My poor old 1943 Household Searchlight Recipe Book is falling apart more and more. It was already old and tattered when I acquired it, with stains and splatters, even torn endpapers, a partially torn page and a fragile leather cover. It still has that wonderful leather smell. Blogging it's dessert recipes for more than a year and a half now, and using it in my own kitchen has worn it even more.
