Well I'll be, I search on the Google for this, and this website pops up first. Good job on that SEO :)

@anon use it as a learning opportunity...it craps out because -f expects a file and the next argument you put was z tar -cvzf mytarfile.tgz mydir/ would work

I freaking HATE it when people post "solutions" that don't freakin' work. Take the extra one minute to test your little one-liner before publishing it to the world.

I had similar poor dealings with QCUSA... product would not even install on my system but "worked fine on our test system", so they would not refund what I paid. Be aware of their return policy and hefty "restocking fee" and consider taking your business to some other place where you'll be treated with respect.

We just rushed our dog to the vet and the first thing the vet asked was if we had Sago Palms. We have many of them but never knew they were poisionous to animals. After 2 days in a vet speciality hospital she had ingest too much of it and we had to have her put down.

Thanks, man. Years later and this is still a relevant post. I also can't believe this is not the default. I started using the Mac full time several months ago, and had been living with this frustrating issue for too long. Fortunately, your page came up at the top when Googling for "mac tab to button".
