A-freakin-men. The perception will always be that the race is a "lesser than" race as long as the television "coverage" is as such. It's a shame too, as NBCSports could REALLY showcase Utah to a National and International audience.

Hey Flahute, It was so good seeing you out there. In fact seeing you the two times I did on the course were very happy reprieves. It reminded me how relative everything is. Many think I only care about racing. The truth is the greatest joy I have on the bike is enjoying with my son, my husband, and my two wheels loving friends. Racing is fun, but it is the people, the scenery, and the rawness of heart the really moves my soul. I'm looking forward to seeing you out there next year.

I've never heard of the McDowell Mountain Mob ... is there really such a thing? And believe me, I'll be back in Salt Lake City soon enough, wishing for warm, dry weather to go for a pedal ... but when it's not, and the inversion gets bad, I'll head up a canyon and strap planks to my feet and hurl myself off the top of a mountain a few times.

Oh, I'll get you for this. I was riding in long sleeves and leg warmers through water, slush and snow today. Still, you know what? It didn't suck nearly as much as not riding at all. Give my regards to the McDowell Mountain Mob. I may be down that way in January or February.

I bought one of Ron's frames after his big write up in Rouleur magazine. I don't know how I had missed him prior to that-- a special human being.... Well, I built up the frame with modern Campy SR and the result was amazing.... My thoughts of Ron and the bike are keepers....
