel so much weight on my shoulders (at the moment). At least I just have to study for two finals. So I’m setting up my schedule for the spring semester, and shit!!!! I have so much to take in so little time. I have 10 (+) more art classes to take and 5 more G.E.s! I am definitely staying one more year. I think I might have to take 5 classes for spring. Urgh…what a bitch. I wish I knew what the hell I was doing when I started. Sometimes it’s really tough having a Persian dad. But now he’s all who-ha about me becoming an art director. Ok so here’s the schedule----> Graphic Design I~ M*W 11:10-12:35 (3 Units) Astronomy~ M*W 2:15-5:25 (4 Units) Illustration I~ T 5:40-9:55 p.m. (3 Units) Drawing II~ Th 5:40-9:55 p.m. (3 Units) Life Drawing I~ F 9:35-1:50 (3 Units)That’s so gross…I have a class on Friday. I haven’t had a class on Friday since high school. Poop. And yet again I’m stuck with two night classes. Am I complaining too much? I’ll stop.I think I’ll go bake something. The End.(for today) [...]

*scroll down if you’re here JUST to see the masterful Vegan Thanksgiving Food Porn*So…here’s the news. I dropped my chemistry class (on November 19), and I promise I won’t fuck up anymore. I got in a stupid car accident in the parking lot of Whole Foods (on November 20). My Dad’s stalking me. I got hit on by an extremely scary guy who said that I looked attractive in purple and asked for my number (!). I have no idea where the hell I’m transferring to (as far as Universities). In all, the world is coming to an end.I’m tremendously depressed/angry/tired/major emo/weak. Why is everything happening to me? What the hell did I do? Is this what I get for being too nice? I think I need to take Delilah’s advice and flip my mattress. I’ll let you know if it works. You’re probably wondering what the hey happened with the accident. Supposedly some crazy lady pulled out of a stall while I was taking a right in the isle. I think I’m the one at fault, but my parents and adjuster say it’s the crazy woman’s fault. This is my second accident…it’s almost been a year since the last one. JESUS! I’m not a bad driver…it’s just…I don’t have any explanation at the moment. I’ll say one later. (But I swear I’m a good driver!)Anywho…It was Davey’s birthday on November 20th…yes the glorious day I had my fab accident. Can you believe he’s 32?! He’s the most sexiest 32 year old I’ve ever seen! Happy Belated, Dave! And guess what? Jade’s 34th birthday is on November 28…How cute. And that, my friend, is major gorgeousness! Wish I could celebrate it with him. Did I ever tell you that I’m naming my future kid after him? Well, now you know.Dudes!!! They updated the zuney and it’s freaking AMAZING! I hated it at first, but now I think it’s the cooliest thing EVER! I think the whole world should disregard the iPod and discover the many wonders of the ZUNE. By the way, my Zune is more than a year old now! How time flies!*Here’s what you’ve been waiting for!* I spent all night/day Wednesday/Thursday baking and cooking for the Thanksgiving party…that I totally forgot to take pictures! So I took pictures of whatever that was left over. So I must apologize for the ugliness of the presentation (I tried my best to make it pretty). I made Peanut butter Chocolate, Chocolate Raspberry Mousse, Lemony Ginger Cream Cheese, and Caramelized Appley Vanilla Cupcakes. The pumpkin pie I made was my first, so it came out (unfortunately) a little toasty. I personally thought it was yummy, but there was mixed reviews. I must say that everyone raved all night long about my cupcakes!!! Woot woot! Go Me! I ate my own mashy potatoes with my mum’s world famous cranberry sauce for T-Day dinner (that’s what I basically ate every Thanksgiving so there was no hurt feelings), but my cousin made sure to make some vegetarian dish so I won’t be disregarded (I feel loved). Take care of yourselves, fellow bloggers. It’s an extremely scary place out there. The End.(for today)[...]

So I have dropped my math class because I can’t have a D on my transcript. That D will definitely drop my GPA like no other! I’m kind of depressed about it because I could have passed that class with an A…if only I studied a lot harder…It’s just that this semester my head wasn’t where my body was. I promise I’ll do a lot better in the spring session. In the mean time I’m going to take some winter classes to make up for the units. I think I’m going to need to spend more time for studying than coming up with recipes and drawing…

How about some Vegenaise? It can make anything taste good.
(image)
Meh. I feel extraordinarily crappy.

Do you like what I’ve done with my bloggy? Or is it too much? Is it too overcrowded? I’ll take a poll! I was getting too bored with it…it needed something more. If it’s too distracting let me know.

Have you seen the line up for night 2 of KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas?! I WANT TO GO!!!

Hi Sexy People. Here it is in November…what the hell happened to all the posts you say? Well…I have no explanation for that, except if you’ll accept that I was absolutely busy and that I barely had any time for myself…or you can just stick your big ass nose in the air and say I don’t believe that bullshit. Whatever floats your boat, honey!Would you like to know what happened while there was no updations??? I know you’re pissing yourself with excitation…calm down! Did you think that I’d never update this blog? I bet you thought I just completely forgot about it…no. I thought about it on a daily basis…wondering when I need to do my updation. Geez that took forever, no?Let’s start with school, since that’s what governs my life. I’m not doing so fab…My art and English classes are spiffy, but my math and chemistry. Dude…that’s a totally different story. I think I have a D in both of them. Do you understand how bad that is?! I don’t get D’s…nothing ever below a B!!! I have no idea what happened. I study my ass off like no other, but when I take the test…the “stupid monster” takes over my brain and makes me go blank. Urgh, where did I go wrong? I think I need a break from school. College is a huge pain in the who-ha! Can’t some music company just hire me as their art director? I mean do I really need to involve Calcium Bicarbonate with figuring out what we’re going to be using as the layout for a CD cover? I hate being stupid. No worries, my children, I’m not going to go all emo on you. But the strange thing is that I became really close to the people in chemistry. Who knew?I don’t think I’ve ever ditched a class so many times in my life (OK…let’s exclude middle school…haha). My friend and I went to a Shiny Toy Guns concert on a Thursday night (which is my English night class). The two opening acts were…ummm…interesting? The first band: Le Men Le Purr…Yeah. I know. Second Band: Hairy Navels. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Just Kidding. I forgot what their name was, but they were either shirtless (exposing their hairy navels) or wearing a blazer with no shirt under. Why did STG choose them for their opening? I have nooooooooo idea.I think I discovered my all time FAVORITE movie of all time. Stranger Than Fiction. Yes. You should watch it. In fact, I want the whole world to watch it! I love it. It has this awesome indie vibe (like The Life Aquatic [...]

Sheesh! It's been like what? A month (+) since I've posted anything. Where to begin? Well, let's start off where I left off.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was truly a fantastic booky excluding the epilogue (which killed everything that I had my hopes up for). There were so many deaths that made me depressed and I had to gradually let that sink in. My favorite quote was "Look...at...me..." I'm not going to say who said that incase other people haven't read it yet. But that was the most beautiful/sad/touching part EVER! Especially when you find out why he/she said that. 'Tis the end has come to the greatest books of all time. I have finally accepted it.The heat here in SoCal is unbearable. I've been hanging out at the bookstores looking at cook books...and I've spending all of my money...Total amount in wallet: $8. Sad, but true.My mum's friend took us out for lunch on July 20th. P.F. Chang's is a fab place to go to when one is with carnivores. Vegan friendly! My mum & her friendy poo had some yummy (yet not veg friendly) desserts.I got really wok happy. I made some Bok choy & mushroom with some olivey noodles. But the best of all the woky things that I made was this kick*ass stir-fry that my dad couldn't stop raving about. Secret ingredients? If you really want to know, you can send me an e-mail begging and pleading that you need to know what they are because you're going to die without knowing. Sorry...it's something I don't want floating around everywhere and people claiming it as theirs.I haven't been very tidey in my room...which is a huge no*no. Cleanliness is the way to be (especially in the kitchen!)Now...my "friends"..including my "best friend" have pissed me off like no other. So I am in no contact with them what-so-ever. And they seem to not care. And that is why I hate it here in SoCal. Everyone is so fucking selfish and materialistic that they don't see that there is more to be a friend than going out to shop.Which brings me to talk about ...I might be moving to Portland, Oregan. Ya! I'm getting *sick* of the people here, not to mention the weather. My parents are getting tired of it here too. We're going on a research trip there in December & if all is well, then we sell the house...hopefully by June and it's off to a new beginning. I really hope it happens.Forgot to mention that my summer class (sociology) was extremely I'm-going-to-place-my-head-on-the-desk-and-sleep-but-I-can't-because-there's-10,000-notes-to-take-and-I-have-a-quiz-tomorrow-boring. There was some interesting info, but most was blah blah blah. Now I have one more year to finish up at my community college and it's off to the big 4 year (woo...).Blaqk Audio's CexCells is one fantastic album! Never knew Davey was so dirty!Anywho, I'm pretty sure that's everything in a nutshell. I hope my fellow bloggers are doing well! The End.(for today) [...]

Transformers! More than meets the eye! Woot Woot! Transformers was freaking awesome (I saw it on 4th of July)! What creeped me out was that my mummy turns out to be a Transformers geek. Yeah. Did not expect it at all. We weren’t that late when we arrived at the theater, but it was packed! It was the first time that I sat in a side chair (you know the ones that only have two seats in a row), but it was all good. Oh and I also saw Michael Moore’s Sicko. It’s definitely worth watching. Now I want to move out of the US and go live in Europe. The movie really opened my eyes to the insurance crap. I think it’s so sad how the world only revolves around sex, money, and power. NOW! HARRY POTTER!!! I’m so stoked!!! I think I’ve lost my mind by waiting for-EVER for this book! If you don’t mind I will nerd you out with some Harry Potter convo (oh, and I need to mention that HP the movie didn't come out on the 13th but on the 11th. Damn people who tell me wrong info that make me sound stupid. I will be watching sometime soon, by myself because people are way to busy to see it with me so screw them, and I will be giving my full hearted review soon). Ok…here’s some very interesting facts that you may or may not have realized throughout the Harry Potter books: *J.K. Rowling took parts of the words Quaffle (Qu), Bludger (d), and Snitch (itch) to make up the word Quidditch *If you rearrange Severus Snape’s name it becomes Perseus Evans…Lily Evans—any connections??? *In OotP, Harry’s first stay at Grimmauld Place, the entire house sits down to eat dinner, which equaled to a total of 13 people. Remember when Professor Twelawney stated in PoA that the one who rises first from the table of 13 will die? Well sure enough…“Sirius started to rise from his chair.” [...]

I have been taken over by the Lazy Demon of Laziness and that is why I have finally posted today. Aren’t you uber duber excited for Blaqk Audio’s CexCells???? I cannot wait! I’m still trying to figure out if Jade’s bloggy is run by him or just a stupid imposter that makes me happy when an updation has been posted. The one of the people who run the message boards on the official Blaqk Audio fan site (www.blackinkstyle.com) say that it is… Had an absolute bad experience when I started baking my thumbprint cookies on Thursday night (06/28/07)…everything just went all kapooey. The humidity wasn’t helping either. My batter was way too sticky and all the things that I touched just got batter on it. My cookies turned out flat…ugly…and too floury. About four of them broke in half and a couple of them sunk right down the middle making a nice fountain of strawberry jam. To make things even better I broke the coffee pot (glass shards everywhere!!!). I dunno. I guess the Baking Gods weren’t too happy with me or it’s sign that I’m crap like my cookies. Bah! Be gone you evil demons of horrid incidences!!! Leave me to bake glorious cakes and cookies and not this shit that I have been creating!!!A game of hearts lifted my spirits just a tad bit (the dots represent how much it improved my mood---> ..) and as always, I type my name in as “moo” when I play. You didn’t need to know that… Potluck (06/29/07). Yes. I debated to give the carnivores my cookies…I thought not! If I did, then they were going to think that these crappy cookies are what vegan people survive on. I can’t do that to my fellow veggies!!! I’ll kept the crap to myself (strangely my mummy loved them…why is it that all the poopy things I make end up being a good thing with her? Because she’s my mum and she doesn’t want her daughter to think that what she makes is shit. What a fab mum I have!). I went to go check what they had…nothing really (for me that is). I took pictures of the fruit, few veggies, and my mum’s salad. The did for the fruit and veggies weren’t vegan. I ate nothing. NOTHING. I felt sick from the ch**ken w*ngs that were on the table. I have got more than half of my room makeover done. I’m happy it’s not as crowded and now I actually have light!Harry Potter, Yo! Oh and my mum made a spiffy pasta salad. I hope you all have a fab Fourth of July! (I’m going to go see Transformers!) The End. (for today)[...]

Good Day Mates! How’s life treating you? Excuse my random blah blahs that I post occasionally…sometimes you just have to let it out. Anywho… On Friday (06/22/07) my best friend and I spent the whole day together (wee!). We watched Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (my 2nd time, her first…sadly she hasn’t watched the 2nd one yet…Dead Man’s Chest) and spent about 500 hours at Whole Foods (her first time going there…so you can imagine a kid going into a candy store). I swear we were in the water isle for about 20 minutes. Then we went to the iMac store and took extremely random pictures on their computers (I’m on the left…just to let those who can’t tell a Chinese chick apart from a half Persian/half Korean girly). Sadly, she’s not going to return for another month aaaaaand she’s still a carnivore. Meh. I have no idea how we turned out to be the best of friends. Very strange, no? I was absolutely in shock to see that Jade posted on his blog after…what? 8 billion years?! That made me H-A-P-P-Y! I am glad to see and hear that my poop cake has become a success by my fellow bloggers, family, and friends. Who would ever have thought that the poop cake of all cakes would be a winner?! Ha ha. It is very very very very (just multiply “very” by infinity) here in the So Cal…the valley, yo! I HATE THE VALLEY! Not really…I just hate heat. I’m like an ice cube that has been placed on a hot stove… “I’m melting!” And to those who never believed in global warming until recently (or just don’t believe it exists) and have been using aerosol hairsprays and whatevers, I say FUCK YOU! We’re suffering because of you and pretty soon we’ll be nothing like those poor innocent creatures that you have drastically tortured and have so willingly placed on your goddamn plate to eat. What was I saying? Ah, yes, so to keep myself cool and not use so much energy, unlike those other bastards out there who cause power outages, I make smoothies and milk shakes! Yummy mummy! If you’re one for tarty stuff…here’s one that I luuuuurve (I haven’t named it yet…how about…Num Num? Ha ha, that sounds funny. It’s not sugary, so if you want something sweeter I suggest using about a Teaspoon or a Tablespoon of maple syrup): Ingredients: 5 Big Hugemungo Frozen Strawberries (or about 7 normal ones) 1 Box of Frozen Blueberries (about a cup) 1 Cup Soymilk ½ Cup Soy Yogurt The Magic: Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until all the lumpy lumps are out and my dear friend, you have yourself a fantastic drink to keep yourself cool. Forgot to mention that my mum’s friend got me The Mediterranean Vegan Kitchen cookbook. *Happy* I was thinking about buying it, but I wasn’t sure due to the fact that…well, you know, me already being half Persian. I was really pleased to see that it’s not the usual traditional dishes that’s in it. I most definitely recommend it to other people who are looking for a new kick in their vegan diet (and those of you who aren’t vegan…GO VEG!!!). I don’t think I’ve ever met a Persian vegan…actually my aunt’s friend’s daughter was a vegan for about a month and then she was like “My body needs meat.” Urgh. Screw you. I’ve met Persian vegetarians, though. Most of them do it for themselves and not for the animals.[...]
