I was surfing the net today and found your blog. It's interesting and fun to read.

I have a site where I provide craft ideas for pillows and pillow forms. I thought it might be mutually beneficial if we swapped blogroll links.

Please take a look at my site and see if it's something you might be interested in. http://pillowforminfo.com If you are at all interested please shoot me an email and let me know the text you want me to use in your link. I'll get it up right away and then send you the text for my link.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Jackie

Like Cheryl, I would love to know anywhere that is selling the patterns for your new yarn online (especially if they provide them free with purchase like some of the LYSs). Unfortuantely I have not yet seen your yarn available in Columbus, OH. I did order some LOVE online and I do adore it!

Hi Vicki,

I just wanted to let you know that there is one correction to the pattern you should make. The cast on needs to be 66 stitches, not 65!

I just started this today, hopefully I will have pictures to share before too long. :)

Kimmee- I suggest using size 8-9 short needles for teaching children. Melanie Falick wrote a great knitting book for kids called appropriately enough, Kids Knitting. It's got instruction, cute, easy projects and even a little poem to help children remember the steps of a knit stitch. Hope that helps!

Jennifer--I'd be honored!

Vickie,
I would be glad to purchase the pattern, but I live in Augusta, GA and neither knitting shop carries your new yarn or patterns. I'd love to know of a mailorder place to get it. Also, I'm not sure how to get you my email. Thanks!

Cheryl

Vickie I tried posting on your previous blog entry.
This past weekend I bought shorter needles and thicker yarn. Watched you links you gave me...I am computerwheelie on myspace. Somehow I just caught on.

The shorter needles work for me because they don't get caught in my vent tube. As I progress (hopefully so) will I necessarily need to get longer needles????

I am addicted to knitting now and so is my friend. She left today with yarn and a pair of needles.

thanks
you just rock!!!!

Melissa, I agree! As I was knitting I was thinking the same thing. It drapes really nicely. Please send pictures if you decide to turn it into a shawl. :-) Oh and thanks for answering the yarn question for me. It's been a den o' sick over here for the past few days, so I'm a little slow in responding.

Anonymous, the blue ascot pattern is available through yarn stores--I'm going to ask SWTC if they mind me posting it but if you don't tell anyone, I could probably e-mail it to you. ;-)
More on the scarf in my profile pic, tomorrow!

Annetee, Awwww, thanks! So glad to hear your friend digs the knitting!

xo,
Vickie

I'm not sure how to post a comment here, but this is about the third try. Vickie, I know this is off the subject of the free pattern for April, but I was wondering where I can find and purchase the pattern fro the lovely turquoise ascot or neck scarf you have on in the picture for your blog? It is so pretty. Thanks!

Ohhhh...this is SO pretty! I can't wait to make it. :) Thanks for the pattern. By the way, I sent my photo of the peacock scarf I made to your webmaster, per your request. :) I hope I can do THIS pattern some justice, too. Plus, I really want to try out your beautiful yarns!!!

Love the look of the this pillow! It would look so good in my daughter's room. The only problem is that there are no retails store in Minneapolis,MN (which I'm really disappointed to find out) that carries your yarn. Is it possible to buy it online?
