Oh yay, I see that you've ripped back your socks! Now you're all ready to do some more work on them :) when you've gotten over the ripping :) can't wait to see how the present for your mom turns out.

The Moo Mini Cards are so fab! But I don't take good pictures. Can I order a set based on your flickr account? That would be much more useful for me.

Here's a post from the Harlot that describes how she blocks using string and pins. This method has worked well for me.

Loved the first podcast and looking forward to the next one :D

I signed up for the waitlist ages ago and haven't got an invitation yet, so WHAT? Does my life depends on this? no! Does the world stops spinning? no!
I'm looking forward to the day when I'll be invited but since then life will go on and my joy will just be bigger (I hope) but till then I will reading blogs, will listen to podcasts (just wrote podcats ;) ) and be patient :) If some people can't wait they can set up their own thing and see how much work that is!!!!!

I love your lacework btw! great colours :)

There's no excuse for the rudeness of the post you describe...but as someone who's been waiting for an invite, I have to say that it's frustrating hearing all of these podcasters and reading all of these bloggers talking about how amazing Ravelry is.

Also, it appears that at least some Ravelry users were given invitations to issue to whomever they want; to me, this violates the spirit of having people sign up for a waitlist because if you happen to know the right person, you may have gotten an invite and jumped the line.

I completely understand the need to keep Ravelry from being overwhelmed at this point and will continue to wait patiently for access...but it just feels like there's an exclusivity to the whole process to those of us who aren't popular podcasters or A-list knitbloggers.

I love the shawl. I think I'm going to recommend it to my roommate who is looking for a shawl pattern to start on.

Don't worry about the rantings of dumb users. I have to talk to them all the time at work and they're very impatient sometimes. Casey shouldn't listen to that rude person, because I've heard nothing but good things about Ravelry.

I finished my clementine shawlette a while back. I have blocking wires but it worked out better just wet blocking with pins due to the shaping on this shawlette. Isn't it a fun pattern to work? I really liked it a lot and have plans to make another one but adding a couple more ridges to make it wider.
