Anette, usually pulavs/pilafs are made using absorption method, so that rice absorbs all the flavors. But if you do not like it, you can use cooked rice

Also would it be okay to use cooked rice,because I don't like the starch in the absorption method,or would it alter the taste? Thanks Shilpa

Hi Shilpa, I completely understand the term 'natural mushrooms'; and one needs to be careful while looking for mushrooms in fields coz not all of them are edible. And of course, these edible - self grown (coz no one really plants them) mushrooms taste very different(yummy beyond words) from the home grown or commercially grown mushrooms. Thanks for the recipe, will definitely try it out.

You can foage for mushrooms in the US too, they are called wild mushrooms, but you need to know which ones are edible. Foraging for wild mushrooms in the US is a hobby.
