Oh, cool, another knitter from the Saarland- I'm half a Saarländer myself and my former room-mate that just picked up the sticks again, is from the Saarland as well:-)

Thank you for the reply! Uh oh- this means I have to buy more Silk Garden... I simply cannot resist this yarn. My dream project? A Noro sweater. Can I afford one? Not in the near or even not so near future! LOL But I can do scarves and love wearing them- I wonder if any of my students got a glimpse of my neck since early October. I don't think so.
Anyway, I could indeed do with another shortish scarf, some of mine ended up looking like the attack of the boa constrictor scarf.
Oh, I'm in the Saarland area, on the borders to France and Luxemburg. Lovely area, even though there is no local Starbucks around. LYS are ok though, especially for sock yarn. (I too love to knit socks!)

OH, that's so nice they mentioned you on the podcast. I guess I need to start downloading those . . . or whatever you need to do . . . I'm not sure.

@Nadine, thank you! Well, it was one colourway. I used two skeins of Noro Silk Garden. If you go back in my entries you should be able to find out which colours they were. The scarf didn't get too long...it's more like an 'artist scarf' (Du weisst ja wohl, was ich meine, oder? Dieser Künstlerschal) to wear for show. But actually it can keep me quite warm, too! Where are you from in Germany then?

@Christine, thank you! Hehehe, now you'll probably have to hunt down that issue if you haven't got it!

Now I have to go and find the elusive VK Men Special! I don't know if I have that one. If you change your mind on the other one or something happens and they stop offering it - let me know.

Hi there, just came across your blog via the pointysticks website- I love your knitting! I'm in Germany too and looking at the photos on your website I see that we even knit the same yarns! :) I adore your Noro project- the color changes look absolutely stunning! How many skeins did it take you to make this?? Was it just one colorway??

Woo-hoo! And I already heard you being mentioned last night and that you made Christine feel all giggly:-)
