Thanks Superchef!!! :) I don't mind the cleaning Maria, cause if I don't do it, it weighs on me and I can't relax until it is finished! I loved Hampshire, Lilian. It was a great place...what do you mean that you aren't surprised? ;) I would certainly encourage others to go there- you learn how to be self-sufficient, do your own research and find your own answers. It is a school for the thinking mind for sure. I guess I am compelled to help with Native American issues because they are the caretakers of this country. I care an awful lot about the Earth and environment and so do Native people, so I feel for their plight, because it is similar to mine. Not to mention they were sovereign nations and were treated as such when the "founders" of this country had dealings with them. It was not until this government decided that they wanted the land and resources where native people lived that they decided to illegally ignore those treaties and the sovereign rights of these people. I guess that is telling to me that if the government can ignore and infringe upon the rights of sovereign nations, who is to say that they will not infringe upon mine. Therefore I felt it was necessary to bring this to light and help them keep that sovereignty. Most of the recipes we made consisted of sheep and goat and fry bread. It was not the best food I have ever had, but it certainly kept me alive and going under the harsh conditions.

So, you went to Hampshire... I can't say that I'm surprised (given what else you've revealed about yourself). What did you think of that school? Do you encourage others to go there? I considered applying to Hampshire (as it's in my home state and has a reputation for exceptional liberalism)--ended up going to Bard instead. You seem conscientious and altruistic. Why were you compelled to devote so much of your time and energy to helping the Navajo (as opposed to some other struggling ethnic group, or even another Native American tribe)? ...Did you learn how to make any traditional Navajo food while you were living on the reservation for six months? Would you be willing to share a recipe or two?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like thongs or nylon hosiery! I could do with being more neurotic about cleaning. Cleaning the kitchen.. including dishes is my least favourite activity of all time I think. I love being in the kitchen ..and cooking..but I just hate the cleaning part. It's a downer for me because obviously I have to do it! I wish we had some of those non trans fat organic cheesy puffs here in Australia! I love your snack list. Very interesting MEME post Jenn! :-)

I love the fact that you do bellydancing! When I lived in Sydney for 12 months, I did a 3 month course in it and loved it - such good fun.

Good MEME! I hate thongs! I want to be comfortable. I'd rather wear giant, white, cotton underwear.

Great to learn a few more things here Jenn. Especially about the Navajo reservation. And after many espresso machines, I agree, the stovetop cafetera is the best!
